When I heard our Controller's uncle had passed, I went online to find a place to send flowers from. I ended up first going with a company that sounded small and local, but ended up being based out of New York...we are in Michigan. It was a fiasco and the flowers were not sent. While that experience was resolved to our satisfaction eventually, after that experience, I chose to call a local florist and order on the phone to ensure that I got what we needed, where we needed it, on time. That's where Flowers by Josie comes in. I spoke with April who not only assured me that the flowers would get where I needed them, and on time, she also followed my preferences for blooms and made an absolutely STUNNING bouquet. Easy purchase. Great communication. Exactly what I ordered. Quick delivery. High integrity. You can't go wrong with Flowers by Josie. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Having lived and worked in Grayling for most of my twenty years here in Northern Michigan, I always…read moretry to keep my business local.  Even when businesses shift ownership, I always do my very best to give the new owners the benefit of the doubt.  Unfortunately this time, I feel as if I may have to start looking elsewhere when it comes to a local florist. Case and point; this past Valentine's Day I ordered a bouquet that looked beautiful online.  I bought with confidence because not only has the business been one I've ordered from before (and been pleased with), but the site clearly stated that the pic I was viewing was a "standard size", and for the price, it looked like a good deal.  So imagine my surprise and disappointment when I received a pic of my order from my girlfriend and the bouquet was noticeably smaller and nowhere near what the website advertised in regards to their "standard size".  Since I'm normally not one to complain about such things, I made sure I brought my concerns to a few friends and fellow coworkers who assured me my complaints were not only valid, but a few of them had also had similar experiences and have since taken their business elsewhere. I then reached out to the owners directly to let them know of my concerns and have yet to hear a response, which was even more disappointing.  I too work for a local business where I also receive occasional complaints and always make sure I address them, even if the end result may not be what the customer wants to hear.  But I always make sure they know they've been heard and that I truly do want to help even if it's not within my ability to do so.  I just wish this particular business shared that mindset.

While dropping off a bag of donated garment, I was approached by a rude and obnoxious employee that insisted on yelling at me for dropping the bag in the wrong bin (an honest mistake). She insisted on being extremely combative with me even though I told her I wasn't sure where the proper drop off was supposed to be. She was extremely rude and had no remorse for her terrible attitude. I treat people with respect, and I would hope that someone in customer service would do the same, especially when someone is trying to donate to charity. I hope this employee eventually understands that a little kindness can go a long way. Again, thank you Amy for your help in settling an uncomfortable situation. Bob
