Yet again I have been disappointed by Tires Plus -- now by their so-called "Social Support Team" that asks unhappy reviewers to "reach out" to them to resolve or discuss their issue in further detail. I e-mailed them and at first received a prompt response, then was promised a reply/follow up within 24 hours. Two days passed and still nothing, so I e-mailed them again. I believe it has now been 5 days and I have still heard zero from their customer service team, the area manager, or anyone representing Tires Plus that seems to care to resolve my issues and concerns. Stay far, far away from these people -- you will regret it in the long run. read more

Apparently making an appointment makes no difference at all... I setup a time to get an alignment and when I got to the store they told me appointments only men you might go next. I was then told that it could be hours. When I started questioning why, they told me they are refusing me service and to go away. Unfriendly, unprofessional, and a dirty shop... I have never been treated so badly in my life. I went to Tires plus for an alignment on my 2005 Corvette thats wearing the inside of the front tires. I explained I was an alignment mechanic for 15 years and wanted to see the reading before they adjusted it. They agreed. The camber was negative .5 degrees on both sides which was causing the inside wear. The told me they would adjust the camber. When the car was done I asked to see the printout. The camber was still negative .5 degrees. I told him I was unhappy and didn't want to pay for nothing. I was going to buy a lifetime alignment ($200) but I said they didn't adjust the camber. They actually didn't adjust much of anything. I continued to say I was not going to pay for it and wanted the district managers phone info. He then told me to get the F$%K out of this store and don't come back. Nice. All they do is Toe and go wont do an accurate alignment. And they want you to buy tires. Run the other way! read more

This was where I took my 2015 Nissan Rogue for tires, oil changes and service for the past two years up until August of this year because I moved. I'm an Uber driver full time so I had numerous instances where I had the vehicle serviced here. Each time I took it in for service, a lady named Mercedes and others assured me that they checked all critical fluids etc with each service. Fast forward to November 2019 and my transmission fails. I took it to Nissan of Reno because it was "jerky" and the techs there advised me that the transmission fluid needs to be flushed and replaced every 30,000 miles. My vehicle had 69,500 miles. The tech at Nissan told me that my vehicle had never had its transmission fluid replaced at all, and that this is why the transmission failed and needs to be replaced. So the conclusion is that Tires Plus Techs at this location never checked the transmission fluid, but lied and told me they did repeatedly each time it was serviced. Their lies and negligence cost me $3850 for a new transmission. read more

Left parts off my car only noticed when I opened the hood and Andy the manager was all, oh sorry. Must of been a communication issue. Never fixed the problem but said they did. I first bought tires for my Grand Cherokee when this was a Firestone store. The fair prices and great service evaporated this year. I got a nail in a tire about an inch into the tread area. They said they now consider this the sidewall, they won't repair it, and I must buy new tires. I planned to buy new tires in about six months, so I ignored their coercion and bought new tires. I asked for white letter tires and they put on black tires; I ignored this too but it left me dissatisfied. Then they aligned my Subaru but refused to rotate the tires, saying one was worn. Next visit for an oil change they said I needed all new tires. I went to the Subaru dealer who rotated my tires and said the tread wear is in the green. I won't be returning to this store. - - - - - Since I posted this review, I received a call from the Tires Plus district manager. He asked for a copy of the tire wear report by the Subaru dealer. I emailed a copy of the report, and did not receive a reply. - - - - - I paid off my Tires Plus credit card and shredded it. read more

Best customer service I've ever received from a tire shop. Mercedes (manager) helped my sister and I get new tires since we both blew a flat within a week of each other. It was very laid back and stress free. It did take longer than expected (4 hours!) For 2 new tires and an oil change on my car. Otherwise, a great experience. read more

I went to tires plus for an oil change and when I got in my car i noticed the interior dome light was broken. They put the broken pieces under the seat to hide the evidence of what they did. Who knows what else they broke and did not inform me of. Will never go back and recommend that other customers go somewhere else. The workers here are not trustworthy at all. The "mechanic" that worked on my car was named Rodrigo. Also when I tried to inform the front desk receptionist about this she became aggressive with me and tried telling me it was a different tires plus shop that had damaged my car. read more

I took my car to this place for brakes, mechanic put grease all over the stirring wheel now I have a worn out stirring wheel rude manager said he could do nothing all he did was spray my door panel with chemical. If you don't want to pay hundred times more do not go there. read more

