Great tables, good management, and definitely a locals experience. They have league here and they also run some of their own tournaments. While we were here at one point all the tables were full but it didn't feel crowded. They definitely run the place and interact with you with a local feel. read more

Great place to come and have a little fun with friends or a date. The place is ok but lots of tables and if you come early there's lots of table available. Bartenders are quick and friendly. Wouldn't say this place is fancy or clean. Woman's bathroom smells like the men's sexy door. read more

I love shooting pool here, the bartenders are bad @ss and always friendly. Dart area gets a bit crammed during league, but the ambiance makes up for it. They don't sell food but you're allowed to bring food inside. You guys rock, keep up the great work! read more

Great hangout spot for shooting pool, meeting up with friends or for a casual date night! The staff was helpful and friendly when we stopped by on a chill Wednesday night, and the good vibes and music were flowing. Try some of their local craft beers on tap or grab a cocktail to enjoy while you shoot some pool; there are plenty of tables and you pay by the hour. I'm no pool aficionado, but they seem to have a nice setup. I'd definitely come back to play again. read more

All I could have asked for and more! Very friendly staff who seem enthusiastic about their job-- chatting with the regulars. Well-kept Dart Boards certified for league play, $5 per hour which is very reasonable. Great drinks and great recommendations by the bartender, reasonably priced. Good vibes overall. Great billiards spot! The facility was super clean and the billiards tables were awesome! Great vibe and had a blast hanging out and playing several games of pool. The beers were super reasonably priced and various selections. The prices were absolutely reasonable! The staff was super friendly and courteous; JJ (Jonathan) was extremely friendly! Went here after our anniversary date night, it was really fun playing the shuffleboard. Nice service, kind people, and just really fun environment. Unfortunately we got here right after dinner, so we didn't try any of the food. However, given our dinner experience was horrible (we went to Melville's Tavern), going to Easy Street Billiards made our overall night a little better. read more

A very fun place to go! The price wasn't bad for a table and they have a lot of nice beer available. They charge per person instead of for the table, but I think for 1 hour of pool and 1 beer it was a little over $30, which wasn't too bad. read more

Came by on a Friday night at 10:00, only to be met with a rope/chain as soon as we walked in. I assumed it was in place so someone could check ID's.... No... it was there to PREVENT people from coming in! They were at "capacity ", which was complete bullshit! The building is huge and for the bartender to assume that I wanted to only play pool is just bad business practice. I understand if the pool tables were occupied, but to not let anyone in at all is ridiculous! Never again read more

Really nice billiards hall. You pay by the hour to play. They serve beer and wine and just got there liquor license. I look forward to seeing if they get a proper bartender and how they'll utilize it. They also have a cigar humidor here and a smoking room, will have to check this out at another time. Lots of tables, standard and bar size. Nice sticks and nice equipment in general. They have leagues here also that are just starting up for the new season. It was packed on this Tuesday evening. They also play some great music here. It can get a little loud in here. Parking is really limited out front but it's free and unlimited after 6pm. read more

This place is poppin! My friends and I made a last minute decision to go in for a few rounds of pool on a Friday night. We called just before driving over and the woman on the phone said she'd set up two tables for us. When we walked in, both tables were ready to go! We gave her an ID to hold while we played and she came by a few times while we did to ask if we needed anything else to drink too. They have plenty of space and great music. NOT SAFE FOR WOMEN BEWARE!!! Disappointed to be writing this review, I have been to this bar several times and tonight while using the restroom I noticed the mirrors and the positioning of them and something was off, there is a bolted mirror on the rear wall as well as a bolted mirror on the door, the mirror above the sink IS NOT bolted, the mirrors are positioned directly at the toilet, I tried several times to remove the mirror so I could see if there was a possibility of someone being able to watch from the other side, and there is no way to see completely behind the mirror but from my THOROUGH inspection the mirror is bolted at three points, the top two corners and the bottom middle, I found a break in the drywall behind the mirror on the right side and on the back wall, this is assault and this is illegal for ANY business to do, I asked the FEMALE bartender and she immediately was uncomfortable and tried to come up with a reason that the female mirrors are bolted in a venerable position while the mens restroom mirrors are completely UNBOLTED and presumably safe, I will be reporting this to a local officer as well as the Better Business Bureau, this is a human rights violation as well as a violent act of assault, WOMEN BE WARE PLEASE DONT GO HERE!!!! If you do please please use the male restroom, it is not safe, there is a door the leads behind the bathroom look near the vending machine, please be SAFE AND STAY AWAY from this establishment!!!!! read more

