With their magic, they were able to figured out that I didn't have to buy 5 new locks, saving me a ton of money. As they inspected the locks, they were able to figure out how the pins in the locks were configured. Using what looked like a computer and a key cutting machine, quickly made me a key that worked perfectly.

Basically I needed to have a new car key cut. He recommended either Bilco or the Lexus dealership. I am extremely glad that I went to Bilco. The employee was very courteous and offered a good price for cutting a car key. It was fun watching him work his craft on each of the machines. Bilco also has a great selection of locks, key chains, security equipment, etc. if that is something you are interested in. Parking is a little weird, but workable. Just take a right at the "Karate" dojo and drive straight past the fence. Bilcos shares a parking lot with another business. (So the story. My car key had broken pretty much in half so I had ordered a new one, only to find that the metal key part could not be replaced. I placed the circuit in the new key and tried starting the car with the metal part of the old key, and the car wouldn't start! Apparently the ignition uses a magnetic field to detect the presence of the circuit. If it isn't detected, the fuel line in the fuel pump is cut.)

I immediately felt like I could trust him and wouldn't be scammed with a repair as I was concerned with from other locksmith quotes in the area where I live. Gavin fixed my lock in minutes, gave me a reduced price since it was a quick fix and was friendly through the whole process. Highly recommend, but then again who am I? Check out those stars!

They arrived 2 hours later and then it was a total of 5 hours from the time they arrived to the time they "finished" to tell me there was nothing they could do. They took advantage of me. I was stranded with my babies and they knew I was desperate to get it done. The guy that came out was really nice, but I'm just frustrated after all of the wait and stress they couldn't do anything after they reassured me they could AND charged me like 120 for absolutely nothing. I don't like leaving bad reviews but I really do feel taken advantage of and I don't want that to happen to anyone else.

I highly recommend Gary from Bob's Lock, Safe, and Key!…read more Gary showed up promptly on the morning after Christmas to help me get into my new-to-me truck after the battery had been completely drained (my fault) and my sole key wouldn't turn the driver's door manual lock. Gary diagnosed the issue quickly, cut a new sturdy metal key to force the lock open (as a temporary workaround), thereby protecting my only key from potential damage, and he coordinated with their shop to order a replacement lock, the permanent fix for a known issue with my make & model, which I can have installed at their shop in a few days. Gary also jumped/charged my vehicle's battery for 10 minutes so it had enough power for him to program two new fob keys, at a very reasonable price, and he counseled me regarding how long it would take to fully charge my battery, both via highway driving and by A/C charger. Gary was courteous and professional throughout the entire process, and he answered all my questions in a friendly and knowledgeable manner, with bonus techno background music playing from his van throughout! Gary transformed a bad morning into temporary fix PLUS positive steps toward a permanent solution which will protect me from future lockouts! You know that dreaded feeling as the door closes behind you and your mind screams NOOOOO faster…read morethan you can stop the door? And the reason your mind is freaking out is because it knows the door is self-locking and the keys are on the other side. D'oh! Yes, I experienced this recently and Bob (or one of his buddies) came out to save the day. They were incredibly fast to respond and arrive; then in just a few minutes, we were in! I appreciate their speediness. I hope not to find myself in this situation again, but if I do, I know who to call.
