We were both super happy with this selection. We didn't have to wait very long even though there was only one person working that day. The next morning, there was a long line and two people working... and the specialty menu was no longer available. Even so, they did let my husband order the lavender chai latte again. I went with a flat white with oat milk and light lavender. We waited quite awhile and noticed others around us did as well. It was fine since we were not in a rush, but not the best experience. Clearly the staff were stressed with the rush of people and so many orders to fill. The coffees were once again delicious. There is a limited food menu and a small retail area, as well as indoor and outdoor seating. There isn't any other gourmet coffee in the area to my knowledge, so if you are wanting a fancy coffee, this may be your only option. If you hit it right, you will have an incredible experience, but if there is a line during a busy time, be prepared for a bit of a wait. Either way, enjoy your time at Walloon Lake - it's magical!

They have this beautiful ironwork sign out front with their name on it, and it immediately caught my attention. The real star of my visit, though, was Emerson. She was absolutely amazing. She took the time to explain everything they had to offer and gave me plenty of space to look over the menu before ordering. I ordered the Pigeon River Latte and wasn't even thinking about the milk situation. Emerson asked if I wanted whole milk, which immediately reminded me that I am lactose intolerant and that choice would have ended my day very badly . That extra step showed a level of attentiveness that you don't always find. She wasn't just taking an order. She was actually thinking about the customer in front of her, and that deserves recognition. Emerson also explained that most of their menu items, along with many of the products in their refrigerator cases, are locally sourced. The only exception is the burritos. I absolutely love that. Since I'm also a kombucha girlie, I grabbed the "Bumble Blossom Jasmine" and the "Be Still" from Bailey's Farms to try. Both were great choices. The space itself was clean, welcoming, and thoughtfully designed. Parking was easy to find right out front. To be fair, I arrived around 8:00 a.m. right when they opened, so if parking had been difficult, I probably would have been concerned lol. Another detail I appreciated was finding resources in the restroom related to women's safety. It's a small thing, but it showed me that they care about creating a safe environment for their customers. I was also excited to learn that they offer delivery. Since I'm in town working with my team, and many of us are up and moving well before 6:30 a.m., knowing they're open at 6:00 a.m. on weekdays and can deliver is a huge plus. Overall, I highly recommend Brennan's. If you find yourself in Gaylord, Michigan, give them a shot. They earned every bit of this 10 out of 10.
