Organic deliciousness. Food that tastes like real food! We purchased a 5 week trial through one of the many, many deals sites around the 'net. It was fantastic, the food was fresh and delicious, and we got to try produce that we wouldn't normally purchase. Sometimes that worked out, I am now obsessed with leeks. Other times, not so much.... dandelion greens and I will never be friends. They are a weed I try to stamp out of my yard, not food. Always, it was an adventure and we can't wait for this season to start up! For 2 people the small bag is more than we can eat, but I have learned how to get creative with soups, sauces, and freezing, so when we are out of the growing season I just have to stick my head in the freezer and pull out delicious local produce. We had one glitch during our 5 weeks, they were short a bag one week. Customer service was great, said they would drop a bag off at our house the next day or give us credit for the farmer's market near our house. read more

Tiny's Organic is a great CSA option for fruit lovers. Tiny's orchards grow marvelous fruit, some of the best in the area: peaches, nectarines, apples, plums and pears. Veggies, not as much variety but they have interesting cucumber and heirloom tomatoes. Every delivery includes an entertaining newsletter with updates on how the crops are coming along and tales of the travails of farming. It's very charming. If you love fruit, making jam or drinking smoothies; this CSA is a good option for you. read more

I signed up for a 5-week trial and really enjoyed the suspense of picking up the box every Wednesday. Tiny's CSA got me to try Delicata squash (which is DELICIOUS, even better than Acorn!), Leeks (they're great with potatoes!) and Golden Beets (I finally like beets!). The food was all good quality, included some high-end items, and the mix was quite fruit-heavy (fruit is expensive). I think this would be a great program for some people. However, it doesn't quite work for me. The pickup location is 1.5 miles from my house and has no parking, so I had to organize a ride to wait for me outside the location so that I didn't have to walk home with a box. I understand that Tiny's now delivers, but we live inside a locked apartment building. The size of the box was also curious. I'm not sure if we just eat a lot, but a Large box only lasted this family of two for 5 days. Some of the food also rotted within those 5 days, which could just be our moldy Seattle location. I'm giving Tiny's 4 stars because I think that the negatives are probably more about my family's situation than Tiny's. If you're looking to try a CSA, I would recommend this farm. read more

Delicious drink freshly squeezed from their locally planted berries - three options: strawberry peach, blueberry as well as blackberry. The owner was kind enough and let us try all three flavors. While all of them were fruity and refreshing, I found myself liked the blueberry one the most - though on the sweeter side, the slight touch of sourness really made the whole taste well balanced. If you are not a big fan of juice, get some berries instead and you would not at all be disappointed! read more

wow, this is a farm that really doesn't give two shits, isn't it? i bought the living social deal to try the csa since i belonged to one a couple of years ago for a couple of years and over time was dissatisfied with the quality of the food and so much was coming from california. but i eat organic and local and this seemed like a great deal and might inspire me to join up. so i got the deal and it looks like it's a tiny box which is fine. but they have had my name misspelled from the get go and every week i correct my name on the sign out sheet and every week it's misspelled again. strike #1. if you can't pay enough attention to me to correct my name, shame on you. then the selection sucks. i mean really sucks. this week i got 3 bags of pears, one bunch of beets, one bunch of chard, nectarines and plums. that's HALF my box in pears. strike #2. i don't even like pears, but i'll eat 4 of them because i know they're good for me. but what the hell am i gonna do with 3 bags and where are the rest of the veggies??? 2 veggies and 5 bags of fruit, and the last 2 were similar. strike #3. plus, in 5 weeks there has been zero lettuce. i then got an email saying how much it means to these fucks that i tried their csa and they want me to sign up and pay for that shit. no sir. i can get local, organic produce at fred meyer and whole foods without having my expectations dashed with every trip. read more

We are a family of 3 (two veggie and fruit loving adults, 1 fruit loving toddler) that cooks almost all our meals from scratch. So we should be the ideal target for a CSA. However, we found the SMALL fruit and veggie bag to be too much for our family's needs, to the point where some of the produce would rot before we got to eat it. And since you get the same thing week after week, the problem just gets worse over time. Part of the problem is that the ratio of fruits to veggies is too heavy in favor of the fruits. The second problem is that it isn't your standard CSA types of veggies--no zucchini, squash, etc.--but just leeks, greens, huge bags of sage, and unripe tasteless tomatoes. The plums, pears, and tomatoes were often not ripe, which was frustrating at the beginning. In fact, the tomatoes went bad before they were ripe. What was really sad to me is that we never got peaches. I LOVE Tiny's peaches at the Farmer's Market. Why they are not in the bag with the giant apples and plums and endless pears is beyond me. Overall problems: unripe fruit and tomatoes, too much fruit, not enough veggie variety, and the same produce week after week. read more

Tiny's has the best stone fruits I've ever had and the staff really knows their stuff. Whenever I go to a farmer's market I look over all the different peaches and plums and pluots and I always go back to Tiny's, which is generous with their delicious samples so I know which donut peaches and Flavor King pluots to get. read more

AcK! I used this service about two years ago and it was fantastic. It really forces you to use vegetables and fruits that you wouldn't normally buy. Fast-forward to 'now' when I'm moving to a more suburban/rural place and looking to get my market fix and POOF! No more delivery! I love the way they include recipes with the fresh picked produce so if you aren't that familiar with the item you can learn something new....a culinary adventure. If you prepay for the following season you can get a screaming deal. It worked out that for 22 weeks of fabulous organic produce I paid around $25 a week for a small bag which feeds 2 people. Try that at Whole Foods! read more

