( post nail appointment review ) It's been 2 weeks since I got my nails & toes done here at purely polish. It is safe to say the quality is definitely there. I got short almond deep French with a custom rhinestone design and micro French on my toes. All I had to do was show them a photo of the vision I was trying to create and they did just that! I'll be honest, when I go to a nail salon, I'm just there to make sure my nails are 100% perfect. Then I head to a massage spa after to relax. So I can't really comment on the pedicure/spa experience as I requested for a regular pedi with gel. But my micro French gel lasted through a crazy weekend in Vegas, wearing heels every day, so props to them for doing such a good job!!

Love this place! Been coming for a few years and refuse to go elsewhere! They are super sweet and am never disappointed. Consistently come about every two weeks and each time they leave my nails in Preston's condition. Cuticles are perfectly done, gel is perfect, and truly just look perfect!

Ken does such amazing work! This is the only nail salon I have found in years that my gel x nails can stay on and look amazing for over a month. I drive an hour just to see Ken once a month and I'll never switch! He knows how to do any design I throw at him, he's definitely earned a forever customer here!

I called around 4:30 p.m. to ask if they had time for a fill. The person who answered told me they were busy at the moment but asked me to come in at 5:30 p.m., so I did. When I arrived at 5:30, he was still working on another client and asked me to wait, which I completely understood. However, I ended up waiting until 6:06 p.m. When he finally finished, he told me to sit in the chair at the end. I assumed it was my turn, but instead another client was taken first, and I was told it would be "another five minutes." At that point, I decided to leave. If they knew they wouldn't be ready until after 6:00, I wish they had simply told me to come at 6 instead of asking me to arrive at 5:30 and wait over 35 minutes. I understand that salons can get busy, but clear communication and respecting customers' time go a long way. read more

Originally, I was simply going to remove nails but then I've always wanted to get my nails done by Ken, but didn't get a chance. He's SO incredibly detailed and efficient. Not sure what to get, and want to trust your nail tech? This is the place. If I don't show up with a picture showing exactly what I want (which they can always master) then I let the nail tech go ham on my nails and they always come out PERFECT. I also just have to mention the vibe which is relaxed and enjoyable. There is always music playing and is always different every time you go. Love it! read more

It can be difficult to find a good nail salon when there is one on every corner. Purely Polish is also tucked away on Beach Boulevard so it can be hard to find but when you do, it is so worth it. It doesn't matter who you get, everyone does a fantastic job. You can pick out Jenny, Ken or Ann but it truly doesn't matter, everyone is going to treat you great. My husband is actually the one who found me this salon when we moved here and I am so glad he did. The few times I have gone somewhere else if I happen to be with my Mom in her area, I always wish I waited because nobody is better or lasts as long. read more

Made an appointment on Saturday to have mani-pedi's for my mom and me. They took great care of us from the moment we entered. Did gel extensions in preparation for an upcoming engagement photoshoot and loved how they turned out. Unfortunately my clumsy self broke one of the nails today so I went back in as a walk-in, and they fixed it so fast. My fiancé even got a pedicure while my nail was getting fixed. I went to purely polis nails for a pedicure , it was and amazing experience overall and the management it super helpful and sweet to his customers, very knowledgeable and friendly, the women doing the nails here are also so friendly and welcoming , I had Jenny working on my toe nail designs and she took her time with everything , she cleaned up my feet and made sure they looked flawless, she scrubbed off all the dead skin and left me with baby smooth feet, I will be coming back here again for my pedicures , amazing work read more

I love coming here!! I only work in the area and am not that aware of the good spots yet but this is surely one of them! Ken always does an amazing job and never misses a single detail! If you're looking a consistently excellent nail salon with high quality service, Purely Polish Nails is the spot! I've gone here for over a year and have always had a great experience and beautiful nails. The designs are always so cute, clean, and last for a long time if you care for them well. I have gone here for the last year every 2-3 weeks and have never had an issue. Their pricing, which is SO reasonably priced and has not changed since I started to go here, is worth every penny. They are VERY transparent in their pricing - there's a pricing menu right at the door on their TV. Seeing reviews from people saying "they somehow add fees in the end" is very confusing since the pricing is laid out VERY clearly on the price menu. Seems to me those REVIEWERS are trying to nickel and dime this small business. I HIGHLY recommend you come to Purely Polish Nails if you want cute & high quality nails!!! read more

I've shown him many nail reference pictures and he'd either match the pic or recreate it to look even better. Sometimes I'd tell him to freehand my nails, I'd always leave amazed. However, my most recent experience was disappointing. They didn't even try to clean the leftover eyebrow hairs off my face--I stood up and had them all over my face. It's the little things that make a difference, and unfortunately, I don't feel like they put in the same effort they used to. I really hope they can get back to the friendly and welcoming service they had when they first opened.

I was doing everything I could to still make it to my appointment and expected to be only about five minutes past the grace period. I was even willing to shorten my service to just the Brazilian wax, without the mask, so I could still be seen, and I was willing to pay the full service price with no discount. Unfortunately, the receptionist was not willing to accommodate this. I also asked if I could speak with a manager and was told to email, but that management would not be reaching out to me. I was charged a $40 missed appointment fee, so I emailed management to explain the situation and request that the fee be refunded as a one-time courtesy. Berlyn Ramirez, the founder, responded that she would look into the matter and get back to me. I provided the requested screenshots of my calls. Since then, I have followed up twice requesting a status update and have still received no response. I completely understand having appointment policies and late fees, but I'm disappointed by the lack of communication and follow-through after I made several attempts to resolve the issue directly. I'm normally very punctual and was genuinely trying to make it to my appointment despite an unexpected situation. I would have preferred to resolve this privately, but after multiple attempts to follow up without receiving a response, I feel it's important to share my experience.

I absolutely love the service, the quality, and how long-lasting my nails always are here! I've been coming consistently for over 5 years, but today I felt especially cared for. I came in with a cracked toenail that had dark discoloration from fungus, and honestly, I couldn't imagine how Jenny was going to make it look presentable. But she worked her magic! She carefully cleaned, treated, and smoothed everything out before applying the polish. By the time she finished, my toe looked brand new -- shiny, healthy, and so beautiful. Just found this Nail Spa-Posh Nail Lounge, had a relaxing and pretty nice experience . Never before had a warm-nice towel wrapped around your hands while soaked in moisturizer cream around your nails to soften your cuticles right before Mani is done. Simple gesture by Mimi (nail artist/tech), yet brings a very relaxing and pampering manicure session one can experience. Mimi and the other staff are very friendly, the place is clean, the noise around you is minimized, and a bonus... price is very reasonable! As someone who's new to California, I've tried several spas over the past year, but finding Ken on Yelp was a game-changer. Been here twice now. First time, IVY did my full set dip powder ombré nails and it was amazing! She paid very close attention to detail and it came out beautiful!
