We were driving through town as well as another reviewer and were flagged down by a trucker telling us our left suspension on our 42ft fifth wheel was messed up. We immediately pulled over found this place within 5 minutes and headed over. They got us in right away and fixed all the issues we had. Very friendly. And done right in quote! I was travelling through the area when I did something stupid....I tore my RV power cord to shreds. I looked online and found Tip's RV. The woman who answered was polite and helpful. After I purchased it, I was at my RV trying to figure out how to connect it. The plug wasn't in a convenient place, but under the sink behind the water heater. So the guys at Tip' came right out and had a solution. An hour later I had a new cord, with a power box in the cord storage area. During the time of repair, I was inside relaxing on the couch with a complementary bottle of cold water with my two dogs. Everyone was super friendly. I could tell the owners and staff really loved this place and the staff worked it like it was their own company. Talk about a rip off. They are completely overcharging me for a trailer repair and there's nothing i can do about it. They know that, and are taking advantage by charging the same amount it would cost to buy the trailer, just to fix the air conditioner. Stay away from Tips RV at all costs! read more

We called and explained our situation before driving 30 miles to get our rv repaired. After a low estimate over the phone, they used crude fear tactics to get more money for a moderate repair. The estimator was rude and she wasted our time and gave us an outrageous estimate after we got there. The way I see it is that, their out for the biggest sucker which hopefully isn't you because your smart enough to look them up before they scare you into spending 3x more than you have to. Be prepared for insults about how crappy your rv is when you don't take the bait. read more

Before driving an hour and a half to see a trailer they listed on KSL., I called with a few questions. The trailer was on consignment and they were "to busy" to help me. They knew nothing about the trailer, and couldn't be bothered to even plug it in to see if things worked. They didn't offer to call the owner to find out more and get back to me, repeating a few times they were to busy. I hope the guy trying to sell the trailer sees this, because he would do better to sell it himself and not pay them any commission. They aren't even trying to offer good customer service. I wouldn't have them repair my trailer with that attitude either. read more

After calling Tipps on the phone to discuss my repair issue they told me they could fix my trailer and to bring it in the next day. I hauled my trailer all the way to them. The lady who writes up the estimates tells me oops we can't fix your trailer, you received bad advice over the phone. She then refers me to a place that doesn't even do repairs. I do not recommend this doing business with Tipps-incompetent and rude. read more

Brought my trailer to Tip's RV 'cause I've done business with them before and it was great. Dropped my trailer off on Wednesday to check for an LP leak with a high concentration coming from the oven and I told them I installed a brand new element in the water heater and new thermostat and asked them to make sure it was working properly. When i finished checking in with the service desk the guy, possible owner, said it would be done that day (that didn't happen). Skip to Friday morning. I checked in at the service desk and asked the girl if there were any notes about my trailer and she said yes there were allot of them. She said they checked for a LP leak and found nothing and that they replaced a faulty heating element in the water heater. So i asked her what do i do if i get home and turn the LP on and it still fills my trailer. She didn't know what to say and asked if i wanted to talk to the owner. I said sure. She went to a back room and told someone that there was an upset customer at the service desk and wanted to talk to him. I wasn't upset at all, i asked a question that the girl couldn't answer. In walks the owner, on the defensive, and he asks me what the deal was. I asked my question and he explains how they run the LP test and he went over some other things that could be causing the LP leaking and strong smell. I told him i just wanted to make sure that i didn't just pay over $325.00 for a three day storage fee just to have my trailer smell of gas again. As we walked to my trailer he assured me that he wouldn't want anyone to take a trailer that Tip's worked on if it still leaked gas and told me to buy a leak tester and keep it in the trailer. I was totally good with this advise. He opened my trailer door and i noticed a water heater element on the floor. He picked it up and said this was what came out of my water heater and it was bad and we stood inside smelling for gas and. He said they checked the gas for 30 minutes and it didn't drop in pressure. I explained that it usually happens after you run the stove and turn it off and the smell gets so bad you can't stay in the trailer. He assured me that there wasn't a leak. So i informed him that the element was not the one from my water heater because i had put in a brand new one the day before i brought it in and the one he had was used and not the one i installed. He asked how i could be sure and i told him the element he was holding was corroded, pitted and had hard water build-up on it and it wasn't brand new. He said let's go ask the employee who replaced it because they did a few elements this week and he could have put it in the wrong trailer. The employee insisted it was the element from my trailer and i told him that was impossible because it was a used one and i put in a brand new one three days ago. I told him i would bet $1000 and my bill that that USED part did not come from my trailer. Both the employee and owner became very defensive and i got upset too. The employee asked me, twice, if i was calling him a liar to which i finally responded with an aggressive yes. That escalated things and the owner asked his employee to go back to the shop and we walked through the parking lot arguing about a stupid used heating element. The owner said he went to home depot and bought the part himself to save me from another three days of having to order one in. He said he would take the cost of the element off my bill and I said i didn't ask for a discount, i just want an honest answer about why a used part was supposedly taken out of my water heater when i installed a brand new one myself. He couldn't answer the question and as we continued to argue he said he wanted me to just leave and to never did business with him again. I asked him if this is how he treats all of his customers and if he were in my shoes how would he feel about how he was treating me. I paid my bill and now have a working water heater, a trailer that still reaks of LP gas and they dorked up my brand new Anderson hitch receiver box on my king pin because they don't take care while moving your trailer around. read more
