I ended up at STS Tire after my husband spoke with Mike- the man of the hour who was incredibly suave and knowledgeable and made the entire info process feel easy and straightforward. While here, I found out STS originated from Mavis(?)- that's a story for another time. What matters is that they got me exactly what I needed: 4 brand new Goodyear tires, installed smoothly and without any hassle. As for the crew working on my car, they were professional. I appreciated how thorough they were, treating my car with care as if it were their own. Here's the kicker: compared to my car dealership, STS came in at $200 less for the exact same Goodyear tires. My car was fine until it was time to pay and i got told "the caliper piston was leaking and thats why the brakes felt weird" i replied they didnt feel weird before coming here (i know my car) So i go out to my car, start it, put it in drive and my foot literally goes to the floor as my car is rolling forward so i quickly put it back in park....my mechanically inclined brother goes to investigate and low and behold my brake hose was broken.....brake fluid all over the ground! THOSE BRAKE LINES WERE DONE 8 MONTHS AGO!!!! PRACTICALLY BRAND NEW!!!! What do i get told by people at vancleecks? That it was my fault, that i brought my car to them like that, they even went as far as telling me where i parked had brake fluid on the ground which it wasnt brake fluid....it was oil cause my car has an oil leak! He quickly ordered tires for my Tesla. As it was going to take at least a couple of days for them to arrive, he realized I was in a bind as it was 5:25pm on a Thursday afternoon and rental car companies were able to close at 5:30pm (I was staying with family an hour away in the mountains). Vinny went above and beyond the call of duty and offered me a ride to the local Enterprise down the road. As we pulled up, it was past their closing time, but he was able to convince the Enterprise staff locking up to give me a car. Without Vinny, I would have been stranded in Kingston. This encounter reminded me that there are good people in the world. If I could give 10 stars, I would! He turned what was quite a stressful situation into one that was very positive and I'm so grateful for him and his team. I also got the best price on the replacement tires, and I will make it a point to get serviced with Mavis Kingston whenever we are in the area.

I had nothing noticeably wrong with my car but was told it couldn't pass inspection because it needed a rack and pinion and power steering fluid pump. I should have not taken their word for it. I was cleverly taken back to look at what was wrong. Actually he showed me and told me what was wrong. (What did I know?) It was real thievery. When I finally got it back just before closing two days later I picked it up left the shop and my check engine light was and my car failed inspection. After $2750. my car had a thumping sound, failed inspection , piece of paper and instructed to drive 50 miles then bring it back. I might guess what you'd be thinking about my , I would have done it myself. BEWARE, MAVIS HAS A NICE HISTORY OF CHECKING THINGS WITHOUT CHARGE.. THAT's to make you think they're honest.
