Found this hidden gem back in 2020 and have been coming every three weeks ever since for my Gel X w/design and Pedicure with 2 Gel X toe nails. Everyone is so detailed oriented and take pride for their work. I've never walked out with an air bubble or a slanted nail. Each nail tech is down to earth and easy to talk to. Annette is like my therapist. Poor woman gets an earful every time I walk in Keep in mind you get what you pay for. Not the cheapest but definitely the best in town. You get the value of what you pay for. I have referred several of my friends and they keep going back. They are busy, so make sure to book in advance and keep in mind you can't do both your pedi and Gel X at the same time so plan accordingly. Alright well allow me to bless you with my beauties. I found Tips and Toes while scrolling through Instagram looking for nail inspo! The girls make things super easy by scheduling ahead of time via IG with the date, nail tech and specific details about the nails you want so there's no confusion and they even provide you with a quote. As a content creator, Gel-X is the best option for me because they're durable and consistent! The nail application, cuticles and art here are hands down the best in OC. I always receive compliments on my frenchies that these girls are known for perfecting. My nails usually last 3 weeks before I schedule another appointment because the retention! I could probably stretch them to 4 weeks but my nails underneath stay so healthy that they grow out and I need a new set. They have Japanese gels and pretty much any color you can dream of for custom nail art. The best part is that Annette and Mo can give you color recommendations to compliment your skin tone or inspo photos. My go-to is usually a nude/pink base mix, hi-smile white frenchie tips with Almond Short length. The vibes here are always good and they always make me feel comfortable whenever I come in the salon. It feels like I'm catching up with friends!
Highlights: Parking is a little limited because it's a small plaza so carpool or get dropped off. If you want specific nail designs make sure you ask for Mo. Service: I've gotten my nails done by Leslie twice now and she's my new go to. She tries real hard to make sure it's pretty and perfectly painted and shaped. For a gel "spa" pedi and a gel regular mani it was $59. Bottom line: The salon itself is super cute and clean. I love how everyone here is super friendly. They usually can seat walk ins but I suggest appointments. It's super easy to do so on Yelp and they even have a Venmo.
I would never go back to acrylic nails . I had tried gelx before but wasn't happy with it I found tips and toes on instagram and felt in love with their designs . I made the appointment on instagram ( I slide into their DMs ) the girls were super helpful and nice , I've had my nails done by both Mo and Annette. And I've have absolutely love them every single time ! I've had simple and very intricate designs and they have always accommodate me with the designs . I get my pedis here too and my feet always feels so soft afterwards! Best Gelx salon !
This review is for Liz for a pedicure service on 06/28. Well... I wasn't expecting to have such a negative experience, given that that their instagram promoted really promising work. It could be that I came in for a pedicure instead of gel-x/manicure with their head artists? Anyways, I believe the person that worked on my toes was Liz? Long story short, I came in to try out gel-x on my big toe because a while back I had injured my foot and as a result, one of my big toe is still playing catch up with my other one. Anyways, not sure if it was a bad day for the technician today because she did not seem like she wanted to be there. I don't mind not having a conversation with the technician as they're working, but she did not ask me how I wanted my toes (ex. length, if I wanted it cut, etc.) besides whet color I wanted. So... she proceeds to cut my toe nails, which shouldn't be a big issue if she's evening it out, but basically she cuts all my nails short and when she proceeds to file my nails, she filed one of them too much because it started to sting... After the gel-x application on my big toes, she proceeds to just cut the length and after she cuts it, she asks "does this look okay?" -- well at this point there's no really going back so I just said that it was (right foot). She moves onto the other toe and at this point the left foot's toe nail was slightly longer and I actually liked the look of it so I asked her if we can make the right foot like it -- basically she said