I want to give a good word for this Tires Plus in Reno - our Jeep tires were low and after sitting at the airport in Reno in the cold for 4 days, had a pretty bad wobble - Tires Plus was open on Sunday, we got there about a minute before closing, and they filled our tires in a snowstorm. Not only was it free, but the guy who did it was so nice and positive and friendly, and he wouldn't even take a tip! He said it was his pleasure to help. Makes me want to travel to Reno next time we need tires! Five stars for making our night so much better! read more

I almost always go to Tires Plus when I have car issues. They are super friendly, open late and wait time are 8 times out of 10, reasonable. They can be more expensive or overpriced on some services but I would rather have a good job done right the first time. read more

I had been a regular customer at this location for years and left because of the bad service had gotten on my previous 3 visits. My last visit was in March 2013. 3 weeks ago, I happened to brake down 2 blocks from it and had no choice but to go in again. There is a new Manager and the store looks clean and very organized. They fixed my car within 1 hour and only charged me $20 bucks!! I guess there was a loose wire somewhere. I was so concerned with how much this would cost but the Manager handed me my keys and said "you are good to go!" I will be a returning customer from now on. Thank You!!! read more

Cody and his team deserve capes!! They are superheroes!!! I originally came here to replace a tire that separated on my way into the area. On my way to my appointment to get my tire replaced my engine overheated and I blew a head gasket. Cody was a Godsend, inspecting my car right away and explaining absolutely everything. He was meticulous and kind, and didn't treat me like a dumb-dumb who doesn't know about vehicles. Cody and his team truly bent over backwards for me and I couldn't believe how incredibly wonderful they treated me. When I decided to tow my car home because of how bad my engine was, Cody and his team let me use their phone repeatedly, and even helped me find an open car rental place to get home!!! If anyone every has car problems while in Reno I can't recommend this Tires Plus enough!!! Cody and his team are THE example of incredible customer service. I have never ever been treated so well while needing car help. They turned a nightmarish situation into an endurable one with everything they did. Somehow my account got deleted and my one star review was removed so I need to redo it. This place is run by complete idiots. Came in after work to have new windshield wiper blades put on and the mechanic broke one of my wiper arms. They said it was old and I would have to go to the dealer and pay them for a new one. They accepted no responsibility to cover the cost of a new wiper blade arm mechanism and instead offered me %50 off of an oil change. I should have gotten a lawyer to press them to buy me a new mechanism because my car is an Audi and when the wipers are over $80 the arm mechanisms cost much more. Instead I took them up on the oil change and asked for them to change the filter as well. When they finished I went out to my car and my passenger seat was literally full of coffee-the mechanic had tossed my coffee mug out of the center console and onto the car seat because he wanted to use the center console as an arm rest I guess...? There was no lid on the mug and it was full of fresh coffee. So I just paid for a discounted oil change, and they broke one of my windshield wiper arms and then threw coffee all over my leather seat (there was a pool of it). So I went back in and made the mechanic come out and clean my seats (received a ton of attitude). He felt the need to comment on the smell of my coffee asking if it was 3 days old. I told him that I like my coffee black/strong and that it doesn't matter. Felt like I was on a hidden camera show with how these assholes were conducting themselves. Long story short, they broke more than they fixed. When I got home I checked the oil filter and they just re-used the old one. There are a ton more mechanics to go to just around this area. Avoid this place at all costs. read more

I know that i did not have an appointment. But when I called to see if I can get a balance and rotation, Michael said that I could bring it in and it would take a couple of hours. I dropped it off at 2:30 pm, I go back at 5:00 pm and they haven't even started on the car yet. No phone call or anything. Then he said it would take 45 minutes to do all the balance and rotation from the point at 5:00 pm. The is ridiculous!!!! Coming from someone who has worked at a place like tires plus just a different company, 45 minutes is extremely slow just to balance and rotate tires. EVEN ALL FOUR!!!! Never going back to that location and will be letting everybody I know that even if they go to to a tires plus company, to NOT GO TO THIS ONE!!!! read more

Worst customer service ever!!! I drove 4 hours and specifically told them I wanted just the pads replaced. I told three different employees. Because my rotors were .005 below their specs they wouldn't do the work unless I paid and additional $112 for rotors on top of $300+ for the brakes. The manager told me it was my fault for not asking the right questions. Total rip off DON'T go there!!! They'll get you in then beef up all the charges. read more