Easy Street is my bar! The vibe is fun, pool tables are great and the bartenders are awesome. Some have issues with them but it's because they want to get messed up and the bartenders care about the whole atmosphere. I appreciate how they look out for the people that come and drink. I had 9 ball tonight and the bartender Josiah knows I have a breathalyzer in my car so he cared enough to walk me and see if I could drive. When I barely missed .08, he said just come and hang out with us...all about safety! I appreciate this extra care. I took a walk for food but still super cool! read more

WOW & 5* Don't NEARLY do this place justice!!! Was in town last week for 'Monterey Car Week' with a buddy who likewise enjoys shooting pool between events. called & James & Nancy were Over-The-Top accommodating. #1- Place is IMMACULATE- Compared to ANY pool hall I've been in, QUITE the step up! 7' & 9' tables abound, plenty of music, refreshments & FAIR prices. Made to feel like Regulars, NO PRETENSE here, Honestly the MOST fun in awhile. WISH it a=was closer to home, but will DEFINITELY put this on the map of "RETURN" spots. Clack them balls! Baby this place is a real gas. I mean, hot jamming tube steaks this is the real deal kids. No squares allowed - douche bags on the other hand... Now I like a good throat burning hooch once in awhile, but kids this place is the real dapper smoke box and stick farm. Buddies and dames all pushing that wood rod on out to make the round glossies clack and roll baby. Man, I was in a real mood this night, a real show of Aces on High! And forget the old feather and needle crowd. Those roustabouts are all tossing the sharp beaked birds at the old round wall lady. I was floored and not in a good way. Too many bad memories of meg-pump me up shots and my daddies little leather pouch. The gentlemen's calmer he called it. It was heroin. So I'm swilling down the brew-skies and KA-POW my gut lurched and it was good bye red tags and hello Jackson Pollack. That's right, the pool table was my frame and regurgitated dumpster stew my medium. Baby I was on fire. I duck shuffled on to the exit and made my fare thee well. Nice atmosphere, friendly people, good drinks and all around great place. We went here multiple nights and played for 2-3 hrs. It was a group of 4 and we had no issue getting a table. Arrive early as I know later in the evening a waitlist begins after about 10pm on Friday and Saturdays, since it's a great spot and prices are great. read more

If you like to chillax and play some pool this is your spot. My high school holds an annual reunion here and I've hit this place up on several occasion. Friendly service and a good time around. They have old school snacks like nacho cheese over corn chips and they serve some beer on tap. I stopped in tonight and realized that this place looks super clean, well run and is very welcoming. It's a great player's pool hall. There's twelve 9-foot tables covered with Simonis and clean and shiny Aramith Super Pro balls, making things fast, especially for what I'm used to playing on. The house cue I used was in fine condition too. I went on Thu night when they run a weekly handicapped tournament. $10 lifetime membership plus $10 entry fee. Warm up time 6:30-7:00pm and then the tournament starts. I think it was a 32 player single elimination bracket but with buy-backs to fill it out (so if you lose early and there's still a spot left, you can buy back in to the tournament). I guess I made it to the quarterfinals which got me my entry fee back. I'm not sure what the payout is like farther up the standings since I didn't stick around. Everyone there was really nice, the bartender/hostess, the tournament director, and all of the players. As the evening went on, some small crowds started filling up the other tables. It made for a great atmosphere. If you're there for the alcohol, it's only beer. There's a good selection of non-alcoholic drinks too and plenty of fried stuff on the menu. Wish I would have had more time to hang out there. read more

I took our after Thanksgiving group of 30 here and had a fantastic experience. ESB gave us the end of the room, which included five pool tables, shuffleboard and the dart room. The employees made sure that we had a good time and got everything that we needed. If you're in Monterey, I highly recommend ESB as a great spot to spend time with friends. read more

This place is great! Nice full size tables, great cold draft beer selection and a friendly staff all for a reasonable price. Good entertainment for the dollar in my opinion. Oh & the bartender doubles as the local sportscaster on TV (She rocks!) :-) I really really really wish they would put in a soft-tip dart board though! (just one would be great as I would use it to fill the time until I am up again on the tables) read more

I was in town for two days and one of the nights I decided to pass by. The place is located in a nice area, but parking was a little confusing for an out-of-towner like myself. There were like three "don't park here during these times" on the street where we parked. I felt like there was a chance we were going to be towed, but the only option is street parking, so we did the best we could. The place itself is very comfortable. It has plenty of pool tables, a jukebox, three dart boards (with limited darts), plenty of seating and a bar. It's a little pricey to play pool and to use the jukebox, but it was a night well-spent. It's also open pretty late, so that was nice too. Nearby there were places where you could eat, drink and dance. Great place to hangout and the patrons were very welcoming. read more

I went here last Friday with some friends and really enjoyed it. We had a table in the middle, so despite being almost packed, we had enough space to comfortably play. The music was great and singing ensued. This is going to sound a little weird- but I think I had the best cup of coffee I've had while there. You can ask them- I drank three cups! Definitely will be going back soon. read more

