Tire Barn in Muncie used to be my 'go to place.' Not anymore. Their service has significantly decreased over the last few years. Two hours for a scheduled oil change is not acceptable. Their lackadaisical approach to business has cost them my future dollars. read more

Service was nice but it took forever. Not to mention their oil change price is a bit unreasonable. I waited two hours.. for an oil change. That is rather frustrating on its own not to mention the price associated. So I will not be returning and I encourage you to go elsewhere for your oil change or just do it yourself. read more

Normally I only write when I have something positive to say but this business it absolutely the worse for bad attitudes & customers service. Employee attitudes and disregard for appointments while blaming you was consistent durning both my interactions. Today's young man was HORRIBLE. . The If you're 2 minutes past the appointment time they take the walk in first. This was my second appointment as I waited 215 hours for the first to be told (after waiting 2 hours 15 minutes) that I had to come back b/c they were closing in 5 minutes. The EE told me that the manager demands they take a walk in even when they have an appointment scheduled in 5 minutes. So basically it's walk in o only & it's a minimum of 2 hour wait. The frustrating thing is I waited 4 days to get the appointment! Attitude of the EE was to blame me "well I had to take the other person WHILE I WAITED ON YOU" w:as two minutes is long wait & I held 9 minutes on phone when I called to say I would be a couple minutes late. Young man crappy tone & attitude and avoided eye contact. Then acted rudely when I insisted on knowing how long '"a little while" meant. Both EE were busy & he didn't have another EE coming in for 2 hours. So at best it would be 2.5 hours. Then the EE said in a very condescending tone 'have a great day.' when I explained this was the second time they did this. I left & went to Walmart was greeted w/smokes, information & it was $200 cheaper for a better tire brand.... My advice start w:Walmart & AVOID TIRE BARN in Muncie. EE's desperately need customer service training. read more

I went there today with a tire losing air. They were busy and said it would be an hour or hour and a half wait. They quickly got my truck in, found the problem and fixed it within 40 minutes. They went above and beyond to turn a bad situation into a good experience. With customer service taking a back seat lately at most places, this was truly refreshing to see. Thank you! read more

Worst customer service experience I have ever received. I had scheduled an appt for a new set of tires online and scheduled it for 12.26.23 at 6pm. At 9:13am I received a call from the store saying the Cooper tires on promotion I had wanted were not in stock, but they said they had another set of Cooper tires in stock that were similar and still part of the B3G1 promotion. I said great, the guy I spoke to said he updated the info and I would be good to go. I show up at 5:55pm for my appointment only to be told that they had NO Cooper tires in stock. I told the guy working that I had received a call about my appointment and what I was told, and he told me that they DID have those tires, but they sold before my appointment. He went through a list of other tires in stock that I could choose from that were much more expensive, and said "but actually some of these are already spoken for so I can't sell those." So they can't sell tires that are already spoken for. Funny. I was under the impression that the phone call I had received would have meant that the tires discussed were spoken for, but apparently not. I've never received such poor customer service in my entire life. Very unhappy. read more

I needed 4 new tires, they quoted me $400 less than the charge actually was. Then threw in a free oil change, but I had to drive to the Muncie location. There they wouldn't give me a free oil change and said even if they did they would be putting trash oil into my car. The service guys said all the "free brake or oil" promos is trash product that will destroy your car. They then offered an oil change starting at $100. All in all I paid $400 more for a wasted trip to Muncie. read more

I went to the munice location at 8:30 am for a alignment appointmen. was told that no technicians reported to work. was told I could wait to see if any came in or reschedul. so I rescheduled for 2:00pm same day. and when i arrived I was told it would be a 1 to 2 hour wait that I had walkin in front of me. I asked then why do you offer appointments if walk ins take priority. I was then told I could make another appointment or go somewhere else. that is what I call great customer service. Hit a pothole, blow out! Limped to this location in hopes of finding a solution, a new tire. It was mid Friday afternoon and I knew I was hoping for a miracle. They did not have my tire size in stock, however, they were quick to offer to put the spare tire on, wrap the blown out tire and plastic and place it in my trunk. Very friendly staff. I actually had a really good experience. After the week I had they came to the rescue. Jeff was unbelievably friendly on the phone and in person when I got to meet him as I was getting new tires after a blown out tire happened from one of Muncie's ridiculous potholes. I just sat in the lounge for a whole 30 minutes, watched a little bit of Queen Latifah's talk show and the Indianapolis news (Channel 13 to be more exact). However, the other customers there were snotty and obnoxiously pretentious. Like have a conversation or something, ugh. Either way, tire barn gave me a great warranty service on these tires, were able to get me in ASAP and they were some of the most affordable tires I have every bought. Last night I got two new front tires on my car. Brandy at the service counter was prompt with helping me and providing me the options for my tires. The seating area was full of folks getting their tires fixed or installed. There was a bit of a wait, but the wait was worth the price and help Brandy provided. At one time, an angry guest entered and got very irate. Brandy was defending their service and that they take time to fix the tires and it does take a bit longer because of the standards they set. After paying for his tires, the guest stormed off and Brandy apologized for the guest's actions. It did take awhile to get my tires installed, but it was worth the wait and the dedication to great service. read more

