Hot Spicy Mocha
Akash P.

Such a cute coffee shop and definitely a hidden gem. I found this spot while strolling to get lunch and was immediately curious. I decided to stop by and tried their spicy mocha, which was delicious and really hit the spot. I got it hot, but you can also order it cold if you prefer. There is good seating inside and excellent wifi, which makes it a great place for anyone who enjoys working from a coffee shop. The owner also has a tiny museum filled with miniature items, which I thought was incredibly cute. It's part of a community engagement project where people contribute their own style, making this place feel very welcoming and community-friendly. The new owners are really sweet and lovely to talk to. I can't wait to come back again. Enjoy the photos!

Tiny's Coffee has been around for over 20 years! They first opened in 2002. They have two locations, this one in NE and another one in SE. Right off MLK Blvd, it's easy to drive past this spot and not stop in. But walk there from nearby or use their small parking lot, and you'll find an old school yet charming coffee shop: concrete floors, wood accents, art on the walls (some of it professional, some of it seems like inside jokes from the employees). They serve Water Avenue coffee, Kinglet tea, Henry Higgins bagels, and pastries from Farina. They also have alcoholic options and an early happy hour.

Tiny's coffee has been on my list for quite some time and I have to say I was impressed! When you walk in you order your beverage and/or food at the counter. They have an extensive list of different drinks, teas, and additives (such as syrups or alternative milks) to customize your order! I was pleasantly surprised with the amount of table space in the shop. There was 3 bar stools, 5-6 tables, and a lounge/couch area. In addition to that, there is an expansive patio out back. I ordered a breakfast sandwich and a sugar free caramel latte. Overall the items were good, but a tad heavy handed on the salt for the sandwich and overly sweet on the latte. I would certainly go back again ~~~~ The following information does not impact the overall review, but is added for those interested: Bathrooms: there is a single gender neutral bathroom in the back of the shop

Lovely spot nearby Kiln. I parked in the lot at Kiln Portland and saw Tiny's across the street and decided to stop by and give it a try. I chose a Lavender Latte and my mom got a Matcha Latte. My latte was perfect but my mom said her matcha was oddly thick. Perhaps the barista didn't whisk the matcha very well? The vibe of Tiny's is welcoming and quirky. The red chandelier on the ceiling is unique. Give it a shot!

Love this place. The coffee is always excellent and sandwiches are great. Friendly service and cozy ambiance seals the deal.

Low key quiet tucked in between the food carts and the high divebar. I love coming here to study and the service is great. I came here on a cold fall evening to study and they kept the place nice and warm for guests...unlike other coffee shops nearby that were freezing!

Stopped in here while visiting from out of town. It was a very chill coffee shop--not too crowded at all, which was awesome. The staff were very nice and welcoming. The cold brew was everything that I needed early in the morning. And same with the breakfast sandwich. There was plenty of seating, and the outside seating was even covered.

Mannnnn - just look at this breakfast sandwich! Food and coffee made with absolute love. So glad I stopped in to check this place out. The mocha I got was perfect. The breakfast sandwich was simple but delicious - like something your mama would make. Staff member was genuinely kind. Cute little patio area as well. I'll definitely be back.

I can't really tell you much about this place other than it was near my Airbnb and had a sign that said "Best Coffee in Town", so I popped by to grab an iced latte one day. There was ample seating, the area seemed clean, and the coffee was good (though can't really speak to the best coffee claim). The staff was also very nice and helpful, and treated us with respect. They also have stamp cards, so it might be worth it to be a regular!

I ended up getting the No. 4 which comes with red wine braised beef, grilled onions and peppers, cheddar, and horseradish aioli. There were a ton of different flavors going on, but they worked really well together. The bread was really good too, although it was a little dry. I noticed some other reviews complaining about the amount of meat, but I actually thought they gave a pretty generous portion. We also ordered some pickles on the side, which were surprisingly good and definitely worth trying. Overall, a really good sandwich spot if you're looking for something a little different. I especially liked how creative their menu was, and I'd definitely recommend giving the No. 4 a try although it is a little pricier than the other items.

Let me start by saying I didn't take pictures. For anyone who reads my reviews, that's a big part…read moreof them: ALL THE PICTURES. Presentation, portions, half eaten, etc... but I didn't. Because the food was so damn good. Look - I'm going to start off by saying I grew up practically on The Hill. Out here, you'll have to Google it (make sure to add 'RI' to the search or you'll get some political BS), but back east, "alls you's have ta say" was those two words and anyone would know you knew your Italian, food and otherwise. There isn't anything on this coast that vaguely compares to The Hill's food, but walking into and biting out of Geraldi's was having a little piece of home. There's this little shop in the old town where the owner knew your voice when you called to order... you'd walk in, and you heard "hey cousin!" whether you were or not, and that's the vibe you get from Geraldi's. The food is much the same - you get something that looks like Nonna was at the range all day with her sauce (it's not gravy - no meat) and you came home looking like you haven't eaten in weeks: "I'm gonna fatten you up before you leave" and you walked out the door with a sub (sandwich, that is - not a submarine) that weighed the same as a newborn. We got three of those babies: a Chicago Beef (seal of approval from the orderer - only 'complaint' was that they had to eat it all in one day because the bread was quote too soggy to make it to lunch the next day - travesty), an Italian sausage (just as delicious when 1/2 was reheated the next day) and a Chicken Parmeroni (I thought somehow even better when 1/2 was reheated the next day) and I could have absolutely gone back the next day if it weren't for A. the leftovers 2/3 of us had and B. the meal planning we'd done for the week. I also grabbed a side of giardiniera because I will get it anytime I see it available and I inhaled it - I need to know if I can by it by the vat instead of the side cups because it too was similar to what I can find at home (about practically nowhere out here) and amazing!! I'm still upset I didn't take pictures though!

Atmosphere: Casual, takeout spot…read more Food: Italian Beef was very good. Quite filling too for the size. Price: For a 6 inch sandwich, it's a little on the high side. On the plus side, I was pretty full after eating. Service: Walk-up service. Parking: Small lot in front.

This was an incredible introduction to the Portland food scene, delivering some of the best…read moresandwiches I've ever had. Between the genuinely friendly hospitality and the flavor combinations, this spot hits it out of the park and is a must for sandwich lovers. Griddled Mortadella (5/5): An incredibly delicious sandwich that perfectly balances rich, salty, and savory flavors. It comes loaded with a generous portion of grilled mortadella and melted provolone cheese, perfectly moistened with a tangy mustard aioli. The fresh lettuce and bell peppers added a satisfying crunch to every bite. Chefwich - K-Town Steak Sandwich (5/5): A limited-time creation packed into a banh mi roll. It had a generous portion of perfectly tender and sweet bulgogi steak that pairs with their melted jack cheese. The gochujang mayo sauce had a subtle and sweet heat, while the fresh kimchi added crunch and slight acidity to balance the rich meat. Elote Tater Tots (5/5): Definitely a creative side dish. The tots were perfectly fried and topped elote style with cotija cheese, pairing well with the smoky chipotle mayo on the side. Logistics Tip: Street parking is surprisingly easy to find in the surrounding area, even on a busy weekend evening. The restaurant has a spacious layout with plenty of seating options both inside and outside. If you're a first-timer, don't hesitate to ask the staff for suggestions, as they're exceptionally warm