When booking, we specifically requested a scissors-only haircut with no clippers/machines, which they agreed to. However, once we arrived, the barber insisted on using the machine anyway despite us saying no. He was very rude, rushed the entire process, and gave my son a terrible haircut. It felt like they only cared about rushing through customers to make quick money rather than providing decent service or caring for young kids. Unprofessional and completely disappointing. I do not recommend this place at all!!!

So I ask the receptionist if they could possibly squeeze me in...she says no, they are completely booked today and tomorrow...no stylist available til next week. Yikes! Now this is where it gets really good: a stylist overhears my plea...he takes me right away and does a great job..then much to my surprise...he insists on not charging me. Once I recovered from the shock...I thanked him and then I insisted that he at least accept a good gratuity! I think this location has a new customer...the drive might just be worth it!

We walked in on a busy Saturday morning and waited 20 minutes for our turn. Inside is very comfortable with leather chairs, premier league soccer on a big screen on, and complimentary non-alcoholic drinks. The decor is modern yet welcoming with all the Boston sports teams pictures on the wall. For kids, they have a fun car shaped barber shop chair and a screen playing kids shows. Felt way less chaotic then going to a kids place like Snip Its. There were several kids there today also getting their hair cut so they definitely have experience. For $25, the price was reasonable and worth every penny for the positive experience we got where no tears were shed. I can also add they did a great job on the dads that were there too. Anyways if your toddler needs a kids haircut, skip the Snip It's and give Top Legend a visit.

Unfortunately, he proceeded to cut my hair significantly shorter than we talked about (I asked for one inch off, they cut about 3 inches off). He also gave me a skin fade when I asked for a 2 on the sides. It was disappointing to have this happen when we talked about expectations in the beginning. More dialogue about expectations may be warranted for future patrons! The one saving grace was that the haircut was a good haircut in that the fade was pretty clean. It just wasn't what I asked for.

I asked the stylist to tame it and we agreed to a spot about 3 inches, plus trim on the sides. I removed my glasses and said "I trust your judgement" which was a mistake. She worked on it and when she was done I put my glasses back on and my beard was less than an inch long. She said when she got to the spot we agreed to she thought it was still too wild so she kept trimming, without asking me. I didn't complain, because the damage was done and I thought it would grow back quickly, but a month later it's still much shorter than I want - and much shorter than we agreed to. If I can't trust a stylist while my glasses are off, I can't go back here.

Always get a good haircut and barbers are friendly always have a few laughs. There are lines which seem to be surprising to some reviewers but it's a busy barber shop because they do a good job so sometimes there is a wait.
