I had been wanting to visit this museum since I was a kid, I'm so glad I finally got the chance to see it! The collection here is so impressive and everything is very well documented and informative. I loved seeing the dinner menus. The displays that try to give some perspective to the size of the ship and iceberg were also very interesting.

I enjoyed the cool storied told for the passengers. The place is put together nicely the one thing I hated, was it's an audio tour (which is great) but they cram folks through in waves at the same time. Several families with kids who were basically feral ruined any pictures I tried to take, played on items we wanted to see and just soured the experience. ( I have a kid, I like kids... Thier parents suck.) would go back but it's fun to do once! .

If you love history, or even just titanic history, you're going to love this place! There is an incredible amount of history and pieces from history in this museum. Some real artifacts from the Titanic and people who survived. The staircase is beautiful and the whole layout is nice. I have 4 stars this time because a couple things disappointed me. 1. I only had 1 single worker talk to me or the people around us. He was eccentric and gave more conjecture than facts, but nonetheless, he gave us information. Which is more than I can say for anyone else. There was one other man who helped my daughter take a photo, but I was underwhelmed with the lack of help. Typically, the workers will be around to answer questions or just give you random facts that are not on the walls or in the room. Really enhanced the experience. Not this time. Even so! I do recommend this place and think it's a lot of fun.

We had an absolutely wonderful time. Spent a couple hours here. Loved the interactive aspects of it. Staff was very friendly! Great for all ages. Did u know the Titanic was discovered while looking for nuclear submarines 73 years later?! The Titanic was a British luxury passenger ship that sank in the North Atlantic Ocean on April 15, 1912, during its maiden voyage from Southampton, England to New York. After striking an iceberg, it sank in less than 3 hours. More than 1,500 of the 2,240 passengers perished. The wreck of the Titanic was discovered on September 1, 1985 during an American-French expedition led by oceanographer Robert Ballard and French oceanographer Jean-Louis Michel. The discovery was the result of a secret US Navy mission to find the wreckage of two nuclear submarines, the USS Thresher and the USS Scorpion to keep them out of the Soviet Unions hands. The USS Thresher sank in 1963, killing all 129 people on board. The Scorpion was believed to have sunk on May 27, 1968. Ballard and Michel used robotic submersibles to search for the submarines' debris trails. They found the submarines imploded from the pressure at depth. They then used the same technique to search for the Titanic's debris trail. On September 1, 1985, they sighted a boiler and the hull of the Titanic. The mission was kept secret for years, leading many to believe the discovery was a scientific endeavor. The Navy was nervous about the publicity, but people were so focused on the Titanic that they didn't connect the dots. Ballard didn't reveal the true nature of the mission until 2008, when he spoke to National Geographic.

Had a wonderful time here!! Even did the viral Titanic challenge (I lasted 36 seconds)! Was very impressed with all of the different displays! I personally purchased tickets from Groupon which I suggest as they are pricey! This is a very popular museum so I suggest looking at popular times since it is always annoying when ppl are standing six inches apart trying to read the same displays.

We had a great time. Getting to follow our passenger through the titanic was a sobering experience.

This is an amazing museum inside and out and is worth the price of admission. I love the museum's exterior. It is a realistic replica of the ill-fated ship in an iceberg field. A feature that I really love and that is easily missed is the water fountains shooting up against the lower part of the keel, giving the illusion that ship is moving through the water. The museum does a great job putting its visitors back in the time of the Titanic's sinking, I really felt I was there, minus my cell phone and all of the other people. You have to purchase timed tickets to visit the museum. I was able to find a goal deal on tickets on Groupon. The museum has a decent sized parking lot available for visitors. The staff there was very friendly and helpful. Everyone gets an audio device that can be used to help you with your tour and a card with the name and brief bio of one of the passengers that were on board the titanic. You can see if your person survives at the end of the tour. The audio device is easy to use. You just type in the number that corresponds with the image or exhibit you are looking at. Photos are not allowed of the first level of the museum due to what they call "copyright laws". The museum has one of the largest collection of Titanic artifacts, in addition to some interactive exhibits. Some of the exhibits that you will see include being able to touch an actual iceberg, a replica model of the Titanic, a deck chair from the ship, a replica 3rd class cabin, a replica life boat, a replica grand stairwell, a tribute to jewish passengers, a comparison as to how far the Titanic wreckage is and a tribute to children passengers. Some of my favorite exbhits were the room that was kept as the temperature on the deck of the Titanic the night of it hitting the iceberg, the sloping deck exhibit, and the interactive exhibit that allows you to see how long you could keep your hand in water that was the same temperature of the water the Titanic was in when it hit the iceberg. You will find a couple of movies, with seating areas, playing on the second floor of the museum. The first one shows the construction of the Titanic. The other features exploration of the wreckage. Fun fact: in about a hundred years, there will be no wreckage left, just an orange spot at the bottom of the see, due to corrosion and deterioration. Pretty much at the end of the tour, you will have the opportunity to take a souvenir photo that you can purchase later in the gift shop. The next room lists all of the passengers that survived the accident, divided by the class of cabin they were in. The room beyond that displays what life boat each survivor was on. There is also a tribute to the youngest and las living survivor of the tragedy, Millvina Dean, who was just 9 weeks old when the Titanic was sunk. You end your tour in......yep, you guessed it, the gift shop. This is where you can purchase the souvenir photos that you took near the end of the tour. They also have toys, magnets, shirts, shot glasses, books, stuffed animals, drinks, snacks and other novelties. I really enjoyed my visit to this museum. It is very well put together and is as entertaining as it is educational. This museum is fun for all ages and makes a great family outing. My 4-year old loved walking around with his audio device, dialing up sections of the audio tour. I highly recommend checking this museum out whether you are a history buff or not. You will not be disappointed.

The Titanic Museum is always worth the stop while in Branson, MO! It is full of historical facts about her voyage that ended in tragedy, and it brings each of her passengers to life every day for the guests that come to learn their stories. The staff are fun to interact with as they dress in period garb. We had forgotten to get tickets prior to arrival, but the process was quick and easy. The ticket clerk helped us save by selecting the correct "bundle." There weren't many staff throughout the walk giving additional tidbits of information. One gentleman did seem to love his job and providing fun facts, however they seemed to be filled with his personal hopeful opinion and not verified facts. Never the less he was the only staff doing so. He did eerily show up at random and disappear into the shrubbery like Homer Simpson.

Ask the Community - Titanic Museum Attraction

    Do they allow pictures-video inside?

We were able to take pics in parts of it, like the Grand Staircase. It seems like there were some restrictions but also some areas where it was ok. We ended up with some good ones,

    Wheel chair friendly?

Yes, they have an elevator and the halls are very wide.

How is this different from the one in TN?

How long does it take to go through the museum?

You can thoroughly go through the museum in 2 hours. Taking time to be with the exhibits. This is a world class must see museum. You won't be disappointed.

And so it goes. While some exhibits are exhaustively detailed, others--particularly the animals--have cursory descriptions. A beautiful exhibit of hundreds of mounted birds includes only the name of each, with some names so jumbled together it's confusing which bird is which. The animal descriptions are lightly proofread Encarta notes--a digital encyclopedia discontinued before 2010.
