My husband and I were looking for a place to go have a couple of drinks, some food and watch the football games being that it was Sunday and we were in town celebrating my birthday. We walked by and saw the Sunday ticket sign advertised outside and decided to stop in and check it out. So glad we did! The drinks were good. Tipsy Putt: Where the drinks are strong and so is my likeability. So I hit up Tipsy Putt, the glorious mashup of mini golf, cocktails, and vibes - and let me tell you, I LIKED it. Almost as much as everyone there clearly liked me. I'm not saying I was the life of the party, but if there was a trophy for "Most Likeable Person," I would've been holding it in one hand and a margarita (thanks Kyle) in the other. Speaking of Kyle - Absolute legend. The man poured drinks with the confidence of someone who knows he's everyone's favorite (next to me). The course itself? Equal parts fun and emotionally humbling. The food was good but bummed that they were out of a lot of beers. There are games throughout the building too. Kind of disappointed in our first visit. Friends and I decided it might be fun to meet up there for Taco Tuesday and some mini-golf. Got off to a bad start while I was waiting for my friends. My friends arrived and we went in. The staff were friendly. After getting some details on the system, the layout and the rules, we ordered. Had to order food and drinks separately at the counter. No food allowed on the actual golfing area, but beverages are welcome. They have a nice selection of beers, but since I was planning to drink wine later in the evening, I went that route. They had two red wines on tap--a Pinot Noir and a Cab. I went with latter. Nothing awful, but I probably should have gone with beer. One friend ordered a margarita. No "regular" ones available--just fruit flavors (pre-mixed). Only *some* of the tacos are available as part of the three for $10 Tuesday special--no surprise there. I ordered two chicken tikka tacos and potato soyrizo taco. My friends ordered a variety of tacos. We chose a seat in the largely empty, big, echoey venue. And waited. And waited. Finally, one friend got up to order another drink and check on our food. Close to half an hour after ordering, we were hungry, and what do we find out? Our order didn't go through. Not only that, but we had to order--and pay--again! The guy who took our order was very apologetic but didn't offer us any discounts, a free round of drinks...nothing. We were just kind of stunned. When our food finally came out, I didn't find it to be anything special. Neither the chicken tikka nor Soyrizo potato tacos had flavors that popped. The crema or raita on the chicken tacos dulled most of the other flavors (except fi the jalapeño slices), and neither variety of taco had any crunch or texture. This place is so much fun! We actually visited twice while in Monterey because we had such a great time. Good local beer and surprisingly really tasty food as well. The bartenders are easy going and friendly and there's plenty of games available to play upstairs. Downstairs there's another bar, mini golf, beer pong, and a big connect four board. It was decorated really cute for Valentine's Day but I imagine this place is fun year round and a great spot for dates or a night with friends. read more

This place won't last very long. I came in, and there's no host. The food is okay, but very overpriced. The music is so loud, and it's all TikTok songs. They don't accept cash, and they won't direct you to an ATM; they just look at you with a sad, sorry face. The employees were unattentive and seemed understaffed. The food can be hit or miss but nothing special either way around. Most people that I know of come here for a good time and the food is just an extra on the side. They offer a good selection of beers and even with the long lines, the staff is respondent. The basement putt is fun and the walk down can be tricky depending on how much one's had to drink but overall the atmosphere in here was very cozy. They can also make mixed cocktails and they don't skimp on the alcohol, so plus a star for not being cheap with their drinks. I've been here twice within the past few months alone for a work functions and just stopping by at random. I did notice one time that the staff was not quite as attentive as my other visits but totally understandable considering it was very packed house and a long line of customers waiting to order drinks. I think it's really good for families? There were far more children than I expected for also having a bar. I would say also that price wise that's rather expensive for the mimosa deal they have, their mimosas are very weak. I would say if you just order drinks and want to play putt, have money to spare and don't mind some children again, it might be the place for you. We were on vacation to Monterey and looking for something to do and Tipsy Putt came up. We were intrigued with their version of mini golf and a late night happy hour. We decided to check it out and instantly fell in love with place. With the downstairs being indoor mini golf and the upstairs being the bar/restaurant/and a game that was a combination of mini golf, shuffle board, and pool, we were there for 3 hours. We weren't planning on eating but ended up have the trio Mac and cheese and fries and it was amazing. We got to play as many games as we wanted due to the amazing happy hour and cocktails were half off and strong! Overall an amazing time and Kyle was so helpful and made our experience even better. We are so bummed that this place is only in Northern California, hoping this comes to SoCal soon. Better than virtual golf by a landslide. A must do experience. read more

I went here for the first time last night with a group of friends, and it was so much fun! They had a great selection of drinks, with bars on the ground level and in the basement. The one thing that that I noticed over and over again was that each of us was raving over how great the food tasted! Everyone loved their food. The games are also very fun. Family friendly (until 7pm anyway), super kind staff, and great food. This was my first time at Tipsy Putt, and I went to represent the charity that I work for during their Sunday FUNDday. I could not have been more impressed with the staff. My 12 year old volunteer (my daughter) had a blast playing 1-2 Putt, and can't wait to come back to play mini-golf in the very near future. The venue was clean, every single person I spoke with was super friendly, and the drinks looked amazing (I'll try one next time when I'm not working). One of the "order ready" texts didn't get to me while I was there, but a staff member noticed that it had been a little while since I ordered, and he followed up for me, without me even asking. I am always impressed with businesses that create a way to give back to their local community, and Tipsy Putt does this so well. They donate $1 for every beer and every game of mini golf sold EVERY SUNDAY, rotating charities throughout the year, and this simple model is making a big difference for local charities. We arrive around 9:30 and the door is locked. There are people inside, but the door is locked. The staff SEE us and make no moves to communicate with us. We finally get in when other customers are leaving. (They tell us "oh yea it's open") Once we get inside the bar tender tell us that they just had last call... which is fine. This place was a pretty big letdown. Going on a holiday- Valentine's Day no less- this place had only 2 employees working. The whole mini golf area is in this dark basement that looks like it was decorated by Temu. There were empty glasses and messed literally everywhere. For two people it was $45. Some very simple updates and changes could make this place a million times better. Some of the holes for golfing were so dimly lit you couldn't even see where the hole was. Several of the holes were almost identical, and there were only 9 holes- very odd. All of the holes just had kegs randomly placed on the course as "obstacles" but literally nothing fun or interesting. They market it was kid friendly- but I wouldn't necessarily want my kids hitting balls around kegs. Dirty, messy, overpriced... go anywhere else! read more

There are 2 separate lines for food and drinks. I like how this place actually brews some of their own beers while selling other beers. If beer isn't your forte, they do sell cocktail drinks too! The tacos are a little small, so instead I'd highly recommend the small pub sized nachos as it can feed up to 4 people. Late night on Fridays and possibly Saturdays around 10 PM, the downstairs area turns into a DJ dance club vibe, but if your not that type of person that likes loud music the main floor above is more of chill vibes and plenty of indoor or outdoor space to enjoy a conversation with someone. read more
