My 13 year old loved this place. I thought the bone carvings were really cool. The tunnel damn near made me want to throw up. Good thing is you can bypass the queasy stuff and still enjoy it. The staff were nice and helpful. Plenty of cool photo opportunities. Gift shop available at the end. It's bright colorful and for sure keeps the kiddos attention. The outside of this place has changed a lot with different colors and stuff but the design is awesome also you have transformers welcoming you . Now the inside of this place is definitely spaced out and has good AC . It does feel a lil empty and not very busy all the time . The staff here are nice and will help you out . This was my 1st time coming to a Ripley's Believe It or Not and I must say everything here is so cool. I admire the outside displays and it feels like you're getting a sneak peek of what's to come on the inside. The museum is pretty big and I find it educational to read the history behind the artifacts. You can spend maybe 2 hours here if you're taking your time and looking at each display. Some of the displays you can interact with which I found fun. The customer service is great and at the end is a neat souvenir shop to bring home some merchandise. read more

Not as amazing as I remember it being as a kid. Definitely shorter than I remember it. First off we tried to buy tickets online for a discount @ $33 total for 2 adult tickets. The site froze up, so we figured we'd buy inside. Bad move. It was $45 total. When I told the cashier we tried and couldn't buy online, she said she could've given us the discount if we had mentioned it before he inserted his card. I didn't press the issue, but really? So you're telling me you can't just cancel this authorization and re ring it? Come on! Wouldn't have been worth is @ $33, and certainly wasn't at $45. Do yourself a favor and skip this place. Also, we lost a dollar in the target shooting game. Couldn't find an employee to get them to fix it and didn't feel like dealing with it at the end. A fun outing with family. I do recommend buying tickets online because you can save big time! If you have been to one Ripley's they all are basically the same they have a lot of strange things and interactive exhibits which challenge you mind to think of the odd, however this one is a little more interesting on the unique items they have within their art. They also have an upstairs shooting gallery set up like the wild west which displays some of the interesting facts of some of the oddities. The most interesting thing was the very end (I won't spoil it for you and tell you what it is). A lot of the displays were primarily pictures of the weird and unexplained. We enjoyed the hour spent and the price point was what we expected for what we got. The kids enjoyed all the hands on displays. This was our first experience with Ridleys and I hope the other locations have more pizazz than the Branson location. We visited right after playing a couple of rounds of putt putt. Personally, I was not a huge fan of this museum. As a child I could see this place being super wild, but as an adult there was no "wow" factor. They said they update the museum constantly, but it seemed very outdated to me. There were a few hands on things to explore, but most of the museum was made up of posters to read about and random items to look at. As an adult, I felt desensitized by the "believe it or not!" motto because I see weird and "shocking" things on the internet every day. read more

In these days of the Internet and interactive consoles at almost every display, in any other museum, the "Ripley's" odditorium is extremely dated. Everything (and that's a lot) has placards that require you to read about everything displayed. Children will be amazed and awestruck at the odd displays, but may lose interest very quickly, from the lack of computerized interactions. The unique building is built to look earthquake damaged, recalling the 1812 New Madrid, Missouri earthquake, this made the Mississippi River run backward for three days. The exterior appears cracked and unstable. Inside, the decor has the appearance of exposed and broken water pipes, complete with flowing water. Inside the museum and odditorium, there's an immense collection of exhibits and artifacts, as well as bizarre pieces of art, including a Roman Coliseum replica made of playing cards, and an aircraft carrier model made of (around 48,000) matchsticks. There are over 400 artifacts, oddities, world records, illusions, works of art, a full size stagecoach made from 1.5 million toothpicks, a pair of horses made from welded horseshoes. You'll see the largest ball of yarn (the size of a VW Beetle), wax figure of the World's Tallest Man (average size people come to his waist and he can hold 3 dozen loose eggs in one hand). There are replicas of people ranging from, a man with a candle in a hole in his head, man with a horn growing from his head, man with two sets of pupils and irises in each eye. Price for tickets are rather high for such basic entertainment, averaging around $23.00 for an adult. Expect to spend anywhere from a couple hours to 4 or more, depending on how dedicated you are to seeing it all, and how much you read. read more

I'm going to give this place 5 stars. We went on a Monday afternoon so very little was there and the staff was friendly. We spent a lot of time here! It's sad because 2 families had came in like 20 mins after we did and both had passed us! They did not even take the time to read and look at anything! If you walk though this place in 15-30 mins, there is a problem! There is sooo much to learn and see and take pictures of! We had a party of 4. My parents, my husband and i and we had a blast laughing ( in the second room with the games ) and looking at everything! We had bought our tickets online and got a great deal Museum/ Ferris Wheel. Ripley's Believe It Or Not! Odditorium was not bad and we came here to waste some time before lunch as well as the show we were waiting for. The parking lot had a lot of spaces and it wasn't that busy when we came here. We followed the pathway inside where there were a lot of exhibits with a description for each exhibit. A lot of the things were pretty interesting to me. I took a few pictures of some things I thought was interesting. There were two floors to walk through which could take a bunch of time up and did. There was even a mini-theater where you could watch the Ripley's show that Dean Cain hosted a long time ago. The gift shop was small but also had food as well. I am a huge fan of Ripley's, from the TV show to the books. I make my boyfriend read them out loud! So when he requested we stop in Branson on a recent road trip and I found out there was a Ripley's museum I made it a required visit. The only other Ripley's I've made it to is the one at Wisconsin Dells and I was pleased to see this one features different videos and displays. I especially liked the items related to the local area such as the folk art and the carpet bags. It's a little more expensive than the one at the Dells, $16, and I wish it was more like $12. Not sure why $4 makes a difference to me, but it does. It would make a good rainy day activity. read more

For what you get the price is reasonable. We were here for around a hour for 35 bucks for online tickets we bought In the parking lot. I reccomend buying online, it's cheaper and you just scan your tickets when you walk in. You get offered pictures to buy, we didn't get any since they were 10 dollars. However the gift shop was reasonably priced for the apparel and some take home gifts. A must go if you visit branson. read more

My least favorite Ripley's that I've been to. We went through this fairly quickly. Others that we have been to have more glass cases of smaller oddities with info plaques. This one felt like less. They do have big sculptures that were cool, but not as in-depth as a small piece of history. I was also kind of upset by how quickly we went through it, considering how much we paid for it. Seemed overpriced for the experience. I would probably skip out on this, unless you've never visited a Ripleys. read more
