Tipsy Taco is all decorated for Christmas! We ate here at lunch time and there was not a huge crowd and we did not have to have a reservation. They do have fire tables that you can sit at if you have one. The Christmas Cocktails are so good! I loved the choices of tacos and my kids loved the burritos and chips n salsa they serve with your meal. Beautifully decorated. Staff are so welcoming to customers and volunteer to take pics of your group. I loved the inflatables out front. read more

I went back for a margarita. It was good the first time. I didn't order food. I remember it wasn't any good. Now I'm not a fan of booze so a light drink it good. This drink however. Tasted like water, not mix, not lime. Just water. My guess was the shook the drink and gave me the watered down ice with the diluted water. The water taste, should not have been there. We stopped in for the Holiday Pop Up Bar. We wanted to have drinks/eat to start our Fun Festive evening. We did have a Reservation at 4 and upon our arrival the Restaurant was decorated outside for Festive Christmas Spirit. We were greeted and sat within a few minutes, it was not busy when we arrived. The bar/restaurant was decked out in Holiday Fun. We were sat in a booth and our server asked us for our drink order-then brought us out chips and salsa. I started with a beer and queso to go with our chips. My sister ordered the Holiday Mule. We wanted some food to snack on so we shared the Carne Asada Tacos and the Taquitos. The food was fresh, hot and delicious. After our snacks I opted to try the "Tini" which was one of the Holiday Cocktails. It did pick up halfway through our visit, service was ok-our server kind of took a bit to check in on us for water refills and my 2nd Cocktail. This is mine and my best friend second time going to TIPSY TACO!!! Appetizer : Tipsy Taquitos Main Course: Pork Belly & Shrimp Tacos. Extras: Side of Guacamole, and Rice. Drinks: Strawberry Margarita, Watermelon, Crawl, and Strawberry Mango. We also received a fourth drink, but I don't remember what it was called . All our food was amazing except for the rice if you come here, you're gonna order everything but rice the rice taste like it came from one of those microwave pouches and not worth the three dollars. I did not have an experience at this place. the temp outside was 100 degrees in lees summit. My friend was cooking at this place when he suffered a seizure and had to be transported to hospital. There were no fans in this kitchen so you can imagine how hot it was in there. Earlier in my day I came upon a young lady in town who was laying on the ground. She had passed out. Thank God my friend is ok but today he gets a msg that he is fired!! Never had any problems at work. Friends are you here on Thursday and told us they loved it, we came Friday! This is a fun taco joint that has a feel of a little gem you find when vacationing on the Florida coast. They've done a fantastic job decorating for the holiday and even Offer a holiday themed cocktail list. We had chips and salsa to start off with as we consumed our first two drinks. We ordered the white cheese queso and it was creamy good. They offer a variety of tacos and offer them priced for 2 or 3. If you're in the neighborhood it's worth a stop and if you're feeling adventurous I'd suggest you give them a try. Ambiance was beautiful. Plenty of seating and the indoor/outdoor portion was neat. It definitely gives you a cool spot/lake vibe. The menu isn't huge, which is just fine with me if what is offered is done awesome. Really, the selection of apps and street tacos were nice. Chips were salted nicely and salsa was really good. We ordered fried avocado. They were just okay in the seasoning. The crema dipping sauce was just okay. I would've preferred a ranch spin on it. My husband ordered the carne asada tacos. Again, just okay. He said the meat did not have much flavor to it. I ordered the fried fish tacos. I thought the fish was good, sauce was alright, but would have loved some slaw on top of it. Overall, nothing to write home about. However, given today's situation in the world, I'll go back (and update) in the future. But, they have nailed it on the vibe of the restaurant. Went here for cinco de Mayo. At one point the waitress said she needed the chair that we had taken from an empty table. When I asked if she could just take a different chair from the empty table next to us. She said no she needed the chair I was sitting in. What a get away! After eating the Hippie tacos, I tie-dyed all my queso colored clothing so I'd never forget their colorful presentation. The vibe is as cool as the cucumber in the Spicy Garden Margarita. Service is as spicy as the Spicy Tipsy Salsa. read more

Pork belly tacos were A-OK. Service was not over the top but fine. If there was a way to add some sound absorbing material inside the restaurant, it would be awesome. We had a table of LOUD people seated very close to us (all the tables are very close together) and I couldn't have a conversation with the hubs as a couple of the ladies felt they were really funny and wanted to make sure everyone else heard them. They also feature live music and daily drink and food specials. Happy hour is from 3 -6 offering great deals on margaritas, select beers, queso & chips, and other menu items. Parking is a bit tight, but there is plenty of other parking within short walking distance. I recommend getting there a bit early to beat the crowd and enjoy a freshly house made margarita and something from the kitchen, I would definitely recommend the Barbacoa Tacos or the Local Burrito. read more

Lots of space inside and outside. Friendly staff. I had the health nut bowl with carnitas and chipotle sauce. Great flavor with a solid kick thanks to the chipotle sauce. I would ask for the sauce on the side next time, just so I could control how goopy the bowl is, but since I didn't do that, I had to ask for extra chips to balance it. Overall, I would certainly order it again. Their spicy salsa is really good, but as a heads up, it will be an additional $3 charge if you ask for it. Hubby had the Roadkill Burrito and said it was ok. He would probably chose differently next time, but was happy with our decision to have lunch here. read more

This place is cool. I got my food to go so I don't have much experience on the inside but.... I walk inside and being from California this please remind me of Neptunes net on the PCH. The breeze is flowing through from the outside to the inside, there is an outside bar that is essentially underneath the trees in the forest. OK some trees... Not a forest ha ha ha but it's an awesome place. Anyways... Right when I walked I was told welcome. How are you doing? Oh, I want to make an order to go go see someone at the bar and I'll take my order... which was awesome. The young girl that was at the bar helped me out and give me some good recommendations. These shrimp tacos were awesome. Can't really say too much about the flavor ingredients because I don't remember what was in them.... And I got some beef burrito, but I will say. It was refreshing because it wasn't imitating Mexican food. It was its own unique flavors in the chicken. It was very flavorful and tasty. And the shrimp tacos I mean... Pico de gallo guacamole on a tortilla of your choice, but I chose flour. So, from my experience, so far, everybody was friendly, there was an awesome laid-back vibe, the food was tasty... Ordered the Barbie (barbacoa) Nachos. There was a ridiculously small amount of meat on the top. Half of that meat was full of fat. Most of the nacho topping was watery sour cream, some cilantro sprinkled about, bbq sauce and a bit of cheese. Literally the worst nachos I have ever had. The street corn was meh.
