I went on a Sunday afternoon to get my nails done, and I absolutely loved how they turned out! I requested nail tips with a cat-eye polish design, and the results were beautiful. I had Shelby as my nail artist, and she did an amazing job. She helped me choose the perfect tip shape and color, taking the time to make recommendations that suited me. We ended up going with a rounded tip and a gorgeous lilac-purple cat-eye polish, and I couldn't be happier with the final look. Shelby is so sweet, fun, and easy to talk to. I absolutely loved her sense of humor and enjoyed the whole experience. I will definitely be coming back and would highly recommend her! :) read more

Pros: shape is perfect, the color match is great, gems are so cute, friendly and helpful staff Cons: the nail art wasn't quite up to my expectations The overall feeling is close and I'm satisfied. The details weren't quite there. Some of the star lines are not very crisp or a bit crooked/blown out. This was priced at Level 2 art. I ended up paying $125 for a gel builder set + design and a pedicure. read more

With so many options available, it is hard to choose a nail salon in Orange County. Amie and By have an amazing shop in the heart of little Saigon. Everyone here is friendly and willing to make sure you walk out with perfect nails. The artistry and talent is amazing every time for my gel manicure and pedicures. However, sometimes the service is inconsistent: some do massage and lotion and other don't do it at all, some will use the cuticle cutter and others will use the e-file, and the pricing varies. Hands down, the best nail salon i've been to! I am a creature of habit but my last nail salon wasn't doing it for me so safe to say I will be coming back. Customer service was great! I had little wait time but i think my favorite part was that it didn't feel like a business if that makes sense? I usually think a lot of salons are just a money grab business who don't really care but that wasn't the case here. It is a small studio with 3 nail techs and 2 pedicure stations that looks very luxurious (imo) and clean + aesthetically pleasing. I appreciate everyone being friendly and checking in during the service, especially because my mom doesn't speak english. I love my nails! I should've asked for her name because she did an amazing job. I told her what i wanted and she did exactly that without a nail inspo. My mom loved her pedicure and agreed that this place is great! Service Requested & Quality: I got the Gel-X extensions with a summer design. The shape of the nails were perfectly almond. The french tips that my nail tech were so precise. She used a thin paintbrush to line my french tips, used an airbrush expertly, created 3-D flowers artfully, and the line art on my thumbs was my favorite part. Quality: She created art very quickly. She was also very open to me adjusting what I personally wanted that was different from my reference photo. My nail tech was super sweet. I enjoyed our conversations together. My nail tech rushed through my appointment and left the car-eye polish uneven, streaky and honestly lumpy. Some nails were painted way above the nail bed while others didn't reach the sides of the nails. My nails already look so worn after a few days. I normally leave happy so this is a bit frustrating. I normally don't like to leave negative reviews, but I feel this one is necessary. I got a builder gel set done here for Coachella, so I was expecting a higher-quality service and was happy to pay for it. The design itself was exactly what I asked for and turned out really pretty. However, the application process seriously damaged my natural nails. My nails were overfiled, which left them very thin and weak. Within less than a week, I broke two nails from simple day-to-day activity. In my experience getting nails done for years, I know tips should not be overly curved or thinned out, as it compromises the strength of the nail. This likely explains why my nails felt bendy and started breaking so quickly. I ended up needing an emergency appointment at another salon to reinforce my nails with additional builder gel and have them thickened to prevent further breakage. Really disappointed because the design was great, but the nail health aspect is just as important. read more

Cute, small nail salon! 2 nail techs (including the owner) were working when I came. There are 3 stations for manicures and 2 stations for pedicures, so it's a small space. Chloe did a wonderful job on my nails. I asked for gel extension, short almond, and classic French tip. She was very careful and it didn't hurt compared to other times I've gotten my nails done at larger salons. It ended up really neat and near perfect. She removed my previous gel extensions in 10 ish minutes and did my new set in 50-60 min. I came for the $50 summer promo so the price was really good. They offered a free drink, I just opted for water. I would definitely recommend this salon and come back for my next set. read more

I booked an appointment a few days in advanced, paid a deposit and came in for my appointment 30 minutes early on accident at 11am instead of at 11:30am when I was meant to be seen. I wanted a super simple set done and all three nail artist had clients. I waited 30 minutes for my appointment to begin, no communication from any of the nail technicians. I would have been fine waiting for the other clients to finish if there was something said, an estimate of how long or something. My issue here is that if I send a deposit I expect to be seen when I'm scheduled, if it was the other way around and I was 30 minutes LATE to my appointment, I would not have been seen OR had a fee added. it was my first time here, the techs are kind and they were very welcoming as i was a walk-in client. i showed them my design inspo and said that it does not have to be exactly like that, something along those vibes is okay and two techs said they are able to do it. i trusted my tech and trusted the process; however, i heard her tell her colleague in vietnamese that she wasn't sure of what she was doing, so at that point i felt uneasy. once it neared the end of the design process, i asked if this was the final design and my tech said yes. had it looked decent, i would have been okay with it but the result looked unfinished, random swipes of polish on my nails, and it looked nowhere near the inspo pic. i asked her to remove it and went with a single color polish instead. we had previously agreed that my service would include builder gel but in the end, my tech did not do that and i still paid for full service. i really wanted to like this place but this experience left me disappointed. overall, it would have been appreciated if my tech had communicated that she was unsure about the design inspo and i would have been open to redirecting to something different to save both of us time read more

Overall, the experience was okay, but the nails I received didn't match what they show on Instagram to promote their work. I asked for builder gel on my natural nails but there was no cuticle service at all. No pushing back or trimming. While they did shape my nails into an almond shape like I requested. The filing was too aggressive and damaged my sidewalls. There was even a sharp piece left on my thumbnail that would have been digging into my skin if I hadn't noticed and trimmed it myself. I got a chrome French tip design and while the French tip itself looked nice. The chrome was applied and sealed with a top coat that ended up peeling off later that same night. Once the top coat peeled, the chrome came off completely on one nail. And a few others started chipping as well leaving uneven patches. Overall, the nails didn't even last one day, my sidewalls were damaged from over-filing, and it completely ruined my mood since these were supposed to be my birthday nails. read more
