Photo of Ewayne Wooters Ewayne Wooters…read more Edited 7 hours ago Give me a few days to compose but I have a juicy one coming up about my dark journey thru the midas maze of work performed or should say not performed over a 5 overnight trip adventure to and from their shop attempting to get my car fixed for a draw on my battery!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Well here we go. Battery going dead so I bought a new one from Autozone. Battery still went dead so I took it to Midas. They said they would have to hook up the diagnostic machine up for $99 I said alright. Here is when the fun started. Nothing showed up which he said was normal for older cars. Why even hook it up then. Then they said the battery was bad so we got a new one from Autozone. Took it home dead battery next day. Took it back they said that battery was bad installed another took it home next day battery was dead. Took back in they said dome lights bad put in new ones took it home dead once again. This went on for four or five times. Each trip was overnight requiring my wife to pick me up before I said enough was enough. Took car home called Midas owner about a refund and he said the alternator was bad and wanted to charge me another two or three hundred to replace it. Unbelievable, the car is in my garage and he can tell the alternator is bad and didn't even have to look at it. He is good. The car only has 95000 miles on it. Ended up taking car to my normal real mechanic in Shakopee and in about a hour he found the door switch needed cleaning, bingo fixed for $183 dollars!!!!!!!!!!!!!Paid $430 to Midas for exactly nothing except guessing what was wrong. You be the judge! IF YOUR CAR BREAKS DOWN IN FRONT OF THE BUILDING PUSH IT DOWN THE STREET!!!!!!!

I brought my car to Autopia in Bloomington after my check engine light came on because the dealership I normally use was fully booked. Autopia was able to get me in right away. I explained that we had already run a diagnostic and provided the codes. Later that day they told me those were "old codes" and that I needed an oil flush. I paid over $600, picked up my car, and the check engine light came back on as soon as I got on the interstate. I returned the car the next day and was told I needed a timing chain and that the repair would cost over $12,000. The manager also warned me not to expect my warranty to cover much of it and said I should be prepared to pay a lot out of pocket. When the warranty company sent an inspector, they approved $6,100. The inspector explained that Autopia's estimate was significantly higher than what they typically see and that the labor alone was over $4,500 when it should have been closer to $2,500. When my husband asked Autopia for a detailed breakdown of the charges, they refused and would only provide the total. At that point I decided to rescue my car and bring it to the dealership, and I'm very glad I did. The dealership determined the real issue was the engine, not the timing chain. If I had stayed at Autopia, I could have spent thousands on a repair that would not have fixed the problem. They had also missed a large hole in one of the hoses, which the dealership immediately pointed out. The engine replacement ended up costing $9,200, and my warranty covered 100% of the repair. I only paid my deductible. Unfortunately, I still paid Autopia over $600 for an oil flush that the dealership later said was unnecessary. Based on my experience, I strongly recommend avoiding this shop.

My Uncle brought it to another mechanic who said the car is not fixable. The damage is from the car being in a flood and now DJPete's won't do a thing about it. It is sad when a company sells a car that is damaged and won't refund the money or make an attempt to repair it. It's sad when businesses take advantage of the elderly!!! I would not do business with them if you don't want to get ripped off.

My vehicle broke down. I had called around to several different places an seen this one! It seemed as though it was a good reasonable service! Today I was informed by the owner Dan who just looked at my vehicle, ism being charged 350$ for nothing!! This man sounded soo sincere like he was a good decent person! I have never in my life been charged a ridiculous amount of money for a professional to just look at my car, not know what's wro g with it an wants to charge me more money for looking at it some more. Tells me "your up to 350$? For what? He didn't fix a darn thing on my vehicle an still doesn't know what's wrong with it! I cannot beleive how unprofessional that is. If a mechanic is going to charge you 350$ wouldn't ypu expect something out of it? My son us dying an I'm poor this this grimmy owner just hustled a poor woman in need. Thank you Dan for taking advantage of a poor woman with a dying son. Thank you Dan for not fixing anything on my vehicle but charging me 350$ for just looking at it! Thanks for nothing! Had i known this is what kind of crook I was dealing with if never brought my vehicle here. It was the closest place to the hotel I was at. I highly do Not recommend this place to anyone! Unless you just want your vehicle looked at!! Nothing was fixed an I'm being charged 350$ That's just awful!!
