Wow, this place was crowded. This was a place to hang out with friends on a Friday night. I like that they are open till midnight!!! It does have a night club vibe, but without the dancing. Lol. They have one kiosk and one cashier. Probably have 3-5 people in the back making drinks. They have a pickup area for online/mobile orders. I tried the Melon Rouge - Organic Oolong Tea infused with Strawberry, Melon, and Lychee. Paired with Crystal Agar Pearls and Aloe Vera. It was a tasty and refreshing! Every time I go here I always get the pink volcano. I try asking for it to get blended all the way but they wouldn't, it would be a thin consistency with little ice chunks inside. My favorite is blush but I tried the matcha vibe today and it's very similar to Omomo! I absolutely loved it. Drink was $$ pricy tho - it was $8.24 including tax. Service is always good! Came for the grand opening and I previously came during their soft opening. I'd previously been to their south location but it had been awhile. When I saw this location opened up and they were doing a 50% off during their soft and grand opening, I decided I needed to give it another try. It's located in a smallish strip mall, along with a Cajun seafood place. Parking wasn't an issue and I think they had a few dedicated spots right in front. They have two kiosks, right by the door, where you can order and pay. With the great discount, I was expecting a line. While there were people inside, no lines. I hope they are getting enough business and are around for a bit/ Their menu with drink descriptions and top drinks is posted on large screens/TVs on the wall. I ended up ordering 4 drinks during their soft opening, but since it was 50% off, I was basically paying for 2. Haha. A lot of their drinks include toppings, which is nice, as you don't have to pay extra for them. I got the Pink Volcano, RPM, Life's a Peach, and Melon Rouge. The latter three of fruit teas, so I was able to customize the ice and sugar levels. The pink volcano is a blended drink, so not customize-able, and no toppings included. I didn't think I would like it that much but was pleasantly surprised. It was a good amount of sweet and had a decent amount of strawberry flavor. Very refreshing. I think I thought it was milk tea, but it's more like a blended smoothie type drink. The fruit teas were yummy - not super distinguishable between all of them. Semi sweet, based on my pick of sweetness level and great if you want a fruit tea. For the grand opening, I only got two drinks this time - the ghost dragon and two to mango. These were slightly better than my first time here. The mango drink actually had a great distinct mango flavor. I like the pea tea in the ghost dragon - two different colored layered liquids. Haha. I don't go to San Jose often, but when I do, I always look for the next boba joint. This is actually my second time here since it's close to Lake Cunningham. The plaza tends to get really busy on the weekends, so ordering ahead is highly recommended. The last time, I ordered the blush and that was delicious. This time I wanted to try something different so I ordered the Luv U Berry Matcha and hubby ordered the Jade. I'm loving their names. This place is always lively, busy and packed. In short, Pekoe and Tisane formulated after some tea / drama, which is why the menus and vibes are fairly similar. Overall, I prefer Pekoe more than Tisane based on taste and ambience, but this is based off of my visit to Pekoe in 2019 vs Tisane in 2023. I tried the Green Panda which is a mung bean drink. The drink itself is decent, but the boba is a bit too mushy for my liking. Also, the vibes here are not the same - they still have the aesthetic nightlife / clubbing table seating, but they did not play EDM music which is part of the essence of the Pekoe / Tisane boba places. While prices are in line with a lot of boba shops, this place did not really hit the spot unfortunately. read more

Fast service but then again I went in a Monday around 12:30pm and lots of items to choose from. Prices are on par with other tea houses. They have some pre named combo drinks but you can make your own too no has the dew Barrymore with honeydew and green tea. The boba was crystal and went ok with it. You can choose to have a different boba tho. Parking was plentiful however if you come late at night it's packed and there are so many young folks there hanging out and chatting. I come here pretty often because my sister likes it but I was super annoyed of my visit today when I came right at opening. The customer service has gone done significantly because all of the employees all seemed like they didn't want to be there. The cashier was professional but not friendly at all- no big deal I hated working in customer service back then too so I get it. 10+ minutes pass and the store is getting filled with customers but nobody's drinks have been called out yet which is weird. Customers are asking the cashier how long but the worker just shrugs it off and keeps saying "5 min" when clearly it's not. I was the first customer and my drinks finally came out after 20 minutes of waiting. The workers should have at least addressed the long wait since everyone in the store was getting impatient. I will probably never come back right at opening because of how unprepared they were today. Drinks were fine my sister enjoyed her Gram Brulee, even though the graham cracker makes the drink get thick once it gets soggy. My Snow White was good too, I got 75% sweet which was still too sweet. There are three tables inside. This is my third time going here. I got an Arknado and my mom got an Arknado with honey boba and 75% sweet. I don't remember the drink I got the first time I went here. I love how Arknado tastes. Ice blended Ube. It's supposed to come with Cinnamon Toast Crunch on top but yesterday, it was graham crackers instead. There was edm music playing inside. Who else missed the absurd heat wave this Labor Day weekend? It was one of those rare times that I wished we actually traveled somewhere since the temps in SJ got into the low 100's. It's September! Sweater season? PSL season?? The leaves should be turning already??? (Multiple question marks warranted) We were bored out of our minds and a quick trip to Home Depot to replace our blown out fuse led to, where do we go now? TISANE. It's hard to turn down an icy boba drink in a heat wave and we did just that. I had a weird Dejavu for a moment and thought I was at Pekoe with the lounge-y seats and club music going on. The pretty tween at the cashier took our order and voila! We had our drinks in minutes: the Pink Volcano for my 3 year old and a Duke of Earl Grey with boba for me. I'm disappointed with my drink. My bad for not making it 25% sweet since the default is too sweet for my liking. The boba isn't as soft as Teaspoon's -- my go to in the South Bay for ease of ordering on their app and consistently soft boba pearls. Maybe Tisane's strength lies in their fruity drinks with the salty cheese foam top? The Pink Volcano was a blend of fresh strawberries with milk and topped with salted creama. My kid got mad every time papa tried to take a sip of her drink. And he's like, she's not gonna finish a 20 oz anyway! Can boba stores make a kid size please? The décor on the inside is super cute ! Seats are very limited as the boba shop is pretty tiny. The restroom was also closed and blocked off so customers could not use it. I ordered the Kiwi to my Heart with Salted Cheese and Lychee Jelly. I was disappointed with my drink as it tasted like bubblegum. I'm not sure if this was because of the heart jellies they put in it. The heart jellies are super cute, but if that's what's causing the flavor to taste like bubblegum, I would definitely remove it from the drink. The drink had such an artificial taste and I ended up drinking a little less than half and throwing the drink away. However, I would say the salted cheese was really good and I enjoyed that. Also, my friends enjoyed their drinks and I'm thinking that maybe I just ordered the wrong one. Since I have a sweet tooth and I'm less into the tea taste. Tisane is one of my favorite milk tea spots. I recommend getting 25% sweetness since it still tastes sweet enough in my opinion. Usually this place can get pretty crowded at night on the weekends, so I recommend ordering beforehand for pickup. They definitely put a good amount of topping in their drinks which I like. My favorite fruit tea here is the RPM. Since it comes with really sweet mango jelly stars, this drink can for sure get ordered with lower sweetness. I like the fruit combination of the red guava, passion fruit and mango for this tea. If you like honeydew, Jade is the drink for you. The basil seeds and lychee make a great topping combo. Sugar Hill reminded me of Gong Cha since it had that classic oolong milk tea taste which I recommend if anyone wants that type of taste. read more