My boyfriend and his friend got their tires slashed the previous night so they went to Tire Barn because they had insurance issued on their tires from before. They each dealt with two extremely rude representatives who told them their insurance doesn't cover these tires because "they were stabbed". They offered very little information on what they were trying to offer my boyfriend and his friend after telling them their insurance failed them. It felt like they just wanted money rather than try to remotely help them and find out what was going on. My boyfriend and his friend decided then and there they will never support any Tire Barn and will certainly tell all of their friends and family members to say No, to Tire Barn. read more

I purchased tires here 3 months ago & a month after, the low tire pressure light started coming on & one of my new tires kept getting low. I suspect the tire wasn't installed correctly or they missed something causing a slow leak. Well, despite attempts to keep the tire filled, I woke with an almost flat tire. Unable to afford a tow & living nearby, I choose to drive my car slowly there. Only because I drove on the flat, it was considered a road hazard issue (instead of the slow leak which was the issue in the first place) & on me because I didn't opt into the extra expense of their "Road Hazzard Warranty" (which is apparently necessary to cover faulty materials/installation errors leading to tire failure on the road as well as actual road hazzards). This lead to my having to pay for a new tire less than 3 months after I purchased my last one (for the same wheel). I feel as though their service is of quantity over quality & if they actually back their products/services, their warranty on new tires should cover failure on the road (due to faulty materials/service errors) & it shouldn't come as an extra expense to customers to have an adequate warranty of the product they just purchased. Bought a new set of Michelin tires just over a year ago. I maintain my car at dealer and have rotated tires every 5k miles. Dealer advised me on last visit my tread was very low. Took to Tire Barn, immediately they say they will not honor warranty because I didn't come to them to rotate tires before they even examine car. The tires barely have over 20K and are rated for 60K. Frustrated. With Tire Barn my car is well maintained and feel they are not honoring warranty!!! Be careful and ask a lot of questions if you do buy from them. read more

First let me explain I am an Expeditor. On the road long distance. I went to TB for a low tire and rotation. They rotated my tires front to back, instead of cross rotating. I rotate religiously at every oil change. At no time did they mention I had chopping on the inside edge of my tires. Then all of a sudden they bring it to my attention. Not giving me any explaination of WHY they didn't report this issue at prior rotation 3 weeks earlier. When I got home I observed all four tires and noticed the tire they rotated to the Front Left was lower than others. They left the nail in the tire. I even told them the tire was low. If I can't rely on competent service I will be leaving. Now I know why Rocky and Brandy left. This is not acceptable service. Now I have to spend $1000 on new tires. And guess what else, the chopping of the tire is my fault. They took NO responsibility of NOT reporting an issue to me earlier to save me from having to purchase new tires. So who benefits from Front to Back Roation ? Tire Barn does, When they don't report a tire issue during Rotation, Who benefits? Tire Barn because they benefit financially. I have to go there today and wait a long time again to have the nail removed that they missed. I have been a loyal customer for years and I am seeking a new retailer for Tires. I am way over the risk and financial distress they put me through. read more

This is the second trip here to get lug nuts busted loose. They tightened to 300 psi, when 150 psi is recommended. What would happen if I had a flat on the highway? Would have to be towed. Very unprofessional service and rude comments from the tech that serviced my jeep. Will go to Anderson Tire Barn from now on, Very professional great service there. read more

We have been customers here for some time. When Rocky was manager and before a corporate change we were very satisfied with our tires and service. We have recently experienced poor customer service and a decline in overall store operations. We learned the company had been sold. That seems to coincide with the decline in the business. We have purchased tires here that afford us free changes and some free repair, but we'll be going elsewhere. We don't trust the work here any longer. read more

These guys are some of the rudest guys I have ever encountered. When calling in and asking about a quote on two tires, The man I spoke to was very monotone and showed no interest in answering my questions with heavy detail. I did not necessarily expect a life story but it was just too vague. When I told him that I may be calling them back he replied "alright" and hung up on me, true story. These guys are fantastic. We visited another tire barn location in Indy when we had a flat. We bought 4 new tires and headed home. The next morning we had another flat so we went straight to this location since we live very close. They got us in promptly, were very courteous, and found that we simply needed a new valve stem so that air didn't escape. We were not charged for the service and it only took about 20 minutes. We will definitly be bringing our future tire needs here. read more

I was told it would take 20-30 minutes to patch my tire. I waited 2 1/2 hours while periodically going to the counter to inquire about it. I was ignored, literally. The woman looked at me and turned to her co- worker and began a conversation about another customer's car after I told her people who had entered after me were leaving before me. I will NEVER go there again. This has happened twice before! Once they had finished my car but didn't bother to tell me!
