My issue was alert coming in car for low air in tires. I have been a long time customer of tires plus up North in Phila and New Jersey I even had tires plus credit card years ago. I was glad to find one where I live now in Ponte Vedra Beach Florida 32082 at Palm Valley Circle. With having to help my daughter I became concerned of getting a flat. I went on a Sunday with first alert got air put in from John very nice attendant. message came back on 3 days later went back to get air again. Again message came on again I call tires plus was told to make appt for that Sunday by Dan for 3p to have all tires ck. This sensor comes on with weather change But never had it happen this often. Went Sunday at 3p after changing appt with Daughter to find out appt was not confirmed ? how would I know ? They could not look at tires that day went back the next Tuesday at 8a. My car was taken in I waited. One tire had a nail fixed got two new tires alignment and balance all done less than 2hrs. Because of error with appt in the past Sunday I got a discount and final bill was fair. I felt that was good customer service for error not my fault. John was a very caring attendant and offered understanding on that Sunday appt mishap he was knowledable. With out him I might not of gone back to this location. I was glad service was done and price was fair but make sure your appt gets confirmed. This location is very busy. read more

Our other car needed maintenance and more- oil change for starters, but also brakes needed a overhaul- aka, brakes, rotors and even calipers! Yikes!!! Tire rotation too. Well- all that was done Monday, my husband took the car in and was happy with everything. Until Tuesday- when I went to leave for work and ran back in to inform him his rear driver tire was flat. Uh-oh. I googled if a rotation could result in a flat tire- the main consensus was no. Well, crap- what poor luck. Yesterday we finally got the tire back to the shop and something happened to the valve stem causing the tire to leak! My immediate thought was that they probably did something during all the work Monday and wondered if there was going to be a charge for the fix. I mean- there shouldn't be, right? Guess they agreed with my sentiment! No charge- just a mild inconvenience. Car fix win in my book! They didn't know- but I need an oil change for my car too and would like my squeaky brakes looked at- and the way they handled John's car was going to be my deciding factor to take my car there too~ They passed the unheard test! To note- I have a friend that works for their corporate office, so I know I have someone to speak to if I need anything or if there is any problems- so far, Tires Plus has always taken care of me! read more

Which is a crock of shit because I had a fat bolt in another tire and it was easily patched up. Maybe he thought because I was a female he could bullshit me. If you don't close until 7 then why is it that you can't take any more cars at 630?? I won't be buying any more tires from a company that isn't reliable for a simple f ing repair. My truck broke down and this was the nearest shop. Tow truck driver asked me, where are we taking this? I said tires plus queens harbor.. Went home and roomate asked me wheres your truck? Tires plus. Both of them had told me, do not trust this place. They will try to upsale you everything. Day 2 in the shop, Diagnosis was done. I will need a fuel pump and a relay, $870 out the door. I asked them to break it down. Around $590 for parts and $280 for 2 hrs of labor. Quite Expensive, i bite the bullet and just tell them to do it. The mechanic/salesmen then calls me back, i will also need a new module and labor for another $1400 because my old module is too rusty to work on? So $2200 to get my vehicle running again. No thanks. I called for a another tow truck. Towed it to another shop, they were able to get everything done for half the price. read more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE!!! If I could leave zero stars I would. I got a nail in my tire and quickly made my way to the closest tire center. I left my Subaru here from 12:00pm to 5:45pm. They called me at around 4 (when they said it would take an hour) to tell me the service was completed. I picked up my car, paid $150 for an oil change and the "tire patch." I drove away and noticed my tire pressure signal was still on. I pulled over and the NAIL WAS STILL IN MY TIRE. Completely untouched. What a LIABILITY! I arrived back to see what the issue was only for them to tell me I needed an entirely new tire. They tried showing me some diagram that the tire was irreparable. The place the nail was in was in the green area, but they continued to say it was in the irrespirable zone. If they would have called me hours ago, I probably would have been agreeable to a new tire. They offered me a tire for a discount, but honestly, I'd rather pay quadruple than give them money. If you need business, this is not the way to get it. My money will never be spent at this business full of LIARS! I'll take my money to a different, trustworthy business that cares about their product and customers. Can't wait to drive my happy self all the way to Costco with a donut on my vehicle. Update: Stopped at Subaru - after they were closed i might add - and was greeted with a smile and "how can I help you." While the staff were friendly, they didn't deliver on what they promised. My mission: to have Tires Plus replace a headlight bulb. First off, who charges labor for a bulb replacement? They said they would throw in some other things for free, so I complied with the inflated price. After I dropped my car off, I headed for the gym next door (Bailey's) and returned to find out they weren't able to get the bulb needed for the make and model of my car. When I showed up they were super apologetic. Honestly, it's not the end of the world. But editing the bill was rather chaotic, because the original employee sold me on a Tires Plus card, which I had no interest in getting. Would I return? Maybe, maybe not. It's close to my apartment and my gym. Just know, that like most car repair shops, they will attempt to sell you on much more than you'd care to pay for. read more