I love this place! Really friendly people, both customers and staff. Their hourly rate is sorta high, but if you're looking to play a lot they have a great monthly rate. Both the tables and cues are really nice, although most people I've seen bring their own sticks. read more

Not a good Experience! Went to play Pool Tonight and after playing for only 1 Hr and 30 min got a Bill for $32.00! This must be the Most Expensive Pool Room in the Country! My friend wanted to play billiards today and had heard about this place. Tables are fairly good, regulation size. Most of the cues that were there were in good condition, though I did not see hand chalk around I am sure they probably have it somewhere. I was hungry and ordered some fish and chips, and it was like the frozen fish you would buy at Costco or Safeway in the box. The woman working the counter was friendly. I however did feel that 10 dollars for an hour was somewhat overpriced. I know that its Monty and what is not overpriced. But I will probably still keep looking for a better billiards spot though i have heard that this place gets quite a crowd at night. read more

Easy Street is an old school pool room with some modern touches. All 12 maple tables are tournament size (9 ft), the table lights are the best in the world, and the house cues are unmatched anywhere. We strive to create a fun atmosphere. There are a number of games to play including pool, darts, & shuffleboard. We offer a large beer selection in both bottles and on tap, and happy hour is daily from 4-7. We also offer a good selection of food including, chicken strips, cheese sticks, jumbo dogs, corn dogs, nachos, taqiotos and much much more.

For a few years, it was known as BowTie Billiards. It became Easy Street on January 1st, 1999.

Meet the Business Owner: James and Todd O.

James & Todd are both Army veterans -- Todd served in the first Gulf War while James reached the pinnacle of the enlisted ranks and retired a Command Sergeant Major. They took over Easy Street in June of 2015 and spruced up the place!... NEW mahogany bar, 12 highly-maintained 9' tables, more beers on tap, Monterey wines, premium cigars, rebuilt outdoor patio for smoking, etc.

(We wanted to plan for dinner, we don't live around the corner either, it was a drive for us to come out). The 2 employees said sure, they are on lane 2. Then this other employee comes walking up immediately after and stops me and says "I can't have you ask that"...?? Ok..what's the harm in simply asking what their plans are?? They had LESS than half the lanes open on a RAINY day. I asked is there a way to open any other lanes? There were 3 more parties that came in after us! They said with enthusiasm, "no, we can't do that!" You work here, what's the surprise, why not? They turned our water bottles away, you can't bring your refillable ones. And don't expect to get a water bottle or any soda from the vending machine to quench your thirst either, they were completely out, the whole machine even though it was lit up and working. There was a bar there I think? But no one was there... I turned to my family and we all just said forget it, this is nuts... Honestly, the whole place looks pretty terrible. Carpets are stained, walls are dingy, there's zero fun decor-wise, in fact nothing on the walls at all... It looks kinda creepy in an abandoned sort of way. This place was run down, out of stock, employees with irritable and bored attitudes. We won't be coming back and will gladly pay extra to drive farther. It's sad because they are in desperate need of money to help the place. We would have gladly supported had they been open to helping us play a game!

We all agreed that it was worthy of the price tag bc there was a good amount of real crab in it. We really enjoyed the taste and texture. We wished there were more of the garlic bread for dipping! I got the Cioppino, wife got the Crab Pasta and the kids got Fish N Chips + Chicken Tenders. I was very surprised to see a generous amount of crab in my soup. At some places, you get a claw and check that box off but not here. In addition to the real crab, there was a few giant shrimp, mussels, clams, fish, and calamari. Man...everything was very fresh and delicious. I would even have to probably say the best I've ever had! The soup was seasoned to perfection and not too tart. My wife's crab pasta was also very good! I shared mine with her and we swapped for a bit just to sample other dishes here. The kids plates were also high quality as expected from this nice restaurant inside the Monterey Plaza Hotel. To make my bday weekend even better I was able to score a spot right in front of the hotel which isn't easy since it was a non-raining Saturday. This is definitely a "come back and eat" place the next time we're in Monterey.

They have a pretty extensive menu of food and drinks. The food is pretty standard bar fare, but with no shortage of options. The drink selection is quite varied as well, with a good selection of beers on tap. Service has always been exemplary when I've been here - the staff is friendly, fun, and have the gift of quickly remembering their return visitors, which really makes Links feel like a welcoming spot. Food and drinks come out quickly, and my beer glass was rarely empty without the staff coming up and offering another round! Links also has several large golf simulator areas, where you and your friends can practice your swing while playing a number of games against a large virtual projector screen. Add on top of all this the regular rotation of live music and karaoke, and you've got an excellent sports bar that should be on anyone's list who's looking for a fun, casual, energetic sports bar in Carmel-by-the-Sea.
