Yesterday morning I waited in a Tire Kingdoms lobby for about six hours, six wonderful, fun, comfortable, enlightening, quickly passing hours. Firstly, the manager Victor Smith always has taken great care of me. Secondly, his staff and how well they work together remind me of a well-oiled machine. Lastly, I feel like I walked away from today's experience with much more knowledge than I started with. I've never, in my entire life, have had a better experience waiting for unexpected repairs. I've been going to tire kingdom since it was on Belcher and Ulmerton. I believe that is where I first met Victor Smith. He's always been extremely knowledgeable and professional. He takes time to explain what he's doing and why things are the way they are, no matter how busy the store may get. Victor Smith is patient and understanding with all customers who walk through the front door and call on the phone. He works with and coaches his employees with respect and understanding, as well. He is the main reason I go to Tire Kingdom. This store could not have a better manager. He is an asset to the company. His staff was also knowledgeable and extremely friendly. In particular was Stephanie and Frank. Stephanie was an exceptional front of house employee. She was positive and outgoing, fun to be around, capable, and answered every question that myself, other customers, or the rest of the staff had. She was extremely helpful to everyone. Frank was also a pleasure. He took time to explain why I needed specific repairs. I came into the store out of concern for my safety as my car did not feel safe. Upon inspecting my car and also being concerned for my safety, he recommended back brake pads. His genuine demeanor and positive attitude steered me to get a rear brake job. As a whole, Tire Kingdom 6004 worked extremely well together in flawless synchronicity to help each and every guest, to the best of their ability, that I had laid eyes on and heard in that store, Monday July first. As we are all curious and easily succumb to boredom, I wandered around the property and couldn't help but speak to the staff. In my first conversation with Frank, he had told me he always works on cars as if they were his own. I occasionally checked on my car and when I did so, Frank would explain what he's doing and why. He had no problem with me watching him work (hard I must add) and took pride in his work. I learned that he has a project car, and couldn't help but ask questions. Not only did he answer them in depth and thoroughly but gave me some tips and tricks. I walked away from this experience more knowledgeable than I had started. All in all, I had problems with my car and went in for a routine inspection and advice. As I was walking into the building I was not expecting to learn as much as I did and feel as if I made three new friends. I was treated so well it felt like family. Buyer beware, .... they will sell you shocks and struts at high prices, even though my car did not require those parts.. the tires were out of balance, due to my lack of rotation often enough....the correction of defect was to replace the worn tires....nothing else....Apparently, other auto shops are aware of Tire Kingdom's reputation of every car needs $1200 shocks and struts that rolls into their store....I had Mavis tires replace my tires, now the car rides like new and no vibration of defective tire ware and balance issues.... read more

Scheduled an full synthetic oil change and tire rotation for my 2017 RAM 1500. Desk Service guy says I need new tires, but I know I can get another 5,000 miles out of them. He also mentions that they're running late because they only have 2 techs working. My complaint is that they decided not to rotate the tires, or check my brake pads because they decided I needed new ones. I believe the reason they didn't change the tires was either they're lazy, or cut corners because they were short staffed. So, the only thing they did for $82 was change my oil. Half the service for all the price. Will I go back, or buy my new tires from this outfit? Not a chance. read more

Went in at about 5:30 pm because my tire was leaking air. They close at 7:00. There were two guys working inside but no customers inside. The two guys were doing paperwork at the work stations. I stood there for 5 real minutes and neither guy would look up and acknowledge me. It was as if they were challenging each other who would crack and wait on me. Fantastic service. I had a punctured tire and was on a crunch. They were able to squeeze me in same day AND delivered reasonably priced service with great customer service. Well like all fly by night tire shops they did all the wrong stuff. Called for a quote the day before and of course was over charged when I got there it was $25 more. Also told them how to put the spare back in and of course they could not do that corectly. The guy was nice like most rip off artist are but hey when you are from out of town this is what you will get every time. Plus side they did have free coffee. read more