no, she can only make the left toe shorter to match the right, which I didn't like or have a say in how long I wanted it... By this point, I'm kinda over it because I genuinely just don't like them and I'm disappointed in the service/quality because again, their instagram work looked really really promising, sigh. On a final note, I'm pretty sure my two big toes are uneven (will post pictures), which is ironic because she told me that I should get gel-x extension on both big toes to make them more aesthetically pleasing/even... yet they're uneven?! I just settled with regular polish instead of gel because I'm just not a fan. At the end, she doesn't even tell me that she's done with the service, just proceeds to mop and goes on her phone? Idk... most places typically help me put on my flip flops if I get regular polish, but no surprises at this point. I literally had to ask her if we were done for her to offer me if I needed help with my flip flops Mind you, my toes are just mid... but with the injury, I just wanted them to end up even? Can't say how their manicures are, but HIGHLY would not recommend pedicures. My total was $40. Not sure how it added up to $40 because I booked an apt for the spa pedicure ($25) and I was quoted that each gel-x extension will be $7 ($14 total for both toes... 25+14 = $39?
I found them through IG and DM-ed them to schedule an appointment. They were super responsive to all of my questions even though they were on vacation. I appreciate that they tell you the price when you book so you know what to expect as well. Ken did my nails (Gel X, single color, no design, short almond shape filed down). He was awesome! He made sure everything looked how I wanted it to every single step of the way on every single nail. My Gel X extensions lasted me 3+ weeks before I finally broke a nail. That's a week of vacation + two weeks of work. I'm a dental hygienist and I have to work with my hands all day. I was very rough with them and was surprised they lasted me that long. I'm 100% sure they will last everyone else much longer, assuming you follow their care instructions. Let me repeat that. I did 0 things to ensure my nails would last beyond the 1st week and they still lasted for 3 weeks. I would highly recommend them!
I have been going for a while now ! I never go to nail salons to do my nails, but TIPS & TOES is the place I would only go to get my nails done ! They are run by two sisters Annette and Monique ! And they are absolutely fun to sit and chat with when getting your nails done ! Love the vibes and energy! Please go and follow them on Instagram. They update everyday on their schedules and designs that they do on their clients ! DM them on Instagram to get an appointment and note that there is a $25 fee deposit and you'll get the refund at the end of the day when you are done with your appointment ! It is pricey, but they do put time into the designs that their clients want ! You won't be disappointed!
I've been getting my nails done by Mo for over a year now and it's clear the work is consistently great quality! Appointments are so easy to schedule and you get peace of mind during the scheduling process because policies and pricing are detailed and transparent. The ladies here are so talented and make the experience great. Don't hesitate and make your appointment, you won't regret it!
I came in today for my girlfriend to get her nails done. Here's her review: I came in at 10:00 am to get my first set of Gel-X nails with Monique! My nails were pretty busted cause my previous tech made so many dents on my nails :( Monique was really nice and took her time with my nails! I never felt like she was rushing or anything. She asked every step of the way if I was liking how they looked! I loveeeee how she did the rose quartz design on my nails. So pretty and pink! I'm so excited for my next set!!
I am a silent Yelper, I am the person that reads the reviews but never writes them. However, Annette and Monique are hands down amazing. I have been coming here close over 2 years and I've loved every set I've walked out with. They remembered my name after just the first visit, which to me feels like I'm going to see my friends who just happen to do my nails. I've met some very sweet customers who are also there getting their nails done and we get into some fun conversations. It really is a good time. Booking appointments are a must for Gel-X and done thru their Instagram page. Annette and Monique are upfront about the cost of your nails, the only time the price will change from what they originally quoted you is if you change something last minute at the time of your appointment. If I had a dollar for how many times I get compliments on my nails I'd probably have enough to pay for the next months set . Well I didn't mean for this review to turn into a novel but if you are on the fence about trying out gel-x I say give Tips and Toes a try. But don't get mad when you have to set aside some of your check once you get hooked lol.
