As expected my life was turned upside down because the mitigation process required the floor to be replaced so you can imagine my daily routines were definitely interrupted. Avoid. They came recommended by an acquaintance and they did an insurance water remediation job for me. Upon returning my furniture they left many cardboard boxes and blankets on an adjacent balcony (ON TOP OF DRAINS) they had no authorization to even access. The boxes and blankets were out of sight so I had no idea they were there until it rained the balcony flooded and it went into the garage underneath the balcony. Everything has been documented and times stamped yet they refused to take any responsibility. Rather than making things right I was forced to go the legal route which was unfortunate and totally avoidable how they've been honorable. TipTop Restoration was doing work on my home when they accidentally broke my two-car garage door. I had been very impressed by their professionalism throughout the work on my home until the garage door was damaged. They had it replaced with a garage door that was similar to my single door, but not an exact match. The door was replaced in January 2025, and I was disappointed that the doors did not match. I won't get into all the details in between. In March 2026, Julie from TipTop Restoration contacted me because she wanted to resolve the unresolved issue I had with TipTop. She truly went above and beyond and arranged to have the single garage door replaced so it would perfectly match the other door. Garbage left outside the door. We took 5 months of asking for a bill to get one. Once we got it and have tired to dispute issues and work billed but not done, radio silence. This company is absolutely horrible, they are charging tens of thousands of dollars to clean after Eaton fire and using LA's finest cleaner from the 99 cent store/dollar tree. I hired them for 3 properties, at the first my parents house I handed them a 13K invoice from the insurance company on what needed to be repaired in person before work started . When they finished all the work they sent us a bill for $85K. They negotiated with the insurance company for months and settled around 40K ( this is important) 2nd house no upfront insurance invoice for repairs , again after completion presented a bill for $80K. This bill was fully paid by my insurance company in July. We then get a new invoice in Sept for &1,500 which says dry cleaning as the title . No dry cleaning occurred in our home. We disputed immediately. The invoice has now gone from dry cleaning, to water damage , to fire structure repair and now to content list creation. (Pick up this story in 3rd paragraph) 3rd house in Altadena for my 90 year old grandmother. Paid 150K lots of smoke and ash damage in the home. The home was a total pack out when items were returned in boxes there was a slight delay to install carpet which was clearly communicated to tip top this in July. Both myself and my insurance company attempted to contact tip top from July thru Oct to complete the job and put all items back into house to no avail they for 1 day on the pack in but were paid for 3 to the tune of 17K . For 3 months they did not return calls leaving the house full of boxes, leaving insurance co to label the job as abandoned. On Oct 7 Joel calls and apologizes for abandoning the job . He also addressed the dry cleaning bill from house 2 and stated our file was all paid up. Joel is now emailing us calling us dishonest thieves attempting to steal his hard earned money. To be clear we are disputing the charge to which no proof has been provided after several requests ( this place takes pictures of everything) . I'm stuck now having to pack everything back into the house by ourselves with no content list showing where things were . Tip top also says that lost the photos taken showing where everything was pulled from. Now I'm being harassed for 1,500 when in house #1 thy settled for 42K on a 80K plus bill . House 3 is filled with boxes , they left hundreds of furniture blankets , old boxes all of the toxic trash from the garage and other areas was left in the driveway causing us to pay for debris removal out of pocket.
