This place is fantastic! If you are in the military, a veteran, or just someone who appreciates military history, this is a must stop. But I should say it is not really for young children. This is what I call a reader's museum. Sure there are plenty of artifacts, memorabilia, uniforms, and weapons on display, but the real payoff is reading the stories of all the GI Joe's and Jane's that make the conflicts come alive in a really personal way. Probably the most overwhelming part of the display are the listings of KIA's from all the major conflicts. The WW II listing fills the center concourse. I did not reach for the conveniently placed tissue box, but a part of me was definitely weeping for the price paid by all these heroes. As museums go, this one is a real bargain, $22.50 for adults, and appropriately $17.76 for vets. It may not be your first Branson stop as it was for me, but if you are into military history, don't leave the area without stopping by!

Large sculpture honoring World War 2 soldiers We did not enter the museum but we stopped to admire the life-size sculpture depicting 50 bronze WWII-era soldiers from the Battle of Normandy titled "Storming the Beach". The sculpture is located in front of the museum and it caught our eye as we were driving down the Hwy 76 Strip (East). Each soldier was sculpted from real life pictures that represented soldiers from each state. [Senator] Bob Dole represented Kansas. The statue is a commemoration of the Western Allies of World War II launching what's been called the largest amphibious invasion in history on the beaches of Normandy in France on June 6, 1944. Also in the parking lot is a real Huey from the Vietnam area and also a "P-51D Mustang." We have members of the military in my immediate family and this was a pretty cool and truly a poignant sight to see. Review #1933

We were on our honeymoon ND visited by the Veterns Memorial Museum. It is a must see when in Branson. Very well displayed and personalized. Enjoyed our visit immensely.

Cargo casket used to transport the fallen, POW flag, empty table place.

We were looking for something to do and kill time. Husband pulls the car and decides were going inside. The museum mostly has military uniforms inside. I personally love POW/MIA mainly the logo, so when I saw the pictures display of an open table place for POW/MIA ( Prisoner of War/Missing in Action) I felt I needed to take a picture. In the background was a cargo casket. So poignant. I did purchase a small POW flag as I left. Thank you veterans for your sacrifice.

I highly recommend you stop by and check out this place. So much information to see and read about the wars. They open 9 to 5. Need to stop in and the your time to read . Thank you to everyone who served. God Bless.

Sacrifice goes beyond the soldier putting himself in harm's way to maintain our freedom.

The museum is named after a Missouri radio and TV pioneer who operated out of nearby Springfield. So, there's a room dedicated to Ralph Foster and his broadcast achievements. Adjacent is a room covering his most popular Grand Ol' Opry style show and the country music stars who visited it. The TV Clampett's 1921 Oldsmobile truck from the Beverly Hillbillies has central placement on the first floor; the series creator was from the area. Famous Missourian and artist Thomas Hart Benton has an exhibit space of his landscapes. The second floor largely contains guns and taxidermic works of animals from around the world--both donated collections. Famed entertainer Andy Williams has a small exhibit of his Christmas sweaters due to his long-time residency in Branson. There's also space devoted to the history of College of the Ozarks. And so it goes. While some exhibits are exhaustively detailed, others--particularly the animals--have cursory descriptions. A beautiful exhibit of hundreds of mounted birds includes only the name of each, with some names so jumbled together it's confusing which bird is which. The animal descriptions are lightly proofread Encarta notes--a digital encyclopedia discontinued before 2010. The museum, however, offers a good diversion and you can easily spend a couple of hours here. It's well worth the low light entry expense, which will particularly appeal to families and seniors.

This museum has it all, including the Beverly…read moreHillbillies car, thousands of amazing old artifacts from the Ozarks and around the world (some from Biblical times), the biggest collection of weapons I've ever seen, incredible animal exhibits, and many other items. The staff were also wonderful: they are college students who work during the summer to pay for their room and board. During the school year, students work 15 hours per week to pay their tuition, so it's called Hard Work U. It's a must-see place; you won't be disappointed.

Engine, inside, outside looked nice but the engine was shot. They wouldn't let me test drive it off the premises so I couldn't tell much just driving it in the parking lot. It was running badly but like a lot of classic cars I thought it was cold and needed to warm up. I got it home and it was still running badly. I called them back and I got the message machine. I never heard from them again. I had the carburetor adjusted, didn't help. I put new plugs and wires, (tune up) didn't help. I changed the distributer. didn't help. Checked the compression, THERE IT WAS. No compression on every cylinder. I called again, no answer, left a message. Never heard from them again. Out enjoying the money I just gave them I guess! I'm rebuilding the motor now. It's been a little over a year since the parts are hard to find for a Buick 340. Again, BE CAREFUL AND CHECK EVERYTHING. THEY ARE UNTRUSTWORTHY!