I tried Tiny's for 2 weeks in October after seeing a Living Social deal and was disappointed with both deliveries. The first week 50% of my box was heirloom tomatoes, which would be great EXCEPT all of them were completely green and hard. While I recognize there are recipes for green tomatoes, it would be nice to get some ripe tomatoes as well. The rest of week #1's box included 2 beets, 2 potatoes, one very wilty leek and a few apples. The variety was terrible. Week #2 I received primarily green tomatoes (again!) and apples. About half of the apples were badly bruised. In addition to the tomatoes and apples, I received a couple pairs and a couple potatoes. Less variety than the prior week. I sent them an email after the delivery of the first box and did not receive a response back from them for over a week and only then because I sent them another email about the quality of the second delivery. Poor customer service. I've tried other CSA providers over the last couple years and have generally been happy with the selection, quality of produce and service. Tiny's however falls to the bottom. When I am getting a weekly box of fruits and veggies I expect there to be a variety of produce and for it to be usable during the week for my meals. read more

I LOVE Tiny's smoothies, they taste like a liquid fruit roll-up! They are a must have when we are in Seattle.

I signed up for Tiny's Organic, CSA in the middle of the season, in August. I am not sure if my review would have been different if I signed up at the beginning of season. These are my comments: I am a single person and it is way too much vegetables and fruits to consume within a week. Most ends up spoiling and loosing the freshness and quality. Some of the produce that I receive, I never wish to try, even from the store. Receiving this produce also has prevented me choosing what I like to eat, and if I see something in the store, buying that specific produce. How many potatoes one can consume within a week? Corns are very dry. Pears come already ripened. If you will end up sharing and giving the vegetables and fruit a way to some one, it becomes very expensive. These points might help some person, or single person to think about before signed up. Next year, unfortunately I will pass. read more

DO NOT SET UP AN ACCOUNT WITH TINY'S ORGANIC! Do not give them your bank account information! Back in March I decided that I wanted to **TRY** out the delivery service but I was not satisfied with the quality of the produce and the expense! I should've just used the farmer's markets instead. So I cancelled my delivery by sending emails and leaving a phone message because I couldn't get through to anyone and they only called me back when I was at work. I had to do a "stop payment" with my bank!! I finally got an email back stating they would cancel it if the charge didn't go through but they didn't cancel it. Now 2 MONTHS LATER they still have not cancelled my service AND they keep charging me! I will never TRY out something like this again! read more

I visited Pike Place Market yesterday. The guys were funny, shared free samples of PLUOT PEPPER JAM and WHOLE APRIUM JAM - both delicious. I recommend - buy one - or three as I did. I am always intrigued by everything that included green peppers and that is how I started. The jars are 8 oz. Tinys' CSA is nothing short of amazing. Their produce is always fresh, unblemished, long-lasting and tastes fantastic. They have essentially ruined me for "regular" produce - its all watery and lackluster in comparison. I've been a CSA subscriber for the last two seasons and am already signed up and looking forward to season number 3. (FYI, I recently tried full circle farms in the Tinys off-season and was highly disappointed - it does not compare.) read more

I've been a member of Tiny's for a few years now and I must say I really enjoy their service and products. Yes, there are sometimes repeat items especially in the winter but that's expected as you get what grows locally and seasonally. Even then, they do a good job of creating varieties of selections so each week is different. I look forward to their delivery (I get it delivered now) every week. Their recipes are awesome as well. I try at least one or two out of each newsletter. I signed up for their winter program last year, so now I get Tiny's fruit and veges all year round. Woo-hoo! read more

I signed up Tiny's SCA, and have been mostly disappointed, particularly with the vegetables. A lot of the squash and a good many of the lemon cucumbers have been over grown and picked to late. The lettuce, with the exception of the very first two weeks, is barely edible. The carrots only just showed up and nary a green bean in sight, nor peas. I'd be happy with just good basic veggies. On the other hand the fruit has been good, and the cherries have been excellent. The apples, which someone mentioned were good, are not so good and I am a huge apple fan, but these, first of the season, are not tempting me at all. And they are not ripe either. The peaches were not ripe when they arrived and are not tasty when they did ripen. The pluots are delicious. The problem seems to be, the produce isn't ripe for delivery, and then they have to wait another week, in which they will be over ripened. I will not get this service again. It's pricey and the I'd rather pick out my produce in person, there by getting it in the stage I prefer. I was tempted with the dried fruit offered for "free" to get me to sign up and it was excellent. Dried might be the way to go with Tiny's. read more

This was the worst CSA I have ever been with. I was with them for almost a year through the end of 2013 and every week there was something. Most of time they would run out of things and substitute with cheap fruit like apples - I get that you might run out of things but I am not paying over $30.00 for 3 pounds of apples. A lot of the times their produce was bruised or rotten and it was really disappointing to deal with them almost every week. The worst thing though was the last box I got through them was not at my pickup location; when I asked them to refund my money they just ignored me. They never gave me a refund, and showed no interest in keeping me as a customer. If I could give them 0 stars I would. read more

I signed up for their fruit CSA program and paid the full amount several months in advance. When the time finally came for pick up of the first box, I was so disappointed! The box had only two types of fruit and over half the box contained old, soft apples. The box the second week was even worse so I canceled my membership. I was promised a refund. Over 3 months later, I finally received a partial refund check, cheating me out of three weeks. Their check bounced! Imagine, a company like Tiny's sending me a bad check. I have been trying for over 2 months to get the bad check plus fees replaced. Today I finally received a replacement check, however, they failed to include the fees. This company not only supplies old, bad produce, but they have very poor accounting. They have had my money for almost a year but refuse to reimburse me properly. Don't go through the nightmare I have had to go through. Don't patronize this company! read more
