Ok so mixed feelings on this place. Great color selection, but I went like 3 or 4 days ago and have a huge chip on pedicure, um no, pedicures last forever, I typically get a manicure weekly and a pedicure every 2-3 weeks which is always fine, but it may have been a fluke? I did like the different options for the pedicure in terms of picking the scent/treatment. I did not get any parrafin wax and I paid for the deluxe mani/pedi it was $54, which for what it was, wasnt really worth it. The deal with this place is that the pricing changes, the cheapest way is to be a student and go tues-thursday...its more expensive fri-sat and if you are not a student? Its not really a "deal" if you do not have a student ID. I dont know, overall I wasn't thrilled, I really liked my girl she was sweet, and again great color selection, mix of both OPI/Essie... If you are a student and want a mani/pedi on a tuesday or weds, worth checking out.... read more

My daughter and I go here regularly for their SNS polish. As stated in a previous review this does not include a manicure, but I think that is standard in most salons. Kim has done my nails several times, and Lon has done my daughters and we are both very happy. The manicure lasts for a long time and I love their technique here. Unlike some technicians, they are able to layer the powder at the base of the nail so that it is thinner. It looks and feels very natural, especially as it grows out. No other salon I have been to uses this technique and it keep us coming back!! read more

I wanted to give an update and say that it has been nearly a month since I got my pedicure here, and I am only just now getting some slight chipping, and that's with me not top-coating to help preserve it. My pedicure remained flawless for at least three weeks, which is impressive, considering that I went to the beach a few times afterward and am also just generally clumsy and always knocking my toes into furniture and such. Loved this sweet little nail salon! I meandered in on a Friday afternoon with no appointment and they were able to fit me in with no problems. They have a great set-up with the pedicure station on the 2nd floor (as well as a wine bar, if you're waiting), and all the manicure stations downstairs. Great polish selection and customer service - in fact, my manicurist steered me away from a polish that I thought would look good to one that would "look better with my skin tone". That is some advanced nail polishing. I love the proximity to all the shopping and fun around King Street - there is nothing like shopping, a great mani/pedi, and a relaxing glass of wine to create a perfect girly afternoon. Last night around 5 pm my mom called tips-2-toes to see if they had an opening for 3 people to get pedicures at the same time . They said they could fit us in whenever we got there, 30 minutes later we showed up with a bottle of wine and had some of the best pedicures of our lives! We absolutely loved it. The hospitality was great, and the pedicure was amazing. We got the hot stone pedicure, but there are many many options! We will definitely be back and I 110% recommend this spot. read more

I walked into the Tips to Toes Nail Spa without an appointment. I was greeted very politely and they were able to fit me in right away. I picked out my color and sat down in a very comfortable chair with a flat screen with the Weather Channel on right above. Perfect. Hugo did a beautiful job on my nails. He is now working on my toes. They offered me something to drink and I asked for water. They brought it in a beautiful water glass with ice and a straw. First class! read more

Got my nails and toes done as a fast late night choice and they did great. We got there at 7:15 thought they closed at eight, but they closed at 7:30 but they didn't hesitate to help us and take their time ...they didn't seem to be in a rush, The girl who did my nails was super sweet and another guy did my toes and they look incredible and he was really sweet as well! I went in only to get my gel polish removed and when after being asked if I wanted to get another manicure instead of just having it removed, I was scoffed at under the guy who was doing my nails breath. It was $7 just for them to scrape off the gel with a nail file and they did literally nothing else. I asked if they could find them down and buff them out (just tidy them up basically) and they said they would only do a full manicure and that would be another $18 on top of the money that I was paying to get my gel removed. The place was not organized at all and many of the workers were just chilling on their phones in either the pedicure chairs or upstairs when the could have simply tidied up the place. The prices were a little high for the quality, the people were not the most attentive and warm, and the atmosphere is very unorganized and sloppy. read more

