    Purchased one tire on 9/11/23 after buying a full set a few months prior. Unfortunately hit a pot hole on the freeway. Bought the only tire my size in stock. They tried to upsell me on a new set that would be available in a few days but, my tires weren't even 4 months old. I did purchase the recommended hazard warranty for a small fee of $22.72 and said that if anything happened to the tire for 12,000 miles or 12 months they would replace it. It also says on my purchase agreement that I have a 40,000 mile warranty. Today 5/4/24 less than 12,000 miles and less then 12 months I have a blow out on the freeway same tire and have my car towed to the Tire Choice. The man at the counter Herm a fill in assistant manager from Castro Valley store who lied to me and told me his name was Matt ( he is impersonating Matt who I found out is the old manager) views my previous tire purchase and warranty. Says I should have a proration depending on wear. He views the tire, that still would be in good condition minus the blowout since I have only driven about 6,000 miles since the purchase of the one tire. He comes in and tells me I have no coverage because I bought a cheap tire and it's not repairable and he won't warranty cheap tires. I explained it's the tire you guys sold me with a warranty and the only one in stock on 9/11/23. He said my guys here upsell everything their is no way they would have recommend that cheap tire. I had to choose it. The guy who sold you the tire is no longer here and that's probably why. He said he would have never sold me one tire only 2 and a higher grade tire that you get what you pay for. Now this may be true, but it was what they had available and they still sold me a warranty and my tire didn't even last 8 months which is 12,000 miles 1 yr or 40,0000 miles. Which is all clearly stated on my receipt. So they need to honor the agreement. Which I will also attach. He told me that even though I don't need a new front tire on the passenger side I should replace it and buy 2 new front tires at $450 a piece plus tax. I contacted Les Swab next door and they had 2 high end tire brands in stock for $324 and $359 dollars. He went on to tell me I am contacting his competitor that he does not recommend. That they put 4 lug nuts instead of 5 on his car and he is still frustrated and angry and will never use them. This was before he got into the tire business. I am in shock at this point because he thinks I would take his advice after his horrible customer service paired with his lack of care, up charges and refusal to honor the purchase agreement. Before leaving I asked if he could provide me with the store mangers information or the district or area manger. He looked at me with a straight face and said no I can look it up online. I then said so you are refusing to give me the information I need to escalate this experience? Are you the manger? He said no. Another customer walked in for a quote just wanting to know if the tire he needed was in stock. Herm gets out a pen and note pad and wants to write down all their personal information first. Frustrated at his approach he asked can you just give me a quote and to know surprise the tire he needed wasn't in stock. So he left visibly annoyed with his experience with Herm. I then asked again for his Manager's information and after a pause and a straight face he says Matt! He is muttering about how if it was a nail repair he would fix it, but anything else is not covered. I then ask him what is his name. He says Matt! (Which was a lie) his name is Herm. So then your the manager I asked you that earlier. He nods. I was exhausted at this point. I left and called AAA and requested to be towed to any other Tire Facility. Stay away from Tire Choice in Martinez on Alhambra at all costs if Herm is there. Probably one of my worst experiences in life dealing with a Tire facility. My last experience was great with the previous manager. I believe his name was Dave. They desperately need him back! I would have just bought the new tire and waited if he wasn't a dishonest rude individual overcharging for his poor service. I never right reviews, this 1 Star for Herm is a must!

    We love when you get quality service nowadays it's hard to come by. 2nd time here & wanted recommend this shop if you are doing research & need a place. I've got service here and have been served with high quality care. We needed brakes, long story short our brake light when on one day prior so it was a pretty dyer need. Quotes & Estimates are give as per usual. Cecilio Bustillos & Jenner took care of us, (They both deserve a raise btw.) I love to acknowledge the hard work & labor they provided. Even the parts they needed got delivered in the same day. It was estimated to be done by Monday but pleasantly surprised when it was delivered while we were there waiting if that's not quality service I don't know what is. Thanks Tire Choice.

I had to get my front brakes replaced and the spark plugs also. I provided the parts and it was agreeable with alex. So i stopped by on a Friday morning and he completed all the requests in less than 1.5 hours as quoted. As I said I had the parts, however the brake kit wasn't what I ordered as they were for the rear brakes and not the front. No worries Alex agreed to obtain the the correct parts and the agreed quote changed but all for the better. Alex did a great job on my car. Will start to take my vehicle here often. Clean waiting room, clean bathroom, free WiFi and snacks, coffee and water. Found this service center from a Yelp search for oil change and tire rotation and given my experience today for a simple oil change, I would highly recommend Stress-free. Their online booking and consistent communication is excellent. The service manager Rhett was friendly professional, and clear explaining the results of the inspection performed during the oil change service. The inspection report is detailed but easy to understand. I will definitely return for the next scheduled maintenance and consider them for other repairs.

    Scam artists! I had…read more$1600 work of work completed in my car. JACOB - the sales advisor or Store manager was the one that went over the work with me. He said "I don't know how this car is breaking. The brakes are at 0%." I told him to do the work that he deemed necessary or was a safety issue but not the brakes because my husband can do the brakes. When we went to pick up my car he told me the timing chain needed to be replaced that day and that would be another $1900! Not thinking my car was not even worth all of that work, I told him no. Fast forward a few days later my husband bought brakes and went to change them. They were at 55% and didn't need to be changed yet. We took the car another mechanic to double check the work that he said was done. The air filter was not changed. I have pictures of that. The brakes didn't need to be changed, I have pictures of that. The timing chain didn't need to be replaced, it was a lie. He didn't do an oil change or flush. He simply added oil to the existing black oil. I also paid for new lug nuts for the tires, so he charged me full price for used lug nuts?? my car has not been driven so it's clearly visible that they are used. This car takes my kids to school everyday and I was so worried about safety issues. So for them to lie is diabolical. I am disputing all of the work that they said done and I will take them to court if needed! More pictures to come!
