How Zane Frazier talks to his customers when they want to cancel
    Ginnie M.

The husband and wife owners, Zane and Jolee Frazier are poor examples of professional franchisees. Their business ethics are questionable at best. My foot was injured in November during the time I was selected for their new trainer program. I informed Zane of my injury and that my ability to train would be compromised. He agreed to freeze my membership and that I would have no problems coming back. Once it was determined that I had a chronic condition along with a heel spur, I decided that the training program would no longer be a fit. Zane then told me I would need medical proof from a doctor so I texted and emailed the address he provided to "title legal department" (with Zane's name prominently featured) a doctors note and supporting photo to justify my known injury. After sending the message and following up (because nobody from the "title corporate office" had responded to my email after 48 hours) I followed up with Zane and he then told me to talk to his wife Jolene about cancelling. Why waste more time by funneling through another person to get a simple cancellation approved? What they advertise at TBC Arcadia is not what you get at TBC Arcadia. It's more like the Zane Frazier Show and if you don't like the way that sounds, then you can talk to his wife. I came in to cancel my membership and the instructor informed him that I was here. He waited until the class was over to come out and acted like he didn't know why I was there. He sat down, asked again why I was there, I told him "don't act brand new, you know why I'm here" and he said "I'm not about to sit here and be abused by a woman, you can talk to my wife" got up and told me to wait outside or they would call the police. I'm now on a non emergency call with the PHX PD on a Wednesday afternoon to get an officer here to assist in CANCELLING MY GYM MEMBERSHIP that could've been handled with a simple piece of paper being handed over by the business owner but he'd rather file criminal trespassing charges so I can't physically sign the form. This man went out of his way to try and ruin my life because I no longer wished to do business with him... What a piece of work.

If you want encouragement to keep going this is your place. Come once and you will want to keep coming. The workouts teach technique and help you burn many calories. Go at your pace, and get a good sweat. Has great music and sound. Parking lot with many spots around it. Has many amenities like showers, lockers, restrooms, and items you will need for training and boxing like gloves, wraps and appeal. The trainers are great and always push you to your best self while on your training/workout. Try it out! PS, clean!

Harassment and tracking my activities post employment

After nearly a year, I am back to boxing consistently. A relief and a journey. Last year I was invited to teach and train at @titleboxingclub (Arcadia). I was so excited until I realized that my determination to stay in the experience outweighed the ROI. The GM was abusive and r@cist, and I was horrified to find out that the owner had all employees sending their SSI and personal info to a person convicted of fraud, subject to wild temper tantrums OR just not paying workers as they saw fit. I was often told that I didn't smile enough , that I scared customers, and that I was too intimidating. As a boxing coach. Hmm.... I exited when I had enough, but was still harassed and subject to texts by owners and employees alike. However, I've created enough distance to come to terms that staying in the experience for a goal I thought was worth it was ok, and that I'm not responsible for anyone else's abuse of power. I have several other places to embrace the sport I love and I feel safe enough in distance to speak about what I experienced.

To anyone reading this who is even thinking about trying out a boxing gym- Stop reading and sign up for a free class. I have been a member at several different fitness facilities throughout the valley (24 hour fitness, Gold's, Ken-Po, Bally's, The Q, Krav Maga, LA Fitness, Lifetime, etc...) and out of all of them this place has definitely been the most warm, welcoming, educational, fun, and most importantly EFFECTIVE place that I have been a member at. The classes are a great size- on average somewhere between 10-20 people (which is just big enough that you won't feel singled out or intimidated if you're new there, but still small enough that the instructors will still be able to walk by and give you some personal instruction and encouragement as the class goes on). Speaking of the coaches- they are all great- supportive, challenging, inspirational, and fun- without constantly trying to upsell you on packages\merch or having to resort to screaming at you to motivate you. Each has their own style that will become evident after a few classes; but as they say there- the goal of each class is to have fun, get a great workout, and hopefully have you leaving there having learned something (both about yourself, and about boxing). This is not an exercise gym where you just happen to be boxing, it is a boxing gym where you will learn form, technique, endurance, and also get a great workout.

