This is a place of wonderous baked goods. Sausage rolls, cheddar scones, honey buns. All made in what appears to be the first floor of a once grand home (marble slab walkway is the giveaway) set back from the street and with a lovely porch filled with all kinds of kinds. Grown and growing, college students etc. But the quality - that's what we came for. It's amazing, as was the service. read more

This place is amazing. I don't think I would've found it on my own, but I went with a friend who is a regular. Great coffee, incredible pastries, and lots of variety available. Between us we bought beautiful, lemon bars, baguettes, flourless, chocolate cake, a scone. The food was amazing. The service was prompt and friendly. People working there knew all of the ingredients and were extremely helpful. The interior is super cute. There's no place to sit inside, but I suppose you could sit on the porch when the weather is nice. I would highly recommend this bakery. read more

Best cinnamon rolls evah! The people working here are the sh$t

I visited this small town favorite bakery in second time as a work with my boss and co-workers. We ahead to going back to the city always on Sunday morning every time so we a very lucky to stop by at this bakery both of times. You'll smell of the flesh bread or cookies when you get close to the store and I bet you'll be very happy with that and I was! I had a cinnamon roll and baguette sandwich with prosciutto and both was really good but I thought both of them were not wow for me. I'll be much more appreciated if I'm live there to have a good fresh made baking goodies.. but please don't get wrong! I'm still appreciated there business in there and I'll stop by every time I'll visit Tivoli!! read more

Charming and cute spot In Tivoli for coffee and baked goods in an old renovated house. They had a delicious array of scones, sticky buns, lemon bars, cranberry corn muffins, chocolate brioche and baguette filled with chocolate too. Croissants only in the weekend. Place is cash only. We enjoyed our scone and chocolate brioche very much! They were super friendly and had great sense of humors too :) read more

Perfection in all ways. Delicious baked goods, wonderful baker , sweet helpers. A morning delight

If you are looking for honest baked goods, great bread, and perfect coffee, this is the place. The baker Mikee is kind and personable with all of his customers, and the staff are always so welcoming. If I lived in tivoli I would certainly come here for breakfast everyday! Yummmmmm my favorite is the sticky buns and bree sandwiches! read more

Really nice owner and young lady was closing and offered to make us a fresh pot of coffee. The coffee and scones were also delicious.

Really great baked treats- I thought the sticky buns were a real standout, but also loved everything else we tried which was... a lot (danish, kouign amman, lemon bars, sausage roll, ham & brie sandwich on ciabatta, and other things I'm probably forgetting), but my point is that all of them were uniformly delicious. read more

I am obsessed with the baguettes at Tivoli Bread and Baking. I've had baguettes from Balthazar. Baguettes from Tom Cat. They pale into insignificance when compared with biting into a crusty, soft freshly baked baguette from here. I'm not even going to bother reviewing the lemon slices and sticky buns, suffice to say they too are ridiculous. Just go here. That is all. read more

Oh my my my. Chocolate brioche and pain au chocolate together on the same counter. How to choose? I chose ladylike and purchased one, then realized the rest of my group was ordering two at a time so I went back in and got another! Life is too short to deny yourself. My only regret was that I didn't get a taste of the other yummy looking things - cinnamon rolls (seriously adult with no icing), lovely muffins (style points for the tall tins used-french?) and scones. I didn't want to clean them out of stock, so the regulars had nothing left. Aren't I kind? Great place, I wish I had a cute coffee & breakfast bakery like this in my little downtown. Btw, the coffee rocked - and I'm an Illy girl. read more

Oh why oh why did I never go to th is place when I lived down the street on Friendship lane?! This little bakery is easy to miss, several paces back right behind a church in a little town center off of an isolated route in mi-state NY. To top it all off, it has practically no signage either. However, if you know the area, it is worth making a stop here. My boyfriend and I walked in on a Sunday morning at about 10 A.M and ordered 1 salted pretzel, 1 cinnamon roll, and 1 lemon square bar. The server asked us if we wanted a crusty or crustless lemon bar piece, then put it it a biodegradable cardboard to-go container. My boyfriend and I sat outside to eat the pretzel and the bun and oh sweet Beelzebub! The pretzel was still warm, apparently fresh out of the oven: crisp and browned with the dough starting to split on the outside while tender and chewy on the inside. The bun, similarly, was lightly crisped on the exposed parts, and a pillowy cinnamony cloud to bite into or gently tear bits off from. The lemon bar was also supurb, a flaky slightly sweet crust, containing a well-set lemony and not-too-sweet creamy curd filling. I will likely make a point of getting here in the early morning again, next time I am in the area. read more

Excellent place to grab something sweet, savory, and caffeinated. All are baked well - not too big, rich, sugary or heavy.

