Thai tea was just okay. The drinks are on the pricier side. However location is convenient and there is parking
3.5 rounded up. Tucked away in the corner of a plaza, there's ample parking and it's a convenient spot post workout or meal. Definitely pricey for what it is. Nearly $7 base prices all around, even for a regular milk tea before any additions. The bright side is that milk substitutions are free including oat milk but that's essentially priced in for all customers, even regular milk enjoyers. Decent amount of seating for conversation. Green Milk Tea w/ Boba - boba was solid, great honey coating. They're a bit of a medium size, smaller than typical boba but cooked well nonetheless. Just less surface area to chew. They respect sugar levels well, 25% sugar was accurate and I was able to taste the green tea slightly. I'd say it's a bit watered down though, the floral flavor is not potent.
Good : Fruit Teas here are my favorite. Orange Lemongrass Tea is refreshing. Lots of seating area despite being a smaller venue. Music is good. Bar like setting. Service is nice. They close late so it's great for a late night snack and drink on the go. Improvements: The place does not have that much outlets. Not ideal for studying. Place is a little sketchy though after 9 PM.
After a weekend morning workout session, I wanted something sweet to energize me for the rest of the day. Thankfully, there was a milk tea shop right around the corner from the gym! The shop is cutely decorated and when I walked in, some people were hanging out and enjoying the weekend while someone else had their laptop open and was working away. Nice place to spend an hour or two doing whatever you need to do. Hello Tea had an decent selection of drinks, including teas and espresso items. I opted for the brown sugar bubble milk tea as that has been my go-to drink at most places right now. I also ordered the french fries to try out - what better way to reward my gym session than with some deep fried salty goodness! I ordered at the kiosk and my order came out quickly. I didn't interact much with staff, but they seemed nice enough. Overall, I thought the drink was decent - the boba pearls were not the consistency I like and was a little soft while lacking any flavor besides starchy tapioca. The milk tea itself was also less flavorful than I liked. The fries were okay, but not worth the calories. I may stop by again and try another one of their drinks, but I wouldn't come out of my way as there are plenty of other spots that are more to my liking.

this place does NOT have good matcha AT ALL. if you cannot make matcha do not put it in the menu if you're going to serve milk with no sweetener. those cute faces should not fool you, my friend and i ordered the SAME drink and one was insanely sweet and one had no sweetness at all and was purely milk. i'm upset we wasted our money on drinks like this, we could've just poured a cup of milk. this purely deserves one star.
What I ordered vs what I got. It's like ordering from Temu, when you receive it is a whole different item. Not happy.
Had the Garlic Shrimp over Rice. Garlicky and sweet. Good sized shrimp covered with minced garlic. There were 5 pieces of shrimp in each order. I rolled the shrimp all over the rice to transfer the garlic sauce on to the rice and it made the rice really yummy that you can eat it by itself. This dish reminds me of Oahu's Giovanni's Garlic Shrimp but with less oil. The Strawberry Mango smoothie was good, too. The strawberry flavor is more noticeable flavor than the mango. Staff was nice. Small but clean and cute dining area. Lots of parking space.
Finally tried the tea spot that replaced Fit-Tea (oh how I miss this spot). This location has been opened for years and it's right down the street from me but it never caught my eye enough to try it. Decided to give it a go one night since our interests were piqued from always driving by it. We ordered their Sunset Passion and their Vietnamese Egg Coffee. I personally think the Sunset Passion was pretty yummy, it was basically just passion fruit and butterfly pea tea- can't go wrong with that. I asked for less ice but the cup was filled with a lot of ice, I guess inflation is hitting us all. The Vietnamese Coffee's egg cream did not really have any egg taste to it-there wasn't anything special that made it stand out compared to other egg coffees you can find at places like La Ca Phe. I think what threw me off was I asked a question to the cashier whether he knew if the Ube Brûlée drink was basically just an Ube Milk Tea but he had no idea, you would think the person making the drink would know what it's actually made of, haha. He just said it was mixed with water, okay so Ube powder and water, good thing I didn't order that! Overall, I don't think I would come again as none of the menu items stood out to me but it is a nice spot to grab a boba while you charge your Tesla next door.