Tips & Toes make all your nail dreams come true!! Been going here for almost a year and I've become obsessed! I get so many compliments on my nails wherever I go. Obviously they take Covid seriously using proper procedure, washing hands, taking temperatures, and having sneeze guards set up. Monique always does an amazing job on every set and literally makes all my inspo nails come to life! Definitely have recommended Monique and Annette to all my ladies who are interested in Gel X !
Is there any way to give Tips & Toes more stars? I was devastated to find out that my nail salon in Buena Park had went out of business this past summer. I was desperately searching for an alternative place, doing my research, when I came across Tips & Toes Instagram page. If you have not checked out their IG, you need to: NOW! They are incredibly active, post quality pictures, are up to date on all the best trends, professional, organized, and SO easy to communicate with. I was blown away by their story posts, informational posts, and detail oriented services. I immediately had to reach out to set my first appointment. Monique (Mo) was my, and is currently, my nail salon artist. She's HANDS DOWN the best of the best. The way she intricately checks each finger and speeds through my sets each time I go, shows her extreme expertise and reliable experience. I LOVE the way she handles my hands and is SO comfortable when doing my nails. You can probably tell in 2 mins or less how great she is. I've been getting my nails done since June and will never go to any other nail salon. I get a compliment on my nails almost every time I go out. I literally have given their business card to an In-n-Out employee because we had a full on conversation at the drive-thru about how she loved my nails. In addition to the amazing appearance, their gel-x extension application is also HANDS DOWN the best quality you will ever get. My nails always last a month, MINIMUM, with no chips, lifts or fade aways. I was so impressed by the quality and have continued to stay impressed. My nails even lasted an entire month while I lifted furniture and boxes while I moved. Finally, the workers and owners are just sweet. I love how Liz has a warm persona, Mo exerts confidence and joy, and Annette is so approachable and professional! Ken is also very careful whenever he does all my pedis. 5 star experience, quality, professionalism, kindness, and appearance. Thank you for always being the best!
I've been going to Tips & Toes for a couple years now & I can't say enough good things about Annette & Monique! Not only is their attention to detail & passion for their work so clear to see every single time I get my nails done, but they are the sweetest girls! I always feel so welcomed & comfortable here because of how personable they are & the fun conversations we have. I have never left not liking my nails because of how much time they put into their work & making sure everything looks good & is the look I'm going for. I look forward to every appointment because I know my nails are going to look so amazing afterwards. I've been coming to this salon since February of this year. I found it while browsing on Yelp + messaged them on Instagram (@tipsandtoesoc) for an appointment -- and the rest is history! The staff is so incredibly friendly and made me feel comfortable from the moment I walked in. My first Gel-X appointment, Annette walked me through the entire process from start to finish, explaining every step in-between. And I've been hooked ever since! I loved my experiences at Tips & Toes! My friend put me on and I've now gotten a gel mani/pedi and 2 gel x sets. I'm hooked! The girls here (& guy!) do impeccable work as well as have great energy, are sweet & personable, and keep their salon super tidy & are on top of it in regards to covid regulations. I've never had gel x done prior to coming here and after my first set, I think it's safe to say I won't be going back to acrylics. 5 weeks passed between my two sets and the retention is UNMATCHED! My nails grew out beautifully; no chips, no lifts, no busted a** nails! I was thoroughly pleased & impressed. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS SALON!! read more