Delicious baked goods and friendly service! The lemon bar, cinnamon bun and pretzel were all winners.

The bread is seriously amazing. I am just annoyed that they charge $1 more for a loaf at the Rhinebeck Farmer's Market.

I've been a customer for maybe 10 years. I became enamoured with the whole wheat walnut bread when it was baked for a local pub ages ago. It's my favorite cuppa in the area; always hot and bold. The staples: Scones - made with seasonal fruit and a dream. Not dry at all. Perfect. Muffins - also made with seasonal fruit. Cinnamon sticky buns - everyone's favorite Lemon squares - joyful, lemony goodness. flaky crust. large enough to share On weekends there are quiche slices and ham or prosciutto with brie on baguette but get there early! Anyone visiting Tivoli should definitely put this on their "to visit" list. read more

Life is ephemeral. So are places for good eats. The baked goods at this place are amazingly good...the lemon squares and brownies can make you cry but in addition to the chow the vibe, the human warmth reminds me of my maternal grandmother's tiny kitchen in Corona in the 1950's, filled with conversation and laughs while the cacciatore simmered and relatives and neighbors drifted in and out. In fact I am beginning to suspect that Mike the maestro of the place is the reincarnation of her. read more

THIS is the kind of bakery I love. Real, simple delicious goodies that are always great! I'm a big fan of the lemon squares. The first time I tried them, I couldn't believe how tasty and creamy they were. The perfect balance of sweet and tart. They also have AMAZING cranberry scones-mmmm MM! The atmosphere inside is great-very rustic feeling. The staff is always pleasant and efficient. I like sitting on the porch in the summer and watching people go in and out. Definitely stop by if you haven't already! read more

Some of the best baked goods you will ever come across, ever. The place itself is awesome- lower part of a big house with white marble walkway, with a great porch always stocked with friendly locals (human and dog) and tiny interior that lets the food speak for itself. Great, charming staff always at work, especially the owner who can obsess about things like making croissants only when the temperature allows for it without becoming a distant, unfriendly worker like so many seem to. Go for the corn muffins- they're one of the more modest selections by appearance, but there is always fresh local fruit buried inside them. The coffee is excellent too, made by a local roaster just for the bakery. There was some mention about hours- the place is usually sold out by noon, so the earlier the better. I'm always there by 8 am before it gets too busy. read more

The lemon squares are superb, as well as the pan au chocolat. The prices are reasonable. I especially love the sandwiches. Arrive early in the day, or it will soon be gone. read more

Wonderful! I have a friend who brings me the best stuff from here. I just wished I lived closer!

This is the best bakery in the world and I should know. I've been to them all. Get all the bread and eat it. Eat all the bread. And get a scone too. read more

Perhaps they have decent baked goods. But their service is pretty bad. Actually, really bad. I called to reserve a loaf of pound cake - they cheerfully accepted my request over the phone - so I spent 20 minutes schlepping over to get it only to lean they sold out of it. They coyly smiled and said "oh sorry." Well, not as sorry as I am as I will be that a**hole who shows up at a dinner party without the pound cake I was supposed to bring. I will not be returning. read more

Occupying the first floor of an old Victorian house, this little bakery is a charming and unexpected treat in the middle of Tivoli. Everything that comes out of the ovens is exceptional, especially croissants, brioches and baguettes. My only criticism is the coffee, which is weak at best. read more

I live about six miles from the place but for some reason it took me 20 years to figure out where they were. I consider these my years lost in the desert searching for paradise. It is all great stuff and the atmosphere...no the people and conversation is small town, first name, genuinely glad to see you. On Fridays they make the best buttered bialys I have ever eaten and I grew up on the South Shore of Long Island where they know a bialy! read more

I can't get enough of this place. On the weekend they do brie and ham on their famous baguettes. I'll sometimes go there twice because one just doesn't cut it. The croissants will melt your sweet panties off. The coffee has got the Zing that keeps you going in the morning. And the sweets, ugh don't get me started. Who says its wrong to have brownies, chocolate chip cookies and lemon cake for breakfast. Ahhhhh who am I kidding I'm going there right now to get breakfast. read more