I think Tisane is okay. It's not usually my go-to boba spot, but my mom lives nearby and I would occasionally get a drink here. I decided to come here recently to get a drink. I ordered the Kiwi to my Heart (Organic Green Oolong Tea infused with Kiwi and Strawberry. Paired with strawberry heart jellies) 50% sweet and regular ice. At 50%, the drink was very sweet... it tasted more like 100% sweet. I had to dilute the drink a bit because it tasted like mostly syrup. I'm not a fan of the ambiance of Tisane. It's a tea lounge and is very much like a club. If you like the very dark lighting and loud music, then this is the place for you. read more

I was very excited to try Tisane's new banana matcha, but it didn't live up to my expectation. For almost $8, matcha was pretty bitter and very grainy. The banana cream was also very bitter and left a bad aftertaste. It wasn't creamy and i could still taste banana chunks (some might like it, but in my case the banana chunk was not sweet either and left a bitter aftertaste). The place itself sits at the corner of a plaza, so parking can get a little crowded especially on Friday and Saturday nights. They're always playing good music and the seating and lighting is good to just have a chill spot with friends while enjoying boba. It can get busy as there was a line outside but quickens up. I got the GTA which is basically just green Thai tea that has some cream foam on top. My friends got the sugar hill tea and Barney+fruits. Ordered on their website and I kid you not, I received a text message saying my order was placed and about 1 minute after another text message said it was ready. Super fast! My order: -TWO TO MANGO: Jasmine tea with mango purée subbed the mango stars for basil seeds. I could definitely taste the mango, but the no hint of tea flavor. I felt that 50% sweetness seemed closer to 75% sweetness (but this is all subjective!) -MELON ROUGE: Jasmine tea with strawberry, lychee, melon flavor. It comes with both crystal agar pearls and aloe vera but I subbed it out for rambutan pieces (never seen this as a boba topping!) Similar to the mango drink, I thought it was too sweet at 50% and I also did not taste much of the Jasmine. Rambutan added a nice crunch, tastier than lychee pieces in my opinion. -MATCHA VIBE: Per my friend's recommendation, it's a spruced up matcha latte with some dark matcha swirls on the side of the cup. It also has a cream topping, not listed in the description though. It's a good creamy drink, but I think if they upped the matcha it would be even better. Sugar level cannot be adjusted, but it was fine for me. Reminiscent of Omomo's drink in OC! Came here on a Wednesday right after they opened. There was no one else there, so service was extremely quick! I barely waited at all for my drink. It's located in a shopping center with a Safeway, In n Out, and other small shops, so there is a large parking lot. I imagine it might get crowded later in the day and on the weekends. Inside has a few tables with couches surrounding each of them. The set up like a club. If you've been to Pekoe, Tisane looks very similar. The menu offers drinks with set flavor combos paired with toppings. If you want to add more toppings, you can. I like that they offer some more unique flavors like pandan. I ordered the Two to Mango with 25% sweetness and 0% ice. I was a big fan! I would recommend for fruit teas. I would definitely stick to 0% or 25% sweetness because any more would be too sweet for me. I think I like it better than the drinks I've tried at Pekoe. Overall the shop is very small and an odd shape. The ordering and pick up area are really close to each other. There's not enough space for people waiting for their drinks to stand. You will need to sit down at a communal sofa to wait for your drinks. You get a buzzer so you know when your drinks are ready to be picked up. I made my way to the pick up area but the employee didn't wait too long before going into the back. I noticed that other people waiting for their drinks waited in front of the pick up area, blocking other people trying to pick up their orders as well. My drinks were sitting on the counter for a while before I was able to get them in exchange for my buzzer. The hallway to get to the seating is narrow and they have a ton of holiday decorations. The decorations are nice but take up space that could make the hallway wider for people to pass. The boba for the Thai tea is the kind that comes in the canned boba drinks. The ambiance inside is dark and it looks like it's basically night time inside which I like the vibes for. They also have plenty of seating and a restroom available should you need it.