I went in to have two tires mounted and balanced. I had an appointment and it still took over an hour and a half. The reason is because they get you in there and then start trying to sell you additional parts and services. Much like some oil change places that we have all been to and dreaded going back to 3000 miles later. Ha I overheard them run through the routine several times while I waited. No big deal but they quoted a replacement battery for my sons 2008 rabbit at $313 not including labor. What?! Man I must really look like I know nothing about cars or something. To top it off when I went outside to do a quick once over on my two tires I noticed one of the center cap lug covers looked a little odd and when I touched it to check it fell off. FIVE hours wasted. They had me leave my car for 5 hours and then "couldn't find the wheel lock key". I show up and find it in the glove compartment exactly where I told them. They refused to get working on my car immediately and told me I would have to wait again. Each time I went in the office clerk wasn't even around and I had to wait. Horrible customer service. Danny I believe? Waste of space. Oh and the tech, Michael, says "I'll air up your tire so you can get to another location." I get in the car and they didn't even do that!! This location clearly has two stars for a reason. I scheduled an appointment online for 1:00 and it said it was a request and if it couldn't be honored the store would call me. I got up here at 1:00 and they couldn't find my appointment in the system, so when I showed him by online appointment email he said it was a requested reservation and they would contact me when I could come in and they could take care of it. So what is the point of having a reservation? And why were the other people seen but not me? A few minutes a chick came in after me and Austin the employee told her the same thing. He said he wasn't sure when they could fix it but not today. Naturally upset, she starred to ask him further questions and complain and he told her she should stop being passive aggressive. Unbelievable customer service. I'm only giving two stars because the shop is clean, close to my house, and prices are reasonable . If I wasn't towed here already, I would have gone to Discount Tire on Beach. Clearly Tires Plus doesn't care about customers or their time. read more

I have been a Tires Plus customer for more than 20 years, and more than 5 years at this location. I have 5 cars, and did almost all of the maintenance on them here. Never again. I dropped my Porsche off for tires, brakes and oil. 3 and a half days later, I went by and the car was on the lift. I waited almost an hour for it. Then came the reason for this review. SOMEONE USED MY CAR. I recorded the miles when I dropped it off and zeroed the trip meter. When I picked it up, I found someone put 26 miles on it, and then that mileage is what is recorded on the paperwork. They zeroed the trip meter again, and then did a 4 mile test drive to test the brakes. To me, the rezeroing of the trip meter is the smoking gun. I don't care about 26 miles, it's the theft of the car that gets my goat. read more

I made an appt days ahead only to arrive the next afternoon to find out they couldn't do my service. The guy at counter told the lady in front of me who they also canceled they called everyone. We never received a phone call. Some notice would of been nice as I arranged care for my son and transportation to and from. So now I'm stuck leaving in a few hours for an 1,800 mile road trip with a vehicle I don't believe is safe. Got stationed here in Jacksonville not knowing much mechanic shops. Came to this tire plus and brought my truck for a full check up. Because my breaks were very spongy. Was told my ABS system was completely messed up and leaking and was going to be around $900. Took it to another place to get a second look and was told absolutely nothing was wrong with my abs system. All I needed was a new Master Cylinder. And now my breaks are like new. Wouldn't recommend this place doesn't seem like there very honest but very much money hungry. read more

I went in asking them to patch my tire because there was a nail in it. I went in at about 6pm and they told me they were already doing their last job for the day and they wouldn't be able to look at it until tomorrow. I understood, but mind you, they close at 7, and all I needed was a quick patch. The nail was located directly in the middle of my tire, so I knew it could easily be patched. I got a call at about 7:20 the same night and they told me the tire, that was also less than 2 months old, was ruined cause the nail hit the side wall. They said "don't worry we quoted you for 2 new tires for when you come in tomorrow!" I'm a young girl in my 20s who they probably think knows nothing about cars. I knew it was BS and they were just trying to scam me into buying a new tire. I told them no and that I would be picking up the tire tomorrow. When I went to pick up the tire the next day you can tell they were pissed and had an attitude. They told me to go out front and park in front of bay 1 and they would come put the tire in my car. I had two babies with me in the sweltering heat and I was sitting out there for 15 minutes and not one person brought me the tire and not one mechanic would even look my way so I could grab someone's attention. I ended up going back inside and saying "hello I've been waiting out there for nearly 20 minutes???" Just for him to say "oh yeah" and direct someone else to put the tire in my car. I could've done it myself if I knew where it was. Long story short, it was clear they didn't even examine the tire. The nail was still nudged in the center of my tire. I ended up bringing it somewhere else for them to patch it in 10 minutes. It is clear they saw a young girl and figured they could make a buck. read more

