After a few mins the unhappy lady took us next. We said we'd need a box since we were planning on getting 9-10 donuts. She snarked, "well I'll have to charge you $.50 for the box if you don't get a dozen." Yeah we saw the sign, but isn't that the cost of doing business?! They aren't charging for wax bags, plus I'm buying 10 items (~$16 worth) which should have the box factored in anyway at only .05 per donut... which is probably the cost of the wax bag they don't charge for! Enough statistical analysis. Then we ask about the chocolate covered Bavarian cream vs. the choc cov'd custard. That sent her into a tiff as she set us straight! Basically their Bav. cream is white & custard is yellow. But most examples online showed Bav. cream as a light yellowy custard! On the bright side most of what we got was tasty. Cinnamon roll & lemonade donut was the best.

Latest visit was last week and we were going to arrive right around kitchen closing (9:30pm). Called in an order and they held it for us/let us eat inside and grab beers. Appreciated that greatly after a long drive. A handful of plant based options like tacos, bowls, and pita sandwiches. I ordered tacos and the pita and both were yummy. Beers are solid and they have other breweries too. Plus cider. The seating options are plentiful (long bar, small and large tables). They can accommodate large groups. The decor is cool inside too. Will absolutely keep coming here when I find myself up north.

Nate ordered a beer and I got the peach raspberry mule, which was delicious - fruity and sweet, but with a bit of a kick from the ginger beer. We decided to split the feta and spinach pizza, but everything on the menu sounded delicious. They also have tacos, paninis, starters, salads, mac and cheese, and a kids menu. The bartenders helping us were super friendly and polite. Our pizza came out super quickly and it was so good. It had a ton of feta, and the veggies were fresh. I loved this pizza and would definitely come back for more in the future. I didn't love the ranch (I think it was just Hidden Valley), but it's still an easy 5 stars for me!

The sausage gravy was just okay, but I couldn't eat the eggs. I even cut one open and left a half on the plate so it was obvious the yolk had been cooked solid. The waitress never once asked why I wasn't eating them or if there was anything wrong. What disappointed me even more was the service. She never came back to check on us after the food was delivered. When she finally returned to refill our coffee, she was talking to someone else and looking in another direction, so there wasn't even an opportunity to mention the issue. To top it all off, I accidentally left my white Yeti behind. I went back first thing the next morning, and they told me it wasn't there. It's literally the only place I went that day, so that was pretty disappointing as well. Overall, it wasn't just the food. Mistakes happen. It was the lack of attention and customer service that left the bad impression.

I rarely drink but my 87 year old mother gets her way and they have Sobieski Vodka which makes my mother happy. My spoiled dog (all Mom's doing) eats FreshPet dog food. The Grayling store always has a variety of it in stock. The bakery, deli and produce usually has a good stock of items. Of course, I go during the week. They have a Starbucks in the store. The only one for miles. I buy decaf coffee beans and get the Pikes Place flavor. No one else in the area carry decaf beans. The parking lot could use some improvement. It's not a first good impression--potholes and barely visible lines. It always seems trashy. Inside the store is clean. Some of the aisles are not fully clear. All the employees are usually helpful and friendly. I personally cannot imagine what it's like to work in a resort area grocery store.