Horribly disappointing. Initially I booked an appointment on-line for tires. When I arrived, they didn't carry the advertised tires at the quoted price, but said they would give 'me a deal' on a more expensive set. Duh, of course you will, otherwise it's against the law. Had the tires put on and was told I needed an alignment which was no surprise to me. I went back for the alignment and afterward kept noticing that my car was still pulling to the right. I stopped back in the same day and when I told them that this was a previous problem and it appears it has not been corrected, I got a blank stare. I asked if I could drop it off the next day to be looked at and the guy jumped on that and booked an appointment, and kept assuring me there would be no charge. I dropped off the car, but re-set the "trip miles" and "trip time" (which times how long the car is running) counters when I parked it. I was already feeling skeptical. As a female getting car work done, I already felt I was being patronized and talked down to. After getting rides to and from work, being without a car for the day, I picked up the car and got an elaborate story about a bent axle and tilted tires. I got in the car and noticed the seat hadn't been moved. Turned on the car and looked at the "counters," and the car had not even been started or moved at all. After 4 days of trying to connect with the manager, my husband confronted them on what happened and they quickly conceded to a refund. read more

Made an appointment for 2 PM and arrived 10 minutes early. After an hour of waiting I got my keys and left. At no time did they tell me it was going to take that long just to get to my vehicle. Before I got there they could've called or text me. Once I got there they could've easily explained that they could not get to my vehicle. Horrible customer service. I came in today 08/13/2017 around 1:20 pm and bought 4 tires all season. I had one flat tire only and 2 of my tires were still ok. But the Manager Cris told me I should do all tires. I'm on my way to eat and it's so hot outside when one of my tires got a flat tire. So I came in there o buy a tire and have it installed but what I did not expect is be held up there till 5 pm. I understand being there are many people there trying to have their cars fixed but changing tire for that long and keep me waiting when they don't even know how hungry I am. I literally break down and cried driving away my tummy aching so much and swear I will never come back to this place. They have horrible customer service. I agreed to buy 4 tires so it's easy for them and my being nice was taken advantage. I told Cris to have my tires be back in my car and if I did not inspect they just put my tires to recycling and let me pay $12.00 for still good tires. I have the receipt on it and I specifically said my 3 tires should be put in my car. It's good that I was able to inspect before I go as I trusted them to do as what I requested and nothing happened. That made me mad right there and as I'm so hungry I did not bother to get my money back and I swear they are a rip off. You will never get my business again. I refuse to do business with people that cannot do right for the customer and ripping me off. I am not dumb like that not to see it. I really cried at home in my frustration. It's good I'm able to control myself not to say anything bad to them in person. But it's a very painful experience for me - one I will definitely not forget. read more

I needed new tires for my girlfriend's car, so I shopped around. I called all the big names and happened to find this one in the phone book. I talked to a woman on the phone who checked for me and told me they had them on sale and in stock which everyone else had to special order. I wanted to see what day they could get them installed because there was a 3 day weekend coming up and they asked how soon I could be there. I told them 15 minutes and they said come on down. When I got there, I talked to the manager, Manuel who was helping at the front because they were so busy. I was really surprised when they said they could have it done in less than an hour. Everyone was so busy there but they really took the time to make sure to get you the best deal and even brought out a coloring book for my two year old. These guys were awesome all around and I go there for all of my maintenance work now too! read more

Had an appointment at 12 and showed up at 11:50. It is now 12:30 and am still waiting for my car to even get back there!! Someone who came in after me that didn't even have an appointment got there car back there before me. If I could give 0 stars for this location I would. Not to mention I'm 30 weeks pregnant waiting in their uncomfortable chairs for what will probably be at least another hour. So disappointed, after spending over an hour and half reading their website yesterday, I chose the tires and made the appointment, sounds great right? NO, they waited until I called with a question on why the email confirmation Quote was higher then what I was given online last night, and the fellow says, Oh we don't have 4 of those tires left, sorry.. you can have these for another $30 increase??! Why are you adverstising that there are 4 available is you don't have them:? Isn't that a bait and switch, or just fraud? After complaining about the tactic, he agreed to match the price quoted, but I don't trust them to have HONOR or act with integrity so I will now find another tire store. What waste of time!
