I brought in my son's new car (a 2023 Mazda with only 20,000 miles) for an oil change over the weekend. After the service, warning lights for low engine oil started coming on almost immediately. At first, I gave them the benefit of the doubt and went back, thinking maybe it was just a faulty sensor, especially since I had gone through a car wash. However, the warning light continued all weekend. On Monday, I took the car to a Mazda dealership, and they confirmed--via video--that the issue was due to not enough oil being added during the service. I shared that video with this shop, and instead of taking accountability and simply refunding the $100, they said they're "investigating." Meanwhile, I had to spend additional time and money fixing their mistake. This was a dangerous oversight on their part and completely unacceptable. I won't be returning and wouldn't recommend them to anyone based on this experience.

It is so hard to know whom to trust and whose advice to consider. Over the years, I have come to trust Jiffy Lube. I go to their locations on regular basis, and they take care of the rest. My cars have never seen the dealership since they were purchased, and I am glad to say that my last 2 cars went over the 200,000 miles, and thus one is heading in the same direction. Maybe the cars are good, or maybe the people who take care of them are competent, or maybe both. This specific location, at the moment, is my favorite. They are fast and efficient, and even though I don't live around here anymore, I will make a point to be in the neighborhood when the time comes to change the oil. They have done other services too, and I find their prices reasonable. As a matter of fact, here's a true story. I took my car to a shop near my current residence and asked for a quote. When they gave me the quote, I showed them a receipt from Jiffy Lube and asked them to explain to my why their service was $100 more than the same performed by Jiffy Lube.
