If there's one thing that teenage girls will always get excited for, it's ice cream, chocolate, and fudge. We saw the Kilwins and had to come in. Beautiful store. Crisp, white, bright, clean, goodies displayed everywhere. It was really hard picking out what you wanted from the hundreds of available treats. Service was great. Very friendly folks who knew a lot about their wares and helped guide me to what the best choice was for me. I got some sort of buckeye and a Dubai chocolate fudge or something. Whatever it was, it was absolutely delicious. High quality chocolate that melted in your hands if you didn't eat it fast enough. Presumably that means there were less preservatives in there. I can dig that. The visit it was quick, but it was lovely. Pensacola never used to have quality places like this, but I guess my little old hometown is growing up. I'm glad to see it.

Pros: Ambiance was good, bright, clean, and those display…read morecases are absolutely mesmerizing, so full of goodies. Service was very good. Super friendly people who had lots of good recommendations on what to get. The goodies themselves are absolutely decadent and delicious. Fudge, candies, ice cream, it's all good. Cons: None. Just be ready, you'll pay a premium. Tips: Get everything, but don't get the same thing twice. Branch out a little.

We don't usually head east from our hotel, but we did this morning to try Cafe Bistro. Overall, the…read moreexperience had some positives, but there are a few areas that could be improved. If iced coffee is listed as an option, it would help if the staff were more familiar with how to prepare it. Our server had to come back and ask for clarification, and what I received felt more like a flavored iced coffee with a shot rather than a true iced double espresso. I also had to add my own cream, which made it seem like hot coffee might be more their specialty. The food itself was solid, though a bit on the pricey side. The scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, and toast were decent. The poached egg with salmon on grilled eggplant and arugula was tasty, and the home fries were a standout--unexpectedly excellent. Service was attentive and kind throughout, which I appreciated. However, the wait time after ordering was noticeably long, and there was a 3% convenience charge for using a debit card, which was noted on the receipt. I don't typically give less than 4 stars, but this feels like a place that could easily improve with some small adjustments.

The flavors are sharper & the milkfat is lower and it's a rather fantastic experience. Lamonte shares space in the historic Sacred Heart Hospital building and there is ample space in or out at which you can enjoy your treats. This small business has won 'Best on the Coast' awards and you can absolutely see why! Gelato is almost fluffy, it seems creamier without the cream, and the combinations can seem endless. They even have a variety that is Olive Oil & Fig, which was sampled by a member of our party and deemed fantastic. Our shared cup of Salted Caramel & Double Chocolate did not last long, and when served with a waffle cone wafer, it made for the perfect union. A small cup, in which you can mix up to two flavors, runs you $5.50, and the larger cup will run you $6.50, making it super-affordable for this artisanal approach to a wonderful delight. Lamonte even puts together a fabulous coffee/drink menu, so there is just about something for any time of day. Pro tip: try an Affogato, a delight of espresso over vanilla gelato. The staff is friendly and certainly willing to suggest something for gelato rookies, and you can see why this brand is exceptionally proud of its product.

I ordered a personalized ice cream cake for my son's 8th birthday party. I went into the store to…read moreplace the order four days in advance. It was clean and tidy and decorated as you would expect a chain ice cream place to be decorated. Before leaving, I made sure the young lady taking the order had all the details correct, and she did. When I arrived to pick up the cake, it was missing the toppings I had requested to decorate the top of the cake. No problem, the girl working that morning fixed it pretty quickly. She brought it back out and asked how it looked now. I said great, and started to leave, just then I noticed it said "Happy 18th Birthday" not "Happy 8th Birthday." Please fix this... they did and they double checked the order, it was supposed to say 8th. The cake itself was good. A little on the pricey side, and with all the snafus that happened I can't rate Marble Slab better than three stars. I think we'll return and try some ice cream in the future when we can see how they rate for real time service.

In hindsight should've added some more toppings. We also got a vanilla bean, which was alright! The staff was friendly and helpful in answering my questions as a first timer. Would return and try out some other combos and maybe prepare what I'm getting before going! Indoor and outdoor seating available- thought for fairly packed Sunday evening/ night.