I recently rediscovered this gem on Instagram, and ultimately came because I saw that they were offering newer services like gel-x & intricate nail designs. It's so hard to find a nail spot that can provide great nail art at an affordable price in the OC! The girls were all so sweet & funny! They make you feel right at home and welcomed. It was my first time visiting this salon in years, yet I felt like I had been going regularly the whole time. The interior is relaxing & cute, a bonus on top of everything else already great about his nail salon. I think my search for a go-to nail salon & nail tech is OVER! I usually bounce around trying to find the perfect salon that offers quality, up to date nail services, good ambience & greater technicians! This is it for me! I sent a message through the yelp app. And got a quick response. Was able to schedule a GEL X appointment same day. Upon arrival, I didn't have to wait. It was hard picking a gel color. There were so many good ones. With the GEL X process you get to choose your nail shape. And as it's already "pre-shaped" your nail shape is PERFECT. The nail tech filed down the nail to fit my nail bed and "GLUED" them on under the light. Lol. The rest of it was really quick. Normal gel color and under the light routine. My nails grow out quick. And no matter if it's just normal gel color, acrylic and gel, or powder dip... they start lifting two weeks in. And so far, my nails are still perfect. Will update soon! read more

Everyone is super nice and friendly. Super fast response on yelp. Annette, who works at the front desk and responds on yelp, is very informative and helpful. I didn't even ask and she was very clear about the pricing, which I really appreciate. I had a full set + gel on previously, so I got the gel removed, nail cut down and reshaped, and a fill with new gel. That was $30. I was interested in the dried flower designs and Annette said it was $5 each per nail. Again, clear about pricing. I chose to do dried flowers on my ring fingers so the total was $40 + $5 tip so $45. Shaping was done very nicely. I think I had Annie, she was an older Vietnamese woman who was very nice and kept complimenting my hands haha. She was energetic and conversational. Annette came over a couple times to check up and give tips to Annie about how to design my nails. I also requested each nail to be a different color as I brought a photo and wanted my nails just like the photo. Annette made suggestions about the colors and helped me pick the colors very accurately. Towards the end, Monique came into the salon, who is apparently very good at designs according to the other ladies. I think the flower on my right hand was lifting or not perfect (not sure what they were saying because I don't speak Vietnamese) but Annie ended up redoing the flower, which was nice because I didn't even say anything about it but they were paying much attention to the details. Annie suggested in the future to request Annie for the base but Monique for the design, which I'm definitely doing because Monique nails were GORGEOUS-- she said she did them herself. I came home and unfortunately noticed my right pinky was kind of bumpy/bubbly. It's not very noticeable but it does kind of bother me. Not sure if that happened while the top coat was curing in the light? I might go in next week to ask them to fix it. Huge plus is that my cuticles weren't bleeding at all!! This is very rare for me because my cuticles are really sensitive so I get cuts pretty often at nail salons... I made another reservation for my mom and sister a week after because my mom really liked the dried flower design (great for spring time). I think this design is a unique touch to this salon. Annette also messaged me on yelp to give me more info about Gel X, which lasts super long but way less damaging than acrylics apparently. Also the removal process is really easy, so since my mom cooks and cleans a lot, I think Gel X might be a good option for her. I come all the way from Diamond Bar, which is 25 mi away, but I think this salon is worth it if you want to make a day out of it and eat some bomb Vietnamese food in the area. Also, I came in on a Sunday at 1pm and there wasn't that many people. I made an appt the night prior, but this seems like a good day to go. read more

