We came here when we vacationed in Navarre last week. Service was very friendly and the students behind the counter were knowledgeable and fast! They have a million and one flavors, so there is surely something for everyone. I'll be honest, I don't get the whole condensed milk on top of shaved ice thing. I tasted my friend's and thought it was gross! I'm not sure how that even became a thing. To be blunt, I have a long standing blasé opinion on snow cones and similar types of frozen treats. I think maybe some weird childhood experience with that gross ass chemical flavor and too big size of ice chunks influenced me for way too long. Tommy's might have made me reconsider this category altogether though. I was in the area and saw the shack on the side of the road and mentally bookmarked it for when I left the beach. Before you even get to the ordering area, they have this massive sign with more flavors and categories of snowballs than I knew was even possible. I thought I made my decision. Then I waited in line behind a couple people and saw even more flavor combos and concoctions on even more signs. I was a lost cause. I narrowed it down to two and asked the gal if she had to pick between the key lime pie and the raspberry cheesecake which she would suggest. She said the was the one who picked the raspberry for the employee top choices and made me one of those. You guys. There were no weird chemically flavors, the ice was just right so it stayed frozen but not unwieldy to eat, the added cream was a great surprise, and honestly I didn't feel like I had a sugar crash after. I'm mad I'm not local to this little spot, but also it's probably good I'm not. I loved that there were also sugar free and dye free options clearly marked on the menu for those of us with specific needs. In August I was visiting FL for the first time, and Snowballs weren't what I was expecting to find while leaving Navarre Beach. Being used to those in New Orleans, I was somewhat skeptical but curious. What would these Floridian snowballs be like? The menu was lengthy with a lot of interesting choices--many with three or more flavors combined to make something unique. I chose the key lime pie which I believe was lime, coconut, and vanilla. Seemed like the kind of flavor that would either be delicious or nauseating, and luckily it was the former. This was easily as good as any New Orleans snowball! Everyone LOVES Tommy's Snowballs. Best lookin little snowball place I have ever seen. It's adorable. It's just a tiny little shack on side of the road on the bay side of Navarre beach but It's always packed. It's a super cute place with lots of photo ops & IG worthy areas to take a great pic. There is a swing there & lots of colorful picnic tables & umbrellas. Very cool little beachy shack. The menu is huge! It's all sugar so just pick a funny name & get your sugar high on! I was surprised to see sugar free ones on the menu this time & my nephew M wanted to Try the sugar free "Tigers Blood" one. I tried it with him, it was still very sweet, too sweet for me, but M, my nephew loved it. :)) My brother was feelin the unicorn one with the marshmallow cream on top. I thought it was awful as I do not like too much sugar. He loved it. This place is SO CUTE! You can't miss it when in Navarre, it's a colorful sno ball shack you have to hit before going over the bridge to the beach. Old-skool Navarre here. Tommy's is a cornerstone of our community. They have more combinations of snow-cones than is imaginable. What's so amazing to me are the ladies working there. They have memories like I've never seen. our last visit, one girl took six different orders in specific colors of cups and nailed it 100%. Came here during sunset expecting to wind down from a day at the beach and park. The teenage girls serving the Snoballs kept messing up our orders. We ordered a small Spider-Man, medium Crab Legs, and large Mango Tango. First, they gave us the wrong size. She put the Mango Tango in a small cup instead of large. Okay. Easy fix. Then another girl messed up both of our other flavors."Spider-Man" is supposed to be blueberry and strawberry... very distinguishable. She gave us a "Batman" (banana & grape), which she totally corrected because our son was determined to get that Spider-Man, lol. That's the only reason why I'm giving this place two stars... because they fixed 2 out of 3 of our drinks. However, I'm the one that requested the "Crab Legs" (strawberry with ice cream), but I got a mix of strawberry and a yellow flavor. No ice cream inside. At that point, I'm just like whatever. I'll take it. *insert eyeroll emoji here* When we finally tasted it..... ugh. Disappointing. I'm from Hawaii where shave ice is a popular dessert too. I'm also Asian... where Japan, Korea, and the Philippines also have shaved ice desserts (kakigori, bingsu, halo halo). Snoballs do not compare. I get it. It's "different" from the Asian counterpart, but I've been to New Orleans several times and their snoballs there are 100x better. Not to forget... we get to add toppings to it like condensed milk! Tommy's should really consider hiring better qualified candidates to serve the snoballs or educate them properly. Also, it would be awesome if they let customers add toppings too! Conclusion: If you want to eat a ball of ice full of artificial flavors and sugar and rainbow colors, this is your place to go. read more

For a snow cone place, I was pretty impressed! Tommy's is a New Orleans style snow cone place and has more flavors than you can shake a stick at! They will also combine flavors to make lovely creations such as "The Princess" which is a combination of cake batter and pink cotton candy. They even have sour flavors and clear flavors and for a little more, they will add cream or chocolate. They are super convenient, right next to the Navarre Beach bridge. They have a sandy area with plenty of picnic tables and umbrellas. There is also a porch style swing and a covered area in case it rains or the sun is too much. But the best part about this place is the cost. An X-large is $4.00 and a Jumbo is $5.00. read more
