First, credit where it's due: Kevin did my pedicure today, and I have no complaints about his service. He was friendly, attentive, and made sure I was satisfied before I checked out. The problem arose when I gave Kevin my $10 Mother's Day Gift Voucher to use. He didn't know how to apply it, so he called Emma over for help. Emma came to the kiosk appearing visibly irritated--pressing buttons harshly and speaking in her language in a frustrated tone. Her facial expressions and body language made it clear she was annoyed. I didn't appreciate her demeanor at all. Whether she was upset about the coupon or about being asked to assist, that kind of unprofessional behavior should not happen in front of customers. If management reviews the camera footage between 6:10 p.m. and 6:20 p.m., you'll see exactly what I'm describing. I have no reason to exaggerate or fabricate anything. This isn't my first negative encounter with Emma. On my previous visit, I came in requesting dip polish and was told there would be about a 30-minute wait for her. I agreed to wait since she did an okay job on my Valentine's Day visit. While waiting, I witnessed Emma fussing again--in her language--toward one of the hosts. Shortly after, the host asked if someone else could do my nails. I agreed, but soon Emma herself came over explaining that her next client wanted nail art on every finger and it would take some time. I understood her reasoning, but her attitude made it obvious she just didn't want to do my nails. Ironically, the woman she took instead told Emma she wanted something simple and quick--proving my point. Because of these two incidents, I won't be returning for any services. Emma has completely ruined my impression of this salon. I was genuinely looking forward to the Matcha with Mom event on Saturday, but after today, I have no desire to attend.