Not what can I do for you today sir... He overcharged me by $150 because a "key stuck", and only because I disputed the charge he removed the overcharge. I was asked if I wanted to wait for the car or pick up later. I told them i would pick up at 5:30pm 5:35 pm came and i showed up. Young lady in redhead was very defensive when i asked how come my car was not ready. Very quick to say "well we were very busy today and things get delayed"... Bull#%^^t. Because i told them that i would pick up the car later, they tool a bunch of other walk ins and delayed my car. Now, i have other things to do and will have to pick up car after closing. Ohh and BTW, the car will not be ready until one hour after the promised 5:30pm and young lady in red made it look like that was my problem. They have some serious issues in this place. So this occurred yesterday around 6:30 pm mind your they close at 7pm,not a customer in sight btw. So I walk in and he says "you here to pick up?" and I said "no,I-" before I could even finish my sentence he laughs and says "oh we're not doing anything else tonight" excuse me but I've worked in customer service for many years now and this is not how you speak to any customer,I don't give a damn how tired you are we're all tired but this is your job. Any other tire place would have said "well we may not be able to get to it tonight but we can certainly take a look!" They certainly wouldn't have laughed in my face and sent me out. I really hate writing bad reviews but this place has been a real bummer on both of my experiences, and I hope I can save a few other people some time and effort in dealing with them. I came by a few weeks ago because I had a battery that was going bad, and they are close to the house. I thought I'd see what the price was on a battery before driving the extra few miles to an autozone at the beach. They took a long time to help, and when they finally did they wouldn't give me a quote before taking all of my information. Company policy, I get it, but it was still a waste of time. Last week I came by for an oil change. It's walkable to my gym, so I thought I'd drop it off and walk over to the gym. They said they could change the oil in an hour - no problem. An oil change takes about 15 minutes after all. When I got out of the gym an hour and 15 minutes later I called to check in and see if they were done. They said it got busy but my car was going up on the lift and should be done in a few minutes. I figured I'd go to dinner and give them some more time. Fast forward 45 minutes when I walk in the door to see my car just being raised on the lift. They then took their sweet time on an oil change. Two and a half hours for an oil change, and they lied to me about having it on the lift in the first place. I just felt robbed of my afternoon for no reason. +1 star for actually changing my oil at least. read more

This particular TP is new and has been open slightly less than a year. It's managed by a guy named Mike who recently went the extra mile in helping me service my GMC pick up. Despite having $1500+ work done on it prior to moving to Fla from AZ (Note: my EXACT words to the dealer prior to my departure: "go through it with a fine tooth comb and fix whatever needs fixing"), the water pump and hoses broke merely 3000 miles after I arrived here. Mike noted that all of the items that were documented as "replaced" from Thoroughbred Chervolet in Mesa, AZ were not (I kept a copy of the itemized receipt) and proceeded to call the dealer in AZ on my behalf. The AZ dealer simply wrote him off in a condescending fashion as "not being factory authorized/"How the hell would you know what we didn't do?" and refused to admit responsibility. I subsequently called the dealer in AZ myself and you can read the outcome of that review on Yelp! AZ as well. I've had new tires put on here in the past and all of my oil changes and services without any issues. At TB Chevy, they actually had neglected to put oil back in my engine once, fired the service manager and then let it go at that. Tires Plus has been pleasant, professional and I would highly recommend them at either Atlantic Blvd. location for authorized work. read more

I have given lots of business to this location over the years. No longer trust them or their advice. Every time I come in for an oil change it's always something different they say needs fixed. The latest is thousands In steering components that need fixed to correct an issue they failed to identify last year. On top of that, this location sucks at time management. I've been coming to this tires Plus for years probably spent close to at least 10 grand there and I've never been more disappointed than a what happened about a month ago my wife brought her car in there because it was stuttering and acting like it wanted to cut out. And when they gave her a quote they gave her a quote of $2,000 to fix the airflow hose and sensor and to do a spark plug change. When I checked under the hood myself cuz I picked the car up cuz I couldn't afford $2,000 right then I noticed that they had just wrapped the hose with some kind of cloth and some tar like substance but the hole was still in the hose. I then called the dealership got the part the hose and the O2 sensor for under $60 and was able to put it in myself in less than 30 minutes yet they wanted to charge me over $700 for this. Then picking up spark plugs and doing all that myself again under $150 yet they wanted to charge another $700. I have never been so mad and disappointed in a company that has let their people take advantage of women and other people because they don't know any better I will never take my car back there it's embarrassing the guys who used to run to place or fantastic helpful honest but this is a joke read more