Hello Tea Signature 1: Jasmine Tea House mixed served with non-dairy milk. Good tea flavor with creamy texture. Kinda pricey for not having any topping included.
Ordered a strawberry matcha latte with strawberry jelly and it was delicious! Thought I wasn't gonna like it due to me not liking lattes but definitely ordering again. The service was fast and the place is so hangout coded a go to when wanting to have a drink with friends or alone! Loved that they have a variety of payment methods for those who don't carry one or the other.

$9 for a cup that's almost all ice? I finished the tea in just a few sips. If you're going to charge premium prices, at least provide a fair amount of the actual drink. This was really disappointing. Reply: Mr. Borom, thank you for your response. I understand that policies may change with new management, and I respect your decisions. I just wanted to share my experience as a loyal customer. Your staff explained to me that my previous request could no longer be accommodated because Hello Tea has a new owner or new management, and the "no ice" option is no longer allowed under the new policy. I have been a regular customer since 2022. I used to visit almost every day and would usually spend around $30 or more per visit. The previous staff knew me well and would often accommodate my requests because I was a loyal customer. I posted my review to make management aware of this concern because I understand that the staff may not have the authority to change policies. They are simply following the rules given to them. However, when customers order multiple drinks, such as 10 green teas, and request no ice, not being able to accommodate that request may affect customer satisfaction and potentially result in lost sales. I also want to clarify that my concern is not about the quality of Hello Tea. I actually love your place, and I would give your food and location 5 stars. I frequently order your chicken popcorn, gizzard, and waffles, and my friends and I used to spend time there after our gym sessions because we enjoyed the atmosphere. The reason I gave a 1-star rating was not because I dislike Hello Tea, but because I wanted to bring this specific concern to the owner's attention. Many popular tea shops in the Bay Area allow customers to customize their drinks, including no ice options, so I hope Hello Tea can consider reviewing this policy and find a balance that works for both the business and loyal customers. The popcorn chicken gizzard is pretty good. It's crunchy and well seasoned. The reason for the low rating is because the quantity of food for the order is pretty bad. It barely reached the half way point of the box. I didn't expect much but this amount is terrible imo. The orange lemon grass peach tea is pretty good. Hidden Gem Alert!! I was not expecting to come here at all. I went to a sushi place nearby and this boba place was hidden and I was like, "It doesn't hurt to try!" I ordered the Brown Sugar Matcha drink and it was so good!! I did not order any toppings because I wanna try it as is. You can change the sugar and ice percentage of each drink which what I like. I wish I ordered some appetizer but I was too full but will definitely be back to try other stuff and will update this review. They have a very cute aesthetic interior and have a lounge area. Music is very loud which is I don't mind. This place is really a hidden gem and I wish they get recognized more like Happy Lemon! read more

Nice interior design with plenty of spots to take boba shots. I love the orange chairs, adds a nice pop of color to the whole room. I ordered a Strawberry Mango Smoothie with boba. It mainly tastes like strawberry, and hardly has any mango flavor, but still good. I also got a Passion Fruit Jasmine Tea Mixed Fruit with lychee jelly. It has a variety of fruits in there, so it's super refreshing! Then, my mom also tried their Salted Vietnamese Coffee. I've never had this before, but it tastes like what it sounds. The good: Popcorn chicken and milk tea- name a better combo. I tried the Taiwanese style basil popcorn chicken and matcha brown sugar brulee latte at 25% sweetness with less ice. I liked that you could adjust the sweetness and ice level. The drink was delicious and the brûlée cream was creamy, decadent and super tasty. I liked that their menu had a few non-caffeinated drink options as well. The popcorn chicken was fragrant with the smell of five spices and fried basil. The bad: I wish the chicken chunks were slightly larger so it could be less dry. The interesting: I'm guessing this is a Vietnamese-run establishment because they sell a rice paper (banh trang) snack. read more