Took my car in for an oil change. 2 hours later I get my car back with 3 new lights on my dash. I was told nothing could be done to clear it but nothing was actually wrong and I needed to go to a dealership for them to clear it. I get to the dealership and it is actually a broken wheel sensor and I had to pay them to fix it. read more

Walked in without appointment to get a 10 minute tire set. Guy said it would be till end of day before I would get my car back had appointments all day. My wife brought her van to Tire Kingdom with a leaky tire. I arrived about 15 minutes after her to find out what was wrong and what was needed to get it fixed. When I got there they claimed that her tire had 4 nails in it, that it could not be repaired, and the only option was to buy a brand new $140 tire from them. The claimed a nail had punctured the side wall and thus rendered the tired damaged beyond repair. I did not get a good feeling about their assessment, and I didnt want to have 3 used tires and one brand new one on our vehicle so I asked them to put the spare tire on the van and I went to another local tire shop. The guys at the other shop brought me into the shop and showed me all the nails in the tire (something Tire Kingdom did not do) What I found out was that there were not 4 nails in the tire only three, there was in fact no nail in the side wall at all....none. Of the remaining 3 nails only two had actually punctured the tire and they were both repairable. It took the other guys about 15 mins to repair the tire and they only charged me $10.70!! That was 3 weeks ago and I've had no issues with the tire since Unethical business practices. Ill never bring another vehicle to these guys again. read more

Absolutely horrible service. I called ahead of time to make sure they could repair my tire which had a nail in it. They were 50 minutes from closing but said I could come in and they would get it done. They only had one mechanic working who was extremely lazy. He showed us the tire and said it was nonrepairable, it was clear he didn't want to do the work and possibly have to stay late. He made excuses and waisted our time. He put the tire back on and his ride pulled up just as he brought us our car back. Then he hopped into the car that pulled up for him and left the location 15 minutes before close! Clearly, Andy the mechanic had better things to do than to do his actual job! I called tire kingdom to schedule an alignment for my truck, I scheduled it for 3 o clock I dropped the truck off and sat in the waiting room the guys in the shop were messing around on there phone listening to music and dancing for probably ten minutes before the truck was even started to be put on the lift. A hour and fifteen minutes goes by and the truck is finally taken off the lift and one of the employees takes it for a "test drive", he then flies back though the parking lot in my truck so I walked outside and asked him why he was romping on my truck. He said "I wasn't romping on your f*cking truck bro" screaming at me and then puts it back on the lift. I go talk to the manager who tells me I didn't sign anything saying he could drive my vehicle then the guy comes back and says he's sorry for yelling. I pay get in my truck and leave. The alignment is so far off I was changing lanes if I let go off the wheel, so I took it back, then took a hour and a half to "fix" it, I drove it again and the same thing happened. It is now 6:30 in the afternoon I got a refund and left. BY FAR THE MOST UNPROFESSIONAL MECHANICAL SHOP I HAVE EVER BEEN IN! Manager smoking outside the whole time, all the guys in the shop messing around blasting music and still didn't get the job done. STAY AWAY from these crooks. I am a single woman. I don't have a lot of money and am trying to keep my 2005 Dodge Neon running as long as I can as I need my vehicle for work. I initially brought my car to Tire Kingdom for an oil change. I decided to have a diagnostic check done because of the age of the car. Hours later, I received a call from Mike. He told me my rear brakes were shot. He then shocked me by saying my car needed $4,000 of work done. Even if the car was worth $4,000 I couldn't have afforded it. I was panicked; believing this news. Thank God I know to get a 2nd opinion. I brought it to a friend's mechanic, without disclosing Tire Kingdom's assessment. WOW! I picked up the car and was shocked by what he'd found.My rear brake pads were only 50% worn. They needed no work. He went on to say it's a great little car that was in need of front brakes. He did them for $220. I am reporting Tire Kingdom to the Better Business Bureau, as this constitutes fraud. I have never felt strong enough about a business, good or bad, to write a review.
