I bought a used utility camper shell that the previous owner lost its keys. I thought for sure I would have to buy 5 new locks. So I decided to bring my truck to Bilco to see if they could help. The staff there was helpful, attentive and on the ball. With their magic, they were able to figured out that I didn't have to buy 5 new locks, saving me a ton of money. As they inspected the locks, they were able to figure out how the pins in the locks were configured. Using what looked like a computer and a key cutting machine, quickly made me a key that worked perfectly. read more

After calling AAA to give my car a jump or tow, upon inspection the technician informed me that the issue was not battery or alternate, but my car key (long story below). Basically I needed to have a new car key cut. He recommended either Bilco or the Lexus dealership. I am extremely glad that I went to Bilco. The employee was very courteous and offered a good price for cutting a car key. It was fun watching him work his craft on each of the machines. Bilco also has a great selection of locks, key chains, security equipment, etc. if that is something you are interested in. Parking is a little weird, but workable. Just take a right at the "Karate" dojo and drive straight past the fence. Bilcos shares a parking lot with another business. (So the story. My car key had broken pretty much in half so I had ordered a new one, only to find that the metal key part could not be replaced. I placed the circuit in the new key and tried starting the car with the metal part of the old key, and the car wouldn't start! Apparently the ignition uses a magnetic field to detect the presence of the circuit. If it isn't detected, the fuel line in the fuel pump is cut.) read more

Walked in with a bastard key that Ace Hardware tried to cut. The original was .010" thinner than Ace provided. The gentleman took my original key, went right to the correct bank and made me 2 keys that worked perfectly. He says they have the key codes for my original '67 VW bug. When we needed a key cut from a crappy, old copy that was barely functional, they cut us a key that worked perfectly. Better than the old one. They also installed our keypad on our front door. It was a difficult project because our deadbolt and knob where too close together, but they made it work and got us all settled for a fair price. I highly recommend Bilco! I dropped off an old antique coin bank my grandfather made me 20+ years ago. The key had been lost for years. The staff at Bilco were extremely helpful. Keys copied, buy a new lock-set for your door, buy a safe, duplicate keys for a car, get a new remote, sophisticated to simple, these people have it all it seems. Just got a car with only 1 key, go to them for a new one and/or a remote that's WAY cheaper than the dealer.... Best of all, they do it right, fast, and you won't have to go back to get it re-done. The big box stores lead us to believe they are cheaper, but when you buy a lock set, and get a key made for that new lock, you get home to install and it doesn't work, go back to HD or/ Lowe's or Walmart to get it made right, and find our the guy used the wrong blank......he usually works in the garden department, but today he's creating keys...... forget all that grief, just do it once and be happy it's done. Have an good lock on an older house? Get it repaired, it will probably last another 50 years, or find an obscure key that needs duplicating, Bilco are the only guys that will have it, and make it right. read more

Best service!! I called at about 7am and needed to be let back into my car, I locked myself out and I had to be at a wedding as a bridesmaid within a few hours, they sent someone over within 10 minutes and I was back into my car! Very reasonably priced 10/10 recommend!! read more

I lost my keys over a holiday weekend and couldn't find anyone to make a key for me after going to a few different places they told me I needed to Bring my motorcycle and leave it for the day so they can work on it I stop by bilco just because I happen to have my motorcycle and it was really early 10 minutes later maybe even less they had a key cut for me amazing service friendly probably the only place I'll ever go to to get a key made. I called Bilco to see about getting a key pad lock that would be better at securing our office than the standard door. I was really just asking as we are in SLC and I assumed that they would not travel from Orem to SLC without a big surcharge. I was really pleased that Michael McDonald told me that the charge would be the same and there was a technician in the area that day that would be happy to come by and give me a quote. He sent Tyler to my office and Tyler was such a pleasure to work with. He gave me some different options and I selected what I wanted. We scheduled the install and not only was he there on time he was really great to work with. Upon install; I realized that we would need a door bell to notify me that someone was at the door. Tyler immediately informed me that he knew exactly what would work and while he did not have it on the truck he could get it and get it installed. I assumed that would mean another visit....no Tyler left immediately and was back in less than 30 minutes. He had it installed and verified that it was working properly; asked if I was satisfied with his work and had everything back in perfect shape.