Made an appointment and when I arrived wasn't even acknowledged. Took over an hour and was told my car was ready when it wasn't. When the guy brought my car around he was laughing about the "miscommunication" and left my car on high heat when it's 95degrees out. Staff cracking jokes about customers and myself. After leaving- I called and spoke to the Manager who is just as mentally warped as the ones laughing at me. Disgusting. not this location but this one ------ 10361 Atlantic Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32225 I went they're because my air conditioner was blowing warm, But was still cycling on and off. I paid for the AC check up which included them putting die in the system so when it leak they could find out where the leak was coming from. I did not even get a quarter of a mile up the road and I had already called them back to say was blowing warm still he said they did not have digital thermometer so he did not know. I brought it back that night and he said my compressor was burnt up. There was no die anywhere near the engine. He said the whole sister was shot and needed to be repaired. I asked where the guy was show the lake and he commented I knew where the leak was this morning. I asked if you knew where the leak was why did you tell me and why is there no die anywhere around where you said the leak is. Call corporate three times no one responded. It cost me $600 to repair what was not broken to begin with. read more

I have been here a few times for tire rotations. The staff is super nice and honestly try to talk to you like you are not an idiot which is a nice change of pace. I'm very hesitant to take my vehicle anywhere but the dealer for any work because of horrifying past experiences with people who really didn't know how to work on my vehicles but this place I can at least trust with my tires. Wish I would have went to Tire Kingdom like I did last month for my wife's car. I was in and out of there and everywhere else I've been in the past in under 2 hours. Tires Plus on Atlantic Queens Harbour is by far the slowest and worst experience I've ever encountered. I got here at 7:30am 30 min before my appointment and did not get out until after 11:30. All I had done was 4 new average size tires for my pick up truck. Nothing special ordered. I literally watched 2 guys in the shop walk around at their leisure letting my truck sit on a lift for hours. I will make sure to go elsewhere next time and let my friends, family, and colleagues about this experience. While I understand this may not be a specific employee or employees fault the company needs to do a better job scheduling or staffing if they want to compete with their business nearby who can clearly surpass them in efficiency and service. read more

After bringing my car to Tires Plus and their sister store Wheel Works on the West Coast for the past 10 years, I have had nothing but great experiences. They have always stood behind their work and performed quality and fairly priced work. I have had them perform all services, oil changes, tire installations, battery replacements, and even working on the emission system here. On my final visit to this location, I brought it in for an oil change, to have the Windshill wipers replaced, and to have the cabin filter replaced. When I picked up my car, the front grill was cracked. I brought it to the attention of management and management's response was my car was just old and corroded. They have taken care of the car since 30,000 miles and now it has 197,000 miles. There was no damage to the grill prior to dropping off my car to this location. When they tried to fix the grill they were unable to do so and have given me a lot of grief turning the blame around on me and saying that the car is just old. I just don't understand when you drop off a car and there's no damage to that are and when you pick up the car there is damage how you can just blame it on the car being old. Management is not handling the situation very well and is trying to blame the consumer instead of taking responsibility. I guess the lesson learned is that after 10 years of giving them the opportunity to service the vehicle, in the end they aren't going to take care of their customers and fix things that they broke while the car was in their care. read more

I recommend making an appointment as I tried to just stop in for a quick oil change and they said it would be close to a 4 hour wait. No big deal, but it's better to make an appointment. After initially having a poor experience at this Tires Plus store, I wanted to update my review. Tires plus has exceeded our expectations. Robert and Joe were more than helpful on the phone and wanted to do what was needed for my college age daughter to feel safe in her car. The service was speedy and they went beyond what was expected considering this was her first visit. They were friendly to my daughter and made everything right. I have been a long time user of Tires Plus, and have received great service most of the time. I have been using this particular store for a year or so, though I have not been as pleased as i was at another store a few miles away. I had a slight problem with the tire pressure monitor on my car. I scheduled a routine oil change and tire rotation, and asked that the tire pressure monitor be checked. Usually, the store does a good job. This time, it was a totally different story. The tire pressure monitor was not checked, nor was the windshield wiper fluid tank filled. I returned four days later, to again have the pressure monitor check, As I was explaining the situation to a male employee,some woman behind the counter interrupted me although she was not part of the conversation. I heard her identify herself as "Emily" when she answered the store's phone. An employee told me two sensors needed to be replaced at a cost of more than two hundred dollars. Declining to have the sensors replaced at that store, I took the car to the dealership where a single sensor was replaced while still under warranty. The problem was resolved with the replacement of a single sensor.The dealer also made sure all the fluids were okay. A complaint was lodged with Tires Plus corporate web site. Two days later, a person named Emily called, saying she was the store manager. She said the store's equipment indicated two sensors were bad, and her technician could only act on the information at hand. She did apologize, though she accepted no responsibility nor explanation for the different results between her store and the car's dealership. read more
