The Twist Custom Ice Cream in Navarre, FL is a very cute local ice cream shop. They have been in Navarre for decades and have a wide variety of flavors and options. The shop has amazing covered seating and simply great family-friendly vibes! The service is also fast and friendly!

It's just across the bridge from the beach, and there's plenty of parking if you count the next door building. The menu is large, creative, and shifts regularly. I got a gigantic banana split with three flavors of choice and three toppings, and just gratuitously went for everything. My banana split came over some banana pieces rather than an actual whole banana split in two. The ice cream was tasty, but not up there with the best premium places. But for less than $10 with tip, it was a heck of a dessert. They did have some dairy-free options, and they kept the line moving fairly fast, and I don't think there is much danger of them ever not being busy.

Hands down the best ice cream around! We have been going there since it opened in Navarre eons ago. It has changed owners at least once and now it's only outdoor seating but it's still the same good ice cream. I don't know why their soft serve swirls are so good. What makes it stand out from other ice cream places but it really does. Definitely an iconic place in your little Navarre. read more

Good ice cream. Quick and friendly service. Easy to find even though it wasn't on the beach front. Highly recommended by locals as far as affordable & a shop that has a variety of options. My only complaint was when at dark (the time we went) the sitting area was very dark. With the business not being on the main road it just seemed as though it would have had better lighting for a more safe/inviting area. Stopped here after leaving the beach. I didn't get anything but I didn't hear any complaints. Nice little ice cream shop, no drive thru, you have to walk up to the window and order like the old days. In the area visiting family and saw this place along the road! We liked it so much we came twice in the same week!!! The cookie dough was delicious, along with the cake n batter!! Good prices, decent size parking lot, convenient location and quick customer service. The Mexican Hot Chocolate was fantastic! Decadent chocolate, squishy marshmallows and the perfect hint of spiciness. I also tried the Butterscotch which I wasn't a huge fan of as it resembled more of a caramel taste/texture than butterscotch, but I'd still come back for more. They have shaded bench seating, good for groups, and they do take credit cards. We'll be back! read more

Went there twice during the week my wife and I were in the area recently. The first time I got 3 scoops - butter pecan, chocolate and strawberry. The scoops were so big I had to eat down through the first 2 before being able to sample the 3rd. The butter pecan was very good but I found the chocolate just so-so. The star of the 3 though was the strawberry - absolutely wonderful. Ever had this flavor and found it hard to find a strawberry? Well, this was the opposite - strawberries galore! My wife found the coffee so good she had it at both visits. I opted for a strawberry shake. The prices are reasonable - much better than our local Baskin Robbins. If you're in the area and hanker for ice cream. Go here first. I'm confident you'll like it read more

Had to come back a second time on our trip. It was interesting to me that the list of flavors was quite a bit different than when we were here just a couple days before! Either they switch them out often or they go thru a lot of ice cream. My guess is the latter! Today we got the elephant ear, c is for cookie and the banana cream pie. The elephant ear was really good, it had peanut butter swirled thru it as well as a lot of chips of chocolate. C is for cookie was pretty good as well. It is basically vanilla ice cream colored bright blue and has cookie pieces in it. My daughter loved it! The banana cream pie is not too bad either. It has a nice banana flavor along with pieces of pie crust mixed in. Overall today's ice cream stop was great! read more

We went two nights in a row because they got you through the line so quickly and the ice cream was great! Two kids had to use the bathroom and they had one that was very clean. We love the picnic table so you can relax and enjoy yummy ice cream. The employees were very efficient and polite! Well return next year no doubt! read more

My family and I stop by this nice little ice cream shop every time we are in the area. They have definitely added on throughout the years but the service and sweets have always always hit the spot for us. She said the was the one who picked the raspberry for the employee top choices and made me one of those. You guys. There were no weird chemically flavors, the ice was just right so it stayed frozen but not unwieldy to eat, the added cream was a great surprise, and honestly I didn't feel like I had a sugar crash after. I'm mad I'm not local to this little spot, but also it's probably good I'm not. I loved that there were also sugar free and dye free options clearly marked on the menu for those of us with specific needs. I would totally come back again if I found myself over that way!

The local shops didn't have anything like that, so I resorted to Dunkin'. They had what I wanted, but for what you get, it's a little over-priced. Staff were friendly enough, though it wasn't fast. While the group ahead of me was getting a large order filled by one person, two other people seemed to be lingering around waiting for drive through orders (instead of helping). Then, when it was my turn, I had to wait for some scheduling gossip to finish before being helped. While not horrible, time-wise, I would think focusing on the customer first would be ideal. The donuts are fine. But I'd rather spend my money at local mom-and-pop shops where the prices are similar, but the donuts are way better.

Not very happy people, they all seem to hate everything. It was a new experience for sure but we definitely won't be back. They definitely need to update the food. The ambiance of the walls and cleanliness was good but I would rather have better food than pretty walls.

DO NOT APPLY here if you plan on being out of town. My son was called for an interview but was out of town and when we called back to schedule the interview they actually said "we dont have time for people to be out of town" how messed up. I am also reporting them to the EEOC for the comment. I am actually a District Manager of a food chain in the area and I have never heard of any business telling child that. I will also be ure to spread the word to the public about this place. I actually feel sorry for the kids that do work there if they want to go out of town for a day or two. Now I say I did get a cone or two with my honey darlin' and lemme tell ya, son, their delectable frozen treats were simply dee-vine! The missus got a Garbage Can in a cup and it was not I say it was not no garbage! However, the tables were out of doors and quite sticky. Highly recommended! Five stars! read more

This place is amazing. I've only lived here for a few years now but this is the best ice cream spot in town. They have a great system on taking orders and the lady at lunchtime is super friendly and helpful. My family enjoys coming here often. read more