I made an appointment for my daughter and I while visiting Charleston. We arrived and were barely greeted. Our appointment was at 3:00 and my daughter did not begin her manicure until 3:55. I made an appointment for a manicure as well but cancelled it so that she could get hers in. The nail tech was clearly working as hard and diligently as she could. Absolutely amazing experience, probably one of the most thorough and relaxing pedicures Ive ever gotten. Definitely spent a bit of extra time scrubbing my feet which was greatly appreciated. There were also scrubs, lotion, and hot towel for my legs which was great. The mani was also very thorough and there was a good selection of colors. What's better yet is that I wasn't completely satisfied with the way a tech painted my nails and the manager was very understanding and repainted them. He said he also looked at the tape and thanked me for telling him because he understood the tech didn't spend enough time or detail to my nails and he really wants to keep the techs doing good work. This is really appreciated because you can see that the manager really cares about the business. Overall would recommend the salon and would definitely visit again. read more

It was a good experience but my nails after 2 days look like they have grown out and the gel nail polish I starting to come up already.

If I could give this nail salon less than one star I would. When you make an appointment here, they won't even start your nails until an hour after they said they could. They are disorganized, and just flat our rude. They don't take their time and leave your nails sloppy with nail polish all over your fingers and hands. They don't do enough coats so your nails always start chipping 2-3 days after you get them done. I have given this nail salon a fair chance and gone 3-4 times and every time I leave I am in awe of how terrible my nails and the experience was. The last time I went the man took a smoke break in the middle of doing my nails. he told me to wait while he went downstairs with a pack of cigarettes. They are mean when you tell them what kind of nails you want and how you want them done. you couldn't pay me to get my nails done here. the only good thing about tips-2-toes is the location. don't waste your time/money read more

I found Tip-2-Toes through Yelp and I was certainly not disappointed. They accommodated our party of 4 with ease and took great care of us. 3/4 of us felt like the staff was thorough (yay for foot rubs!) and were detail oriented. They offered water, soft drinks, and wine to us, which was great after exploring the city. Normally I am not one to post reviews, but after I discovered the change in ownership I decided to give this place one last try. I am SO glad that I did. For the first time, my gel manicure has actually lasted the 2 weeks everyone claims. They still look amazing and I am planning on going back in a week or two to get them redone before my vacation :) My only negative experience was that my nail tech charged me a credit card user fee when I paid, and also charged me an additional $5 when I had a regular gel mani. I thought they were $35- so the pricing should be clear online etc. Otherwise, happy customer and will be back soon! read more

Terrible gel manicure, I could've done a better job myself. When removing my current gel he over filed down to my nail beds to the point it hurt. Didn't get the color to the edges so blank spots on the edges. Then on other fingers the gel was so thick it ran over and developed clumps so he FILED my gel that was already top coated. As most gel users know don't file the gel or it will just end up peeling sooner. So disappointed and it was so expensive. read more

First and only time I will come here. It has good reviews and is super close to my apartment but not worth the price even with a student discount. The man who did both my manicure and pedicure was nice enough, let me read my book, but it was very obvious that he either had terrible technique or had no experience. The second coat of polish on my nails doesn't cover the first coat at all, so I have little ridges on the edges. Also he didn't "cap off" the nails so it already looks like they chipped off. My nails aren't even at all either. Save your money go some where else. read more

After reading the reviews for this salon I was really excited to go. Even as I walked in, seeing so many pedi stations made me optimistic. I was taken upstairs and told to sit in one of the chairs. At no point did they state I would have to wait for the next technician, 15 minutes later. The same person that seated me was now giving me a pedi. Not sure why I had to wait. He finishes my pedi and I realize later the horrible job he did. I've never had such a bad pedi. He didn't touch up, so I have paint on my skin. And he didn't do a necessary second coat, so it's blotchy. My nails aren't straight/even. Coming from DC maybe I have high standard for salons. But to give this nail salon more than 2 stars is a huge exaggeration for the quality you'll actually receive. read more
