Luckily, I had my tablet and was able to search for a locksmith and I am VERY grateful that it was Salt Lake Jake's that came up. I was able to email him, and he actually emailed back in less than an hour, understood that was my only communication, and let me know his timetable of arrival. Once he arrived, he was very reassuring, as I am a mobile, but physically disabled person, and explained everything he was going to do. Including extracting the broken end of my key and creating a new one from the broken pieces. He then went beyond and oiled the locks on both my house and garage doors, as they were quite hard to unlock. Especially the garage. It's incredible how easy they unbolt now. Plus, he explained how the narrow part of the key helped weaken it, too. He definitely has a forever customer, now! And I certainly plan on spreading word of mouth!

They told us they'd be there in 15-20 minutes, which sounded fine. Almost 2 hours later, they finally show up. When the locksmith arrived, he was condescending and rude, like we were the problem for needing help in the first place. After waiting that long, the last thing we needed was attitude. Definitely not a company I'd call again or recommend to anyone visiting the area.

At no point before performing the service did the technician disclose the price or obtain my son's informed agreement to a $280 charge. After unlocking the vehicle, the technician informed my son that the charge was $320 and then reduced it to $280. My son ultimately paid the $280 using Apple Pay because he was faced with an unexpected charge after the service had already been completed. This is against the law and also extortion of a minor. The locksmith hung up on me and refused to give his name or email. The call center was not helpful and refused an email as well.