Still obsessed with this place. I'm not a regular, but I know where to go when I want perfect Gel-X done. They'll still remember you even if you haven't stopped by for a while! Everyone is so friendly and attentive. Annette has never disappointed me once. I also received a gel pedi this time around with Liz, and she didn't disappoint! Look no further! Ok so I found this place on yelp, and because I had just seen it passing by; I figured why not! I parked in a designated parking spot.. walked right in and was taken back, shortly there after. I was asked if I wanted to try their 'Gel X'... it's a 'full coverage' opposed to a tip. It's slightly more expensive than acrylics but with them supposedly lasting about a month without lifting, I was willing to try them. I am so happy I did! They are so thin, so easily worn... I'm hooked! I can wash, style, &/or braid hair with ease and confidence that I'm not going to rip out my clients hair, with my acrylics lifting in the back. Also a huge plus, the Gel-X comes off easy (with their removal...not pulling or peeling at them) and doesn't damage my actual nails underneath!! Lastly, I feel the need to mention.. I have sensitive cuticles and HATE that metal e-file most places use... it never even comes out! (The sandpaper one does, but isn't nearly as uncomfortable or scary as the metal) Because the gel x is a full coverage, there's no need to file down the acrylic to shape it; the full coverage system comes perfectly shaped! I get a long stiletto shape. They also have coffin, round, and square shaped available, too. It saves time that Monique isn't having shape each each one to match the others. That being said, Thao did a great job the first time I got them done, it's just worked out nicely that Monique has taken me each time after that. I have been to other salons and have walked out either unhappy with my nails or unhappy with the service or both. Tips & Toes not only gave me EXACTLY what I wanted but the service was exceptional. My nail artist was Annette and she was amazing! From applying the gel X nails to the beautiful artwork she made sure everything was perfect and that I loved it. She is so detailed and you can tell that she cares about her work she puts out. She really is such a gifted artist! Annette is definitely my girl but I have to also give the other artist there credit as well because I couldn't help but notice how beautiful other clients nails were turning out! So happy I came here! My friend recommended me to come to Tips and toes, so I already knew it was gonna be bomb. Annette did my nails and she is amazing- very sweet, excellent customer service, and pays attention to detail. The entire vibe of the salon is a great one and feels very laid back but in the best way possible. Cleanliness and sanitary precautions were top notch as well. Love this place! I remember coming here for the first time and not knowing anything about Gel-X. But Monique explained the process and all the benefits for your nails. Ever since then, I've been coming here to get my nails done! They always last a long time (if you take care of them properly, I've learned the hard way LOL). I wish I took more photos of my nails but they always turn out amazing & so detailed! Their pricing definitely reflects in their work. The salon was very clean and took covid precautions by checking temps and having you wash your hands before signing in. There was only one other nail tech and client in the space during my appointment, with plenty of space between the stations. I've been wanting to try gel x here for almost two years and finally had the chance to make an appointment so I scheduled one via instagram. Monique did my nails and offered great suggestions for what would best suit my nails/ the designed I wanted and was very sweet. The vibes were great, but unfortunately my pinky nail has started to lift quite a bit less than two full weeks after my appointment. This is pretty disappointing considering all the great reviews I've seen for this place and the fact that I don't do any heavy duty stuff with my hands (my jobs involve typing and folding clothing). Still love it here, if not love it more! I recently returned with my girlfriends to get our nails done for a wedding and did Gel X for the first time. Not many salons offer Gel X services so I was excited to try them. I loved how strong they were yet lightweight despite how long I went with these. Its also nice that they're clear in color and a vegan product. Monique took her time and did an awesome job on the design. I received so many compliments on them before and after the wedding. Because these nails survived bridesmaid wedding prep, the actual wedding, two days of scrubbing in for surgeries, and moving furniture, I actually got Gel X done a second time with Monique last week. I feel like these can totally last me three weeks, if not more. I highly recommend Monique and her meticulous work. I'll definitely be back for more regular Gel X manicures. read more

