Using what looked like a computer and a key cutting machine, quickly made me a key that worked perfectly.

The employee was very courteous and offered a good price for cutting a car key. It was fun watching him work his craft on each of the machines. Bilco also has a great selection of locks, key chains, security equipment, etc. if that is something you are interested in. Parking is a little weird, but workable. Just take a right at the "Karate" dojo and drive straight past the fence. Bilcos shares a parking lot with another business. (So the story. My car key had broken pretty much in half so I had ordered a new one, only to find that the metal key part could not be replaced. I placed the circuit in the new key and tried starting the car with the metal part of the old key, and the car wouldn't start! Apparently the ignition uses a magnetic field to detect the presence of the circuit. If it isn't detected, the fuel line in the fuel pump is cut.)

I highly recommend Gary from Bob's Lock, Safe, and Key!…read more Gary showed up promptly on the morning after Christmas to help me get into my new-to-me truck after the battery had been completely drained (my fault) and my sole key wouldn't turn the driver's door manual lock. Gary diagnosed the issue quickly, cut a new sturdy metal key to force the lock open (as a temporary workaround), thereby protecting my only key from potential damage, and he coordinated with their shop to order a replacement lock, the permanent fix for a known issue with my make & model, which I can have installed at their shop in a few days. Gary also jumped/charged my vehicle's battery for 10 minutes so it had enough power for him to program two new fob keys, at a very reasonable price, and he counseled me regarding how long it would take to fully charge my battery, both via highway driving and by A/C charger. Gary was courteous and professional throughout the entire process, and he answered all my questions in a friendly and knowledgeable manner, with bonus techno background music playing from his van throughout! Gary transformed a bad morning into temporary fix PLUS positive steps toward a permanent solution which will protect me from future lockouts!
