There is a reason the reviews are so bad here. My husband and I just stopped in (after going to 2 Firestone's that were very nice, friendly but too busy to help us) fix a tire that we picked up a nail in. After googling to see who could fix a flat ... we headed Tires Plus. We were happy to see they looked very empty. There were two mechanics we witnessed standing around doing nothing, with one red car in one of the bays not getting worked on (hood not open, not up on a jack, etc). There was a guy at the front desk helping one man try and figure out his problem. The guy said let's go outside and take a look, never even addressing us. We stood there with no one else around till he came back in with the guy he was helping. We jumped in just to ask him if they could fix a flat. He kinda mumble yeah, and then sent one of the mechanics out to take a look. He, in his laziest tone said yeah, as long as there isn't something "around it". We said great, can you do it now. He said it was up to the front desk guy. What???? We walked back in ... the mechanic went back to his "busy standing around position", and the desk guy just kept talking to the guy he had been helping. With all this time now, 20-25 minute, they could have had our tire patched. We stood there another 10 minutes before we decided this was not the place to give our business. They were not busy at all, but the laziness, rudeness, and no care attitude, is enough to know why Firestone was very busy, and Tires Plus was a ghost town. read more

Every single time I go into this shop the service is always amazing. The manager Kenneth Steward as well as the staff has always shown kindness and compassion to their customers. What I love the most is the way that they take the time to explain the service and what it is that they will be doing and if you ask them they will take you to the back and show you exactly what's wrong with the car and what part they need to get you back on the road. I drive clear from Missouri over to this location because of the service and the genuine care that is given. I don't feel like I'm being sold and taken advantage of. My last review got deleted. I brought in my car into this location for oil change in October. About a week later, I went into ups shop. From the window reflection, I saw the engine bay cover wasn't installed back probably and got damaged. I file claim with the corporate office. They replaced it for me after 3 weeks. Fast forward to last week, I brought my car in my dealership, because my windshield washer warning light is on. But I just filled in the whole gallon the night before. And I barely used it. The advisor asked me if I hit something, I said no. After they put the car up for inspection, they saw I have a new engine bay cover. I told them what happened (above story). They said the bay cover damaged the pump cause the crack and leaking. So it is not cover under warranty. I have to pay out of pocket for $130. Contacted BBB for this incident. Corporate (Bridgestone) stand their decision said no evidence support the claim. I had asked what evidence they are looking for. They cannot tell me what specific evidence they needed as I requested. And requested BBB closed this case. what they Stay away this location. Cannot hold the whole company accountable for their mistake. And staff are rude as well. read more

I should have wrote this review a few days ago, but oh my gosh. This place is awesome. It was Sunday afternoon and I was on the highway (husband is of course out of town when this happens). My son noticed tire pressure going down quickly, pulled over and saw a nail. NO tire shoppes we're open. And the one that was laughed when I told him my car type make model and wheel/tire size (he said you'll never find that tire in KC). Well, I happen to see Tires Plus across from Walmart and thought 'what the heck'. Jamie Hart was working (I hope that was his name). They were open, first of all, and he was super kind. Said he could get the tires out of the warehouse early the next morning and put on right after. Left my car with him overnight and Monday afternoon I get a call. Brand new all season tires for a fair price. SUPER impressed and my husband (who works for a very large auto dealership that runs all over the country) was super shocked at their price and efficiency late on a Sunday evening. I visited here before so I am a return customer. Last week I took my car to get car wash. Then next day, I dropped my car to tire plus for oil change. They did not allow to wait in the lobby so I am came back 3 hours later to pick up my car. Out of confidence to the shop, I did not check the conditions of my car. When I got home, I realized there were severe scratches on one side of my back door. I am 100% sure the damage was done during the oil change because I washed my car the day before and it was fine. Also there is wall paint or some kind of residue on the damaged surface, it had to be the case that they hit or scratched the wall when they back out the car. I went back to confront them but they flat out denied it. I am so disappointed and furious about their lack of accountability and responsibility. I spent $1200 on new tires for my truck. I picked it up then hooked up the camper for a weekend away. When I got on the highway I had a horrible vibration. I had no option but to continue with my trip and just deal with a vibration and steering wheel shake. When I finally found time the following week to get the tires rebalanced I stopped by and they said I'd have to leave my truck with them for the day. I can understand that policy if I were walking in off the street but I was there asking them to fix a mistake they had made. I didn't think it was unreasonable to ask them to squeeze me in so they could fix THEIR mistake. It only take 30 minutes or so to balance the tires. I'm not interested in doing business with a shop that won't stand by their work. I won't be going back. There are better tire shops in town. You should go find a different one. read more

I have no problem with the work completed by the mechanics. The work was sound and safe and completed quickly. My problem is the sales staff up front and how they use advertising methods to get you in and then switch the deal. I came to Tires Plus needing new tires with a coupon for $100 off a purchase of $500 or more. When I arrived I was told that I couldn't use the coupon because the only tires they had for my car were not included in the sale. I was later called by the manager and told to read the fine print in the coupon. The problem isn't that I didn't read the fine print... the problem is that they actually have fine print to nullify the offer of the coupon. It's poor marketing and poor customer service--if you advertise a deal in huge large-print letters, you should honor the deal. Why is this a problem for me? Guess what I'm doing with any future coupons I get from Tires Plus--right in the garbage can. Again, I have no problem with the work completed by the mechanics. Dealing with the sales staff requires a lawyer. read more