I love this place!!! My tech was so awesome and sweet and my mani - pedi came out perfect :) it's a small shop but it's clean. The prices are reasonable and it was painfree (other manis are painful for me for some reason). Walk ins are welcomed, but you should make an appt just to save a little time and make it easier on them as well. I think I found my new spot and it's right by my house, yayy!! read more

I came in yesterday probably an hour or so before they closed to get a fill and this is the result. I don't remember the name of the lady that did it but for a $28 gel fill I shouldn't have gotten this as a result. I might as well have gotten a new full set. The acrylic wasn't filed down well which left my nails lumpy. The nail itself is cricked from the way she filed them. The gel was painted so badly and when I asked her to fix how the gel polish was touching my cuticle she said it'll wash off when I wash my hands. I never leave reviews on yelp, but this just annoyed me so much. It was so bad I don't even want to come back and complain to get it fixed. I'd rather go somewhere else then spend any time or money here again. read more

I just wanted to say that this is by far the best nail salon I've been to! The salon itself is clean and they make you wash your your hands upon arrival. Annette took her time accessing my nails and explained Gel x expectations and how to properly take care of Gel-x nails. Annette takes pride of her work and literally her work is perfection. I also got a pedicure which was nice. Normally other nails salons would try to push the upgrades and make you feel bad about them but that's not the case. This was my first time and definitely not be my last. I'm already thinking of my next set! Pro Tip: follow them on IG for scheduling. They tend to book really fast. If your looking to do a simple set, I wouldn't recommend, for $70 (not including tip) was not worth it... I asked for a long sharp stiletto than asked to make them sharper after I saw how tech shaped them, ended up the same shape and it was already 40ish min in so I didn't want to bother asking again. Personally to me they look almond shape and that's not my style, disappointed since I was really looking forward to trying GelX. Nail polish had imperfections but did enjoy how the nail tech cleaned up my nail cuticles. read more

The ladies were nice... but quality... not super thrilled. I didn't notice until I got home that a lot of my nails are either lumpy or have an indent in them! She also put so much super glue it was spilling all over my skin. And when filing my tips, I said it was hurting cause she put so much pressure and she said if I do it lighter it'll take too long. I also called 2 days prior and made an appointment for 3 people. But they weren't ready for all of us. We got there first and sat around looking at colors for 10 minutes before my mom showed up. After all 3 were there My sister and I were seated first and my mom had to stand there and wait for 15 minutes so the seat next to me was free. The lady was working on her manicure in the pedicure chair... and continued to work for 15 minutes before moving to the table. If she was gonna move to the table anyways... why not do it when you have another customer waiting? I would understand if you're almost done and there's no point in moving to the table... but she used the table in the end anyways so it was a waste of time to have my mom stand next to our chairs waiting. It was also strange that they only had 1 person who knew how to do acrylics. I've never been to a nail salon where only 1 person was able to do a set. We did complicate things and switch things up so their employees had to switch around a few times but it was also because only 1 person could do what two of us wanted.. which were acrylics... So I have been coming to tips and toes off and on for awhile and I love Monique she is always so sweet and awesome. My problem is I went to a couple other nail salons in the last few months and haven't had the best experiences. So once again I called and made an appointment to see Monique, my nails had been so damaged and I was really worried about what we would do about placing more acrylic over the damage of my natural nails and Monique and Annette suggested gel x and I am telling you, I love the way these nails turned out! Monique thank you so much for you time and effort and your patience in fixing these nails, they look beautiful and I can't rave about you enough. Been going to Tips & Toes for a year now, right before Covid started. I've gone here two times during this crazy pandemic and they take extra precautions.. clean the stations after every customer, wash your hands before starting or even signing in, taking temperature. Everything they can do for their staff, customers and themselves. I feel safe going and being there, it's by appointment only which I REALLY APPRECIATE since it shows they care for the safety vs only seeing people/clients as $. I've been searching for a new salon that does Gel-X Nails which was a bit hard to find since most salons only offer acrylics and powder dip but fortunately I found Tips & Toes! I got to say, they seem to know their sh*t! It's also nice to know they carry a variety of shapes and sizes of Gel-X nails! Staff is SUPER friendly. I have been on the hunt for a nail salon to call my own for years. And i have finally found it with Tips & Toes. I will never go anywhere else for a manicure again!! I first found tips & toes through a friend on instagram and i was so amazed by their designs and color choices. But at first I was apprehensive, because I was never really an acrylics girl and I didn't know what gel x was or if it was right for me. so after following them and seeing all their work for a few months i finally made my appointment. and my only regret is that i didn't do it sooner!! For my first appointment I decided to give the gel x a try, because i wanted the length of acrylic tips, but not the damage to my nails. And let me tell you it is the greatest thing ever. They are so lightweight and Mo applies them so beautifully. And gel x is so strong. Mo told me over and over again how strong they were and i didn't fully believe her until i had them on for three weeks and not one broke, chipped, lifted etc. They looked just as good as the day i got them done! I have had two appointments so far with tips & toes and my experience has been exceptional each time!! Everyone is so nice and accommodating and they really make you feel welcome and make sure you get exactly what you want. Mo has been so patient with me both times, when I didn't know what I wanted and even came up with the galaxy design on her own and it is better than anything i could have imagined. I'm so happy i found tips & toes and I can't wait for my next appointment!! If you have ever wanted to try gel x or just want an amazing experience, this is the place to go! read more

