Cute little place off the beaten path. I'm not all that adventurous when it comes to Mexican. Give me beef street tacos with flour tortillas AND a margarita and I'm good. Went to this tiny Mexican place and it was delicious! Nothing bad to say, just didn't woo me away. Love that the street tacos are double tortilla-ed and come with beans & rice. Second time visiting this place and all I can say is that the food is amazing, having lived in the Mexico I can confirm the food is authentic, the tamales oaxaqueños just transport me back to Chiapas. Don't forget to order their delicious horchata. Service is nice and fast! read more

After reading all the reviews we couldn't wait to try this place. Maybe it was built up a bit much or maybe I'm just not a fan of authentic food? We had the beef tacos, picadita's, Gordita, and quesabirria and none of them had much flavor at all. The place is super clean and staff was friendly. I like the uniqueness of the food! It's fresh and delicious and unlike any other Mexican food I've had in Lee Summit or surrounding area. I see this food truck floating around on occasion as I've been out running errands and decided to stop by for a try. The people who worked in the truck were so freakin nice and positive and excited to be there which reminded me of a time I lived in LA for a spell and ate out of taco trucks there. Ah yes the good ol LA taco truck days... this truck brings me back. Their food is a tad on the pricier side when compared to the normal taco truck in LA but that's not a complaint from me at all. I ordered a sampler dish and they were done pretty quickly - so yay not that much waiting for me. On my plate I also had a chicken tamale - which I was initially craving at the time I ordered. We picked up some pork tamales because I wanted to serve them with some homemade pozole I had made and they were great! The masa is a flavorful, which can be hard to find sometimes. I asked for them cold so I could warm them up the next day and they were happy to oblige, plus they gave me sauces to take home, yum. Two days later I wrapped them in paper towels (still in the husk) and lightly microwaved them until hot and they were still terrific, which tells you they've got something really good going on. Oh yeah, there was plenty of meat in the tamales as well! You know you don't find that everywhere. The staff was so friendly, and I will definitely be back to try out more of their menu! read more
