I wouldn't come here unless you can leave your vehicle and have them call you when it's done. Went in for an oil change and finally got to check out a full 2 hours later. I understand that they are a full service shop so they do more than that when you ask for an oil change, but they have windows into their work area so you can see as the staff are leaning on your vehicle watching videos on their phones and laughing rather than prioritizing getting customers going and then taking any break they need. They do a good job, but they do not have any sense of customer care in the slightest. 2 guys leaned on my completely finished vehicle and watched videos on Juniors phone as I watched them for the last 20 minutes. I stopped in the day before to confirm they had or could get my tire, and made an appointment. I arrived and they took my car in almost immediately and started working on it. Fair price for the tires required. I watched them torque the lug nuts with a torque wrench not just an air gun. That's attention to detail. When people set an appointment OVER THE PHONE, don't make them waste 2 hours before the car is even pulled in. Tf is an appointment for if you guys are slacking? Seriously I booked online, got a call 2 days later to confirm time and location. Showed up for the appointment 10 minutes early. 1.5 hours later I had to TELL THEM to do my car. Then to change 2 tires it still took over 2 hours. This place blows, go literally anywhere else. I've never been so disappointed with a location before. EDIT: we were told the lug nuts were swollen and should buy new. We weren't told how many were being replaced. Just that they were going to replace if we okayed. We said fine, didn't tell us we'd wait EVEN LONGER for the nuts to show up. THEY DIDNT EVEN HAVE THEM IN STOCK. So we waited an extra hour for them to be delivered (no heads up about this) then on the receipt they didn't charge us for the nuts individual price for a set, they charged us a half hour of labor. WHY WOULD YOU NOT CHARGE AN ITEM ON A RECEIPT FOR WHAT IT IS. This place is sketchy, slow moving, and overall not worth the time. Extremely disappointed with my experience here. If you'd had any car issues over the last 2-3yrs you know that the auto-repair industry is extremely stretched then. It's hard to find the skilled labor to perform the repairs leading to week long waits and upset customers. I understand these workers are putting in long hours and are stressed from the never ending workload. Walked in on Monday to get my tire looked at (possible leak) and wanted a tire rotation. Worker quotes me 3hrs which at the time wasn't doable. So I scheduled an appointment for 11am on Wed instead which made sense with my schedule and figured getting an appointment would guarantee my car would be serviced. Dropped it off and received the same 2-3hr time quote which I was cool with because I was working nearby and blocked my schedule off to pick my car back up at 3pm (4hrs from time of appt). I go back at 3 and my car is sitting In same exact spot I left it. I go in and ask to get my car and sure enough they didn't even touch it. Employee says it'll be another 3-4hrs before they can get to working on it because they got too busy. No apologies. He just asked if it wanted to schedule another appointment... Not only has a significant amount of my time been wasted, I'm also out the cost of the Ubers to bring me to and from the tire shop for nothing. Very frustrating experience. I went for an oul leak ,so when I went to pick it up.the engine like was on so trying firgure it they just reset told me it was fine then I got down the street it came back on they said took apart put it back then almost home oil pressure low turn off car called and told them said it was ok to drive then come to find out it was broke so then fixed that,but the engine light came on again hook to machine now saying it is the crank sensor ,but cut off engine light again and says if comes back on that is what it is ,so replace that ,but the engine light came on again ,so after all that my Car still not right so finally say its the turbo and no offer to give me any money and said it is ware and tare or coincidence and there nothing else wrong with my Car before that. read more

I needed new tires as I start a new traveling job within the area. I was told when I called they would need until the next day to get the tires. My appointment was a 4pm.... I did not leave until 7:30pm. That was way way too long. Unappreciative of the television cutting off promptly at 7 when the store is supposed to close. I appreciate the deal, but I would have paid more to get out of there quicker. 3.5 hours is ridiculous. That I feel was a waste of my time to have to wait. read more

I have been a customer of Tire Discounters in Hermitage for over 10 years. I normally have had good service but slow. November 2022, I had new brakes and rotors all the way around my Lexus SUV. I was told these are as good as OEM. Immediately I had squeaking. Took them back and 4 hrs. later still squeak. They replaced brakes, back again still squeak, they replaced rotors in front still squeak another 4 hrs. later. The reality is that the quality of products put on my car was very low. Another 4 hr. wait and they put higher quality brakes and rotor on and solved for a short time. Update: Took it to the dealership and it turns out that they did not install the shim kit I paid for, and the brake pads were REVERSED. Now that the dealership has fixed it I have had zero problems. Tire Discounters now will not respond to requests to compensate me for the money I paid them to improperly change my brakes. Kind of feels like fraud at this point. read more

Their work seems to be good. Their ability to maintain a schedule is horrible. You should plan on whatever time they told you to be doubled. I have been there 3 times. 1st time- scheduled in advance an oil change that took two hours. 2nd time- scheduled an oil change that took 4 hours. 3rd time - i attempted to schedule an oil change and they told me that they don't take appointments and that I should drop it off. I said fine and took it to them at 8am. At 6:30 pm they called me because they had not started it yet. When I picked up the car, they told me the delay was because I was a walk-in and did not schedule an appointment. I explained that I tried to schedule an appointment and I was told that making a reservation was not possible because they don't schedule appointments. The y told me that wasn't what he meant. Then they told me it was because they only had one technician. Their work is good, and their prices seem to be fair, but if you are in a hurry, you should go somewhere else. This may just be a location problem, because I have previously gone to the Church Street location and didn't have this problem an oil change still took two hours, but they told me that up front. read more