The best nail salon I've ever been to! I started coming here last November and I don't think I'll ever go to a different salon again. Everyone here has such great customer service and they make you feel very comfortable while you're in their salon. Annette and Mo always do such a great job with designs and they always make sure to give you exactly what you want. Before going to Tips & Toes I would never get designs on my nails and now I can't stop! They always come out looking so great and I always get sooo many compliments on every set I get. They also have the best quality! There have been times where I'd have my nails on for 7 weeks and there would be no lifting or chipping. 10/10 highly recommend going here!!! read more

I love Tips & Toes!! I used to get powder dip at a different salon and all the excessive drilling left my natural nails thin and brittle. I tried tips&toes on a whim and they introduced me to Gel X and I am OBSESSED. Whenever I get my Gel X done here I get non stop compliments on my nails and my set usually lasts between 3-4 weeks!! The service is always consistently awesome, everyone is so sweet and Thao and Monique do the most amazing job on my nails, the salon is clean and comfortable, and they have competitive prices w a great range of polish colors to choose from. I know most places don't even offer Gel X but I would HIGHLY recommend making the switch and when you do Tips&Toes is the place to go! read more

I'm constantly on the hunt to find a nail salon that provides quality work. I feel like time and time again that I come into getting my nails done with photos of what I want and the job always comes up way short of meeting my expectations. I think I have finally found a place that truly gets the job done! I decided to check out Tips & Toes after passing it on my way home from work. I reached out to them via Instagram and received a prompt response. They take the time to find out what service you are looking for and encourage you to send in photos ahead of time to ensure they can provide you with what you are requesting. Monique gave me a Gel-X manicure, which I have never had before. I can say that these are better than any acrylic or SNS powder manicures I've ever had. Make an appointment though-they're busy! I wanted to get fake nails for awhile now and I used to see this place all the time driving by my parents house. When I was home for the 4th I decided to ask for a quote and try them out based on the reviews and pictures I saw. They responded quickly and the quoted price was hard to beat and so I made an appointment. Monique was my technician and she did a beautiful job! Very friendly and clean store, and they are on top of their scheduling. She was knowledgeable and helped me understand the process of gel x and why it's awesome. My nails came out amazing and I am beyond happy with my experience. I will be going back to them whenever I am home from SD, and I highly recommend this salon! It's been hard for me to find a place I love and this is the first very positive and fun experience I've ever had at a salon! read more

My review is long overdue but wanted to give a shout out to the sweetest girls (and guy!) at the salon. I've been to Tips & Toes before COVID and they were always clean, but during this time, they've taken extra precautions with cleaning and wiping down after every client as well as social distancing. On top of feeling safe in the salon, their work is AMAZING. I've had gel x sets done by both Annette and Monique. Both are so skilled and perfectionists! They've always made sure I was happy with every step of the process. I can't wait to come back for many more sets to come! read more

My first experience at tips & toes made me want to keep coming back. They provide amazing customer service and quality work. Annette has been doing my nails and I always leave the salon happy. I get gelx and they are applied so it feels extremely comfortable. They make sure to fit every nail perfectly to you. I was getting my nails done at a previous place but they never lasted now I can last 4 to 5 weeks before a new set. I even convinced my mom to start getting her nails and she's very happy with them too. read more

How much for only gel polish and nail cutting?
Gel polish is $12. If you need a gel removal $3 and light filing/reshaping $3. Total would be $18 for gel polish change.
How much is it for a gel x set medium length and a gel pedicure?
Gel X Medium is $55. Pedicures are $17/$25/$35 and to add gel polish would be an additional $12. If we need to remove any previous gel, additional fees apply.
I normally just get dip powder on top of my real nails since it stays on the longest and keeps my nails from breaking. Is it possible to get a design on top of dip powder or is there another option? And if so how much?