From Pandemic to Purpose Due to the COVID pandemic, my gym like many others had closed down. Being a first responder dealing with the stress of the pandemic, it was easy to feel helpless, fatigued, and defeated. I was in need of a healthy outlet and jogging outside the nearby park was getting monotonous. Though joining a boxing gym was intriguing it was intimidating also. I had research several boxing gyms and stumble upon Title Boxing Club Arcadia. They had a 5:30 AM class and it wasn't too far from my house. There was free complimentary session so I took a chance. After the seven minute warm-up, I thought I was going to pass out. I still had eight 3-minute rounds and then ending with seven minute core workout afterwards. Yikes! I had barely made it through that first class and went home to crash for two hours! After recovering, I felt more confident and had more energy. I had not only learned a skill, but strengthen my spirit, soul, and mind. It's been 18 months since that first class and still attending every chance I get. Zane, who was my first instructor would often tell us that if we conquered the morning, then the day is easy. He was right. My purpose has been renewed and spirit strengthen. My day is easier. I have worked with Zane, Jolee, Jaime, Alex, Rob, and Madi who are all amazing instructors and fun to work with. You won't regret it.

Everyone in life has ambitions. I always wanted to be in tip-top shape; i just never thought it was…read morepossible. Until I moved to Phoenix. Until I met Austin and began to work with him. (I'm still a work in progress...) I've never lifted weights before. But, now I can't hammer it home loud enough for women: weight training will change your body - for the better! Austin, my trainer, showed me that... the proof is easy to see when you stand before the mirror and see muscle definition, when you feel better about your body, when you walk with more confidence, and when your clothes start to fit differently. Not that I was ever overweight. I was just carrying around a little extra insulation. And let's face it, you don't really need that in Phoenix. So, I started training with Austin in Feb of 2007 and I haven't stopped. At Peak Performance, he challenges me. He devises the workouts and is happy to explain technique, the body's response, health, nutrition, the in's and out's of setting up different routines, the importance of stability, how to strength train, how to balance cardio with yoga... I can't even begin to explain how much I've learned. Nor did I ever believe I'd love working out with a trainer like I do. He knows his stuff and he seems to truly care about his clients. He likes to understand what motivates you so he can work with your best qualities. Even better, he wants you to learn, so that you can workout on your own and continue to see results. For me, I'm an ex-athlete (will always be an athlete at heart) and he knows this. That's why he likes to mix up the routine and throw in some stability things, to improve my balance and let me escalate to more challenging workouts that top-notch athletes do to stay fit and on top of their game. I love it! The gym itself offers a full range of equipment - plenty to go through an hour's workout and "feel the burn." There's enough that you'll never have to do the same ol' routine twice, if you didn't want to. But, you're not there on your own. That's what's so great. You're there with a trainer who knows the equipment, knows your goals, knows what motivates you, knows how to craft a routine that'll help you make progress (whether it's to burn fat, gain strength, work towards something realistic). I really like this gym. The location is in the LGO area - kind of easy to miss, if you don't know what you're looking for, but there's a small marquee that says "Peak Performance Personal Training" before the entrance on the West side of 40th street JUST PASSED Campbell. Why not give it a try? If you do, make an appointment with Austin. You won't be disappointed.

I had just gotten certified at my old gym in Madison, WI - the Monkey Bar Gymnasium - as a 'Natural Trainer', so I set out looking for a place where I might fit in. After talking to all the major gyms, as well as a handful of smaller ones, the guys at Peak Performance Personal Training were the ONLY guys I felt comfortable working with. They - Tony and Dan - work out of a smallish studio / gym in Arcadia, and to make a long story short - they're awesome. They're real, they're fun, and they'll make sure that you accomplish any goal you set out to. The studio is comfy, the music doesn't get beamed in on a satellite, and there's a park across the street that they like to use for workouts. They'll work around your schedule, and they'll help you look and feel great. I still plan on working with them in the future, but I'm a little too busy to do so at the moment... however I'm not too busy to recommend them - and I recommend them highly.