Absolutely do not go here. My boyfriend who knows cars set up the appointment but couldn't be with me at the appointment. I asked for an alignment, balance and rotation. I was told it would take an hour and a half. I was there for almost 4 hours. They told me I needed to replace the back left tire, so I ended up spending $330 in total and they didn't even rotate my tires (we marked the tires before so we in fact know they didn't rotate the tires). They didn't put weights on the front two tires so it wasn't even balanced. And knowing they didn't do that work on my car I'm sure they scammed me about getting a new tire. I have never felt so manipulated by a business, and it's frustrating enough personally not knowing about cars or else I would have stood up for myself at the appointment. They also didn't show me the tire they replaced after I asked the guy at the front to walk out and show me. And I guess their printer doesn't print well on hot days but I asked if he could print my alignment sheet again because some numbers where missing and he told me I would have to come in another day when it's not hot and if worse comes to worse I could just get another alignment. Was running errands when a lady pointed out a nail in back tire. Firestone was in the same parking lot but I limped over to discount tire as we have 6 cars we take there. I have a jeep so changing the tire would have been a 15 minute job. They told me they couldn't fit me in until next week. I would have gladly of paid for the labor and come back when they weren't so busy to purchase two new tires and possibly and additional spare. I sat in their parking for 3+ hours waiting on roadside assistance for a tire change that took 12 mins. They have now lost a 2-3 tire purchase and we will be moving our car collection to a better mechanic shop. Terrible at earning business. Tried giving these guys a shot and they absolutely blew it. I called to get an estimate on an alignment for my F-150 and was quoted $119. Showed up to get it performed and the manager, Jon, tells my that my total was gonna be $204. After questioning the price, he asks some chubby almost-bald blonde guy behind the window why it was so high. The dude tells him because it's lifted and has 35in tires. Sounded like he had no idea what he was talking about, because it was leveled and had 33in tires. So the manager just tells me "Well, that's what he wants to do it for." (Regarding the price and performing the alignment) Complete waste of time and gas. Will never suggest or bring any of my vehicles here. I bought my tires here after having an exceptional experience the last time I bought my tires at the Spring Hill location. I was hesitant after reading the reviews, but again, I had such a great experience at the Spring Hill location I decided to take a chance. I waited hours over the initial appt to get my tires & upon return the next time for an oil & tire rotation, i came back after the 2 hr estimate provided to me-which is excessive for the service-& my car had not been touched! I was clearly frustrated & upset & these guys could care less. Do NOT waste your time with this place! An appointment means NOTHING & you will wait hours upon hours over what their initial time estimate is. I'll take my car to a different location next time. I had a slow leak in one of my back tires and had to keep putting air in it. I've owned the car since 2020(yes, I bought it during Covid complete shutdown) but this 2013 Lexus only had 32k miles on it. I couldn't resist. My car now (5/18/23 has less than 55k miles on it but the leaky tire had to go. I ordered tires from Walmart.com for less than $550.00 dollars but they wouldn't be delivered for another two weeks. So..... I stopped in at Discount tires. They had the size tires I needed. I had the young man to look at all four tires but the back two definitely needed to be replaced. He said the front ones looked okay (a little dry rot showing on one but, I could get by with just the two in the rear. He gave me a good, better, best quote for two and four, with a bonus discount for the four. I saw a sign that said 6 months or 12 months free financing. I applied and got the 6 month free financing (longer story). I decided to go with the 4 tires. I asked, how long would it take to instal the tires plus checking my break-pads. He told me about 1:45 minutes or so. I told him fine; I can go and get a bite. This was 12:15ish. I went and got a pedicure and a sit down lunch and came back. It was now 2:00ish. I waited and waited and waited and waited........ It's now about 5:00. I went outside to the stalls and I could see my car still in the air. They wrapped it up and now it was time to pay. My bill came to $1400.00 dollars plus 5 hours of waiting. Moral of this story is, order your tires at Walmart and wait. It will cost you half as much. And, make an appointment before you go. 5 hours of waiting for a non emergency is just a waste of time and know that Discount Tires is not actually a discount place to get tires! read more

I purchased my tires from them and felt the service and enthusiasm at that time was outstanding, however now when I come in to make appointment and arrive for the appointment to have the tires rotated, that enthusiasm is just not there. I knew I couldn't drive long on it so I hauled it over to Tire Discounters. They were so kind and accommodating, despite my showing up at the last minute. There were still quite a few people in the waiting room, and it did take about an hour and half to get me out of there, for one tire, but the service I recieved from the guys was great. Never fails. Underpaid mechanics that don't care about doing things correctly, and just doing them as fast and careless as possible. Got two new tires, they rotated the old tires. Got a screw in the old ones same day, no doubt from the shop's lot, and of course it's in one of the old rotated ones. Tire Discounters, thinking they're a NASCAR pit crew, instead of starting the lug nut by hand, started it with an air wrench and completely stripped it out. Had a flat the next days, and guess what? I have to break the stud in a parking garage in the middle of the night. Now I have to probably remove the entire wheel hub just to fix. read more

He took 10 minutes to even acknowledge me after he was standing shoulder to shoulder with an elderly couple (who were masked) while he talked on the phone without a mask. I had a 1pm appointment for an oil change. I walk next door to grab lunch and a coffee. I get back around 2pm...my car is still sitting in the parking lot. I sit in the waiting area for another hour before my car is even taken back. What's the point of scheduling an appointment? Once they finally finish at 3:35pm, I go up to get checked out. Asked them for a oil change and for new Windshield wipers after they told me they couldn't do a tire rotation because I needed new tires. After dropping off my car at 8am I did not get a call until 4:30 saying my car was ready. When I arrived they informed me they didn't change my oil because it was to low and was a liability which was not true at all because I checked it myself before I went just out of habit.