I actually bummed to write this review since this location is so close to my house. I dropped off the vehicle early on a Sunday morning around 9:30am for some minor tire repair. We were told it would be a couple hours at the most. Called at 1200 they said it would be next on the list. We waited until 3:00pm and went to get the car assuming it was finished. It still had not been looked at. I felt we wasted a day and could of taken it 10 min down the road and had it done. Live and learn. If they can't be trusted to do something small I'd hate to trust them on something bigger. read more

I have had multiple problems with Stanley location. They got greasy hand prints all over my truck, stop answering phones hours before close, and customer service is non existing. We have hazard insurance but they wouldn't accept it because we put a donut on and removed a flat tire. Told me I should've towed it there at my own expense. What a joke!! A quick repair is free up the street and $26 at this place... don't waste your time on this place, complete garbage all the way around. read more

Seth took great care of us - we set an appointment, got the car in right on time and I was out in 42 minutes. Tristan is also a great tech and impressed me with his knowledge on the job. He was also quick and articulate and didn't mind answering a few additional questions I had for him. Turns out my tire wasn't damaged like I though it was. They didn't even charge me. Took our son's 2017 VW Passat car in for an oil change. After a few days of not driving it due to the Arctic blast, my son went to work. We had a 6 ft oil spot on the driveway. Took it back to TP and they said the washer inside the drain plug was cracked and they replaced it. On top of that, they picked someone with the same last name instead of adding my son to their database, so the receipt had someone else's name and address, but my son's phone # and email. Two days later, we have MORE oil, not just drips, but another puddle. Take it back to them and they say they took it to the dealer to get a new drain plug because the one in it wasn't right....this was the first time we didn't go to the VW dealer to have the oil changed, so obviously it was TP that put in the wrong drain plug. I have alway had great service at this Tires Plus Locations. Have 6 cars that we have had serviced and purchased tires for over the past 6 years. I was very surprise yesterday when by wife took my car in for a flat fix. to my surprise it was just under $30 dollar. She was told we did not buy flat protection. Very frustrating since I do not remember being told of the option to buy, but when he looked at our account he saw we had the coverage on another vehicle. Sloppy and poor way to treat a long time loyal customer. Sad to say you lost a longtime customer. read more

My oil change and tire rotation was performed amazing and they quoted me a reasonable drop off time and had it completed way before the time they quoted me. It was great. Thought I would give this place a 2nd chance to perform some routine maintenance; due to convenience. Assumed after a year, with turnover they would have made corrections in the past sub par service. Shame on me. Usually have decent service at other Firestone car centers (Tires Plus and Firestone same company), but this one fails on routine service like flat repair and checking air pressure, They are literally called "Tires Plus"! How could not check air pressure? I have road hazard and life time alignment, is that asking too much, I had a tire that looked low and had 25 lbs of air... Guy looked at the paper work and said air was added. Was not touched. They also didn't notice a headlight bulb was out! You would think they would notice and make some incremental money? Last year, brought in another car for oil change and rotation before we were going on a road trip. Where TPMS said tire was low. They said they checked it... Brought in twice. Ended up bringing it in to another place 1300 miles from home on vacation, where they immediately found the nail. Shame on you! Do you realize these are safety issues?! $3400 later and the same problem with my car wasn't fixed and now something else is wrong. Took my car in twice for them to fix my jeep's "death wobble" and it never got fixed. My second trip there they tightened something on my car and now its starting to make a funny noise while driving. The third trip up there they estimated over $700 to fix the new problem. I usually come here to get tires on our vehicles since they are fast and affordable. We always get the road hazard on our tires since we live on a gravel road. This last visit was different, they did not put road hazard on and when I went to get a low/leaking air tire fixed, I was told it would cost over $20. I said I have road hazard and he said no you don't. I asked him to check our history and he said yes we usually put road hazard on but we didn't this time. I told him they made a mistake and he said there was nothing they could do about it. I called later to talk to the manager JAMIE and he was very rude and said that there was nothing he could do about it. Very poor customer service and we will not be going here again! read more

I stopped by Tires Plus today for a simple oil change. It didn't seem too busy, only a couple other cars in the garage, but it took about 30 min for them to move my car to the garage, then about an hour in, the man at the desk informed me that they were "almost done, they're just filling it up with oil." ....probably what they should've been doing that whole time? I felt like I was put on the back burner because I needed something so simple and obviously wasn't spending a ton of money there. Can't help but almost be amused because I called to inquire about the wait somewhere else and they informed me it would be about half an hour, so I stopped here instead. It took an hour and a half for an oil change that could've been done in literally 15 min, and they weren't even extremely busy. I don't see myself returning here. read more

I had a flat tire on 3/29/18, and I was ready to literally cry because it was the end of my work day. I called around and found tire plus open. I aired up my tire up and proceeded to the tire plus off 119th in Overland Park. The manager Scott saw how frustrated I was and he was very helpful. His tech Nicklos showed and explained my tire somehow split in half. I ended up needing 2 new back tires. Scott was very patient and sold me 2 new tires at a great price. Remember it was the end of their work day and they went above and beyond to help me. I was completely satisfied. Tipping should always be an option in the service industry. read more