Cute boba shop that stays open a little later! Got the taro smoothie and avocado smoothie 50% sweet and it was perfect! (Even at 100% I think it would've been okay too, they seem to not make their drinks too sweet which I particularly like!) Drinks are made with actual taro and avocado too!! Not too bad for being a newer kid (boba shop) on the block. It's either a new owner or these guys changed their name because this location wasn't always "Hello Tea" -- I know all my local boba spots. I've had several of their signature milk teas and snacks already -- and have nothing negative to note. The tea they use is really strong which I appreciate. Flavors of the toppings are really distinctive also. The Basil Popcorn Chicken is such an addicting snack. Highly recommended. Seating makes it really easy to get in some laptop time as well. If you do plan on getting some work in, just know there will be music playing in the background. read more

This is a real hidden gem spot! It was kinda tucked away in the plaza but the decor was so welcoming and their menu had so many choices. Their coffees are great and my friend's favorite is the egg cream coffee. She said it was the best she has had in all of SJ. Their smoothies were also good but their piña colada was especially bomb . My friend's strawberry matcha latte looked so pretty and I will have to come back for their brown sugar milk tea. The boba was cooked perfectly and the service was friendly and quick. Came here around 1PM on a Sunday and the line wasn't long. There is a kiosk you can order on, but it wasn't working when I was there so I ordered with the cashier who was super helpful! I got the Strawberry Matcha Latte, and this drink was okay. It didn't really taste like matcha to me and the strawberry was a bit overpowering. However, the popcorn chicken gizzard is delicious here!! So delicious that I forgot to take a photo before I devoured it - I will be coming back for this snack item! The store is pretty small but it has a couple of chairs and tables, and the store is nicely decorated as well. read more

I Always love coming to this bubble tea shop on Capital Expressway. I really enjoy it ever time I'm on this side of town. The place always got lovely musics, pleasant, and a warm welcoming environment. The owner is beautiful, Creative, and awesome! I enjoyed talking to her and she even offer to take some pictures for me! I always enjoy my boba drinks and the Delightful Snacks! IThe Interior Designs and Displays here is always beautiful and Colorful. Lovely Indoor and outdoor seatings. Definitely recommend!!! read more

I was at Target off Coleman and went on Doordash to look for nearby boba. Didn't realized I had to change address for it to locate locations nearby as I thought it would pick up current location automatically. Long story short, I saw this tea bar and it's near home so I placed an order for pickup. Pick up stated about 20 minutes and it was ready within 10 minutes and I arrived a little past 10 minutes. This tea bar used to be another tea bar where there were lots of BTS organized events. It's gone through several ownership and tea bar names. I ordered the following and it was stapled up in a brown paper bag which I don't prefer as it warms the drink up and creates moist which softens the chicken. The box was also closed up instead of partially closed so that the chicken doesn't softened up. I immediately took it out of the bag as soon as I was in my car. 1. Thai Crème brûlée tea w/ boba, 50% sweet regular ice: Crème brûlée is my fav dessert so of course this drink called my name. It's a delish drink! At first I thought it was a little sweet with the boba and the brûlée crean as I was drinking from the bottom of the drink. Once it's mixed up, the drink tasted much better and not as sweet. The brûlée cream is very creamy and thick with a hint of saltiness. I would like better if the brûlée cream was on top to push the straw down as I drink so that it's more like a dessert. Just my preference. :) And, I am not sure if I would be willing to pay almost $10 for a boba drink (Drink is $8.50 plus extra for boba) 2. Popcorn Chicken, extra spicy: The snack came with a sweetened chili sauce container and a small container of chili powder on the side. The chicken batter is very different from others and I can definitely taste the spices. The level of spicy I requested was not that spicy but the side chili powder was good to have to add more in for a kick. The chicken had a slight crunch and not a crispy crunch like other tea bars. Some pieces were thick and some were thin. The thick pieces were moist while the thin pieces were dry. There are some seating and a cute wall for you to take pictures if you like. It seems that they kept the design from the previous tea bar. I would come back and try other drinks and snacks. read more

Not busy at all when we walked in, but it's Chinese NYs and they were preparing orders for pickup, so we waited a little but, the cashier was friendly enough to say, she'll be right w/us as she answered the phone, taking orders as they were coming in via online. This place must've changed the names more then 3Xs since I've been here but, I'm not trip's cause as long as they have Brown Sugar MilkT (YAYYY) looked a little water when I got it, but I guess the flavor remains the same. This is a little ways down from where we live, so if we're near hear & feeling bobaish, we will definitely stop by. read more
