Bar type food is good, fancier food is good. They need a cider or two on tap but they do have Angry Orchard in bottles so if you are gluten free you'll at least have something to drink here. I would prefer either Angry Orchard Rose or Strongbow Rose, but I'll live. Patio bar is amazing when it's not too hot out. Pretty big and tables are placed so you don't feel like you're sitting on the next table over. Hate feeling cramped. read more

TJ Chumps has the best ribs in the area! They have both outside seating and inside with many TVs for your sporting viewing. My wife and went there on Sunday evening and both ordered ribs and they were fall off the bone tender. We barely sit down and our drinks were at our table. We ordered an appetizer and it did not take long before it was delivered to us. Our drinks never got below half full, before they were filled. The servers ( Ariel and Megan) were outstanding and worked as a team to make sure we were always taken care of. Ariel and Megan are two of the best servers I have seen and both deserve accolades for sure. Please give Ariel and Megan a big thank you and let them know they made our experience a exceptional one. I admit that my expectations were low for "sports bar" food, but the grilled pork chops were absolutely fantastic! Flavorful, juicy, and affordably priced. The smashed potatoes and broccoli rocked, too. Servers were friendly and proactive. Never had to wait for drink refills. Mmmmmm! I love the chili here! I'd highly recommend it! But make sure to get all the fixings added to it (cornbread, jalapeños, cheese, sour cream, etc). This places appears to be a typical sports bar but has a great house menu. Great place for quick food or a long night of drinks. read more

I arrived 5 minutes early-my lunch was ready all I had to do was sign the cc recipt. The food was good, warm, and nicelt presented. I was greeted as soon as I entered. A wonderful place to visit during Covid! We ate outside on their patio that was spaced out wonderfully, more than 6ft between tables. They even expanded into their parking lot to add tables with umbrellas. There food was awesome and had a variety to choose from. Highly recommend! read more

Meh. The food is pretty good, but the prices are too high. The soft pretzel appetizer is $7.99 and comes with three 4-inch-long pretzel sticks. Really? There was a cup of beer cheese which was okay, and a cup of that gross fake cheese from a can. The pretzels were good but not $7.99 good. The turkey wrap used slimy lunch meat turkey and not real turkey like everywhere else, for $8.99. The chipotle ranch was way too hot. Nearly everything comes with chips and if you want fries instead it's $2 extra. The food is just not worth the price. I will not return. read more

We eat here about once a week since it has something for everyone. There are healthy food choices if you desire. I like that they offer a spinach salad, much more than just an iceburg lettuce salad. It's not all deep fried bar food as mentioned above. They have a variety of soups as well. I also like the Chipotle Ham sandwich and the Reuben sandwich. The staff does not let you go without a beverage, as any server will stop to refill your drink. My understanding is that they also have a wide variety of beers if you are into more than just the standard Budweiser products. It can be loud, and it is packed when there are sporting events. We like TJ Chumps better than many of the restaurants up by Fairfield Commons. We've never had to wait for a table on a Friday night. read more

The success of the Chump is that the beer is cold and the food is fried. Those are the two secrets that keep the parking lot full. It is Fairborn after all and while the Waffle House is across the street they don't serve beer, cold or otherwise. The restroom was clean and yes that counts too. Just pretty much terrible. I live right around the corner, so I keep giving it a chance because I want so badly for it to be a great place to eat and hang out. But every darn time I go, it is just terrible. First of all, the food. Appetizers, for example, the chips and salsa are thick, almost stale-ish chips from a bag and what I swear is Pace salsa from a jar. Uck. My poor husband ordered a soup that literally had canned chicken in it. I swear! He's not even a picky eater and he could barely finish it. A couple of friends and I tried this new location for happy hour right after it opened. We were disappointed to be told that the food specials didn't kick in until after 6 PM, so you can get drink specials during HH, but no food. I told our server that according to their website, half price pizza was the HH special. She went back to check it out and returned, telling us that they would honor that......the pizza was okay, but we prefer 1/2 price appetizers with happy hour, not after. We tried it and most likely will not return; too bad as it is a great location for all of us. read more

Food is subpar. Brussel sprouts were so burnt they looked like roadkill. When we complained they just offered to add more sauce.

Stopped in after a kids soccer game. I had a hamburger which was very mediocre at best. Seemed to be mostly filler. Child had wings medium, she only ate 4 of 12 because she said they were not good. I tried one, they tasted like they're out of the bag. We won't be returning. We ate on the patio, nice spring day and there was a smell of sewage. The waitress said they get that from the creek next to the restaurant. Last, I mentioned this place to a buddy and he said he would have discouraged us from going there. He used to live in the area. I love this place. The sushi grade salmon sandwich could possibly be the best thing on the menu. The blackberry margaritas are pretty tasty too. Typically you never have to wait to be seated because the place is pretty big. If I'm in the area it's typically because I'm going here. read more

I frequent this place every chance I get. Great wings and the service is usually very good but lately has been hit and miss. We moved to Fairborn from Toledo a few months ago and are pretty particular about our sports bars (classy, I know). We have been here several times and absolutely love it! It really is a great family atmosphere (been here with our nephews, and they said it was "the best food ever"), and also with friends and family for a few drinks. We stayed one night after a few too many and unfortunately did not take into consideration that taxis are not as easy to get a hold of in Fairborn as they are in Toledo. We waited and waited for one to no avail and eventually the manager gave us a ride home. We cannot thank him enough for this exemplary level of customer service! Please note, he absolutely did NOT have to do this, and we know now to plan ahead a little better. Please don't take this review as an invitation to get a ride from your server/manager. This is a great place to grab a bite to eat. The prices are reasonable and the food was really good! I got a burger and it was quite delightful and I will surely be returning. They have a wide selection of food and they have a full bar which is nice. If your looking for a place to just kick back and relax maybe catch a game on the TV and have a cold one accompanied by friendly staff this is a place to go. They screwed up everything we ordered- salad no cheese and wings no ranch. Got the cheese and the ranch. The wings were very greedy without flavor. Super disappointed. Came here Saturday night with my hubby and stepson after visiting my sister in Yellow Springs. I had not been here in forever and we were nervous about eating out right now but we were hungry and decided to try it out and eat outside. They had a bunch of tables set up in the parking lot far apart from each other which was great. It looked like it was getting ready to dump some rain after we ordered and a server came out to help us move inside. They had tables spaced very far apart inside which made us all feel at ease dining in. The service from the very beginning was great. Our server was prompt with everything we needed. Actually a few people waited on us and they were all great, friendly and fast to get anything we needed. On top of that the food was delicious!! I'll definitely be back here soon. This is a nice little place for the family or friends to gather for some decent bar food and a cold beer. Went with my son on a Sat night and only had to wait 5 minutes for a table. The beer selection was on par with an establishment of this type and there were plenty of TVs to watch your favorite games. It was a lot louder than I would expect for having such a small bar area. The food was really good. I got the wings with the Champs Hell Fire sauce and it was very unique, had a horseradish/wasabi taste to them. The pork chop sandwich was large, tasty and filling.
