Tacos El Mercadito may not look like much from the outside, but the food is absolutely amazing and the wait is very minimal. We waited less than 10 minutes for two large orders. There is limited seating inside but you can also take your food to go! The tacos are $2, a tamale is $2.50, and a side of rice or a side of beans is also $2. I ordered 2 tacos, a tamale, chips & salsa, and a side of rice for under $14 with a tip. Highly recommend trying the pork tamale! You can also purchase Mexican ingredients and groceries at this restaurant/shop.

I haven't been here in a while, mainly because of Mali Thai being in the same strip. The food, people and prices are exceptional, but come earlier than noon because the it gets packed out quickly. This is my favorite authentic Mexican restaurant/market around. Give it a shot and you won't be disappointed!

Street tacos, 2 Asada, 2 chicken

Service- Pretty good, guy was nice. Speed - lighting fast! I walked in order 4 tacos , 2 asada 2 chicken and I was out of there in less that 5 mins that felt more like 3. Price - pretty fair, what you would expect $2 per street taco Food - crazy fresh & hot, chicken was what you expect, not over seasoned, juicy. Asada I wish it wasn't chopped into smaller pieces like ground beef but overall very flavorful Restaurant - not necessarily the place I would go sit down with the family, it's small. Seems like it also serves as a small grocery store for authentic Mexican foods. We most likely will return. This definitely fixed our street taco cravings

Gordita and sope. Clean fast friendly. We both enjoyed our food it was fresh and very good quality. Sauces were very good. . There is an area for eating in but we were doing carry out. Has a little grocery area if you are looking for seasonings for your favorite authentic recipe. Prices were reasonable.

Tongue taco, been tostada and chicken tamale.

Found this amazing little hole in the wall for some great authentic Mexican food. Great prices for great food. My late step father was Mexican and he kind of made me a picky Mexican food snob. He would have liked this place.

We barely touched them. I ordered the Lunch Fried Tacos. LOADED with tender ground beef, delicious queso. ¡My husband ordered the Lunch Popeye Enchilada it was magnífico! Lots of flavors involved. Nice temperature and an eye appealing plating. I will never understand when the Spanish rice at EVERY Mexican restaurant is nothing more than white rice with zero flavor. The recipe in my Better Homes and Gardens cookbook has a much better version! Bacon, onions, green peppers and canned tomatoes. Next time, I'll ask to omit it from my plate. #btw - the two tacos were bastante. Fulfilling and satisfying. Our server was muy bello and delivered wonderful, attentive service.

They have really tasty frozen lime margaritas (and a wide selection of other flavors and choices). The restaurant is decorated very nicely - ornate wood work, wide open Spaces for larger parties, and plenty of TV's to watch the game. I ordered a dish with shrimp, chicken, steak, and bacon over a bed of rice with queso. It was amazing! Chips are thin and crispy. Salsa is a little on the spicy side (in a good way). Definitely recommend supporting this local establishment.

We got the value pack 'Free Espinaca Con Queso' coupon in the mail and decided to stop in for lunch. In our return, we were surprised with the quality of the food and drinks. I'm a sucker for quality chips and salsa/queso and was very pleased. We got the Carnitas Chimichanga and the Creamy Morita Steak Enchiladas (replaced the original Creamy Steak Enchiladas). The Carnitas Chimichanga was great. Comparing the Morita vs original creamy steak enchiladas, I liked the original better but it was still good. As for the drinks, the Jose Rocks margarita and Sangria Swirl were both really good. If you want authentic, full on Mexican food, this might not be what you want. It's advertised as Tex-Mex and it was. The flavors were really good and we will be returning, mostly because that free queso slaps lol.

We sat on the patio today which was really nice, had good service and the food was fine. It's pretty inexpensive as well. I had the lunch combo plate. The taco was super crunchy and not soggy at all. And the cheese enchilada was okay, it had yellow cheese in it which I would have preferred white.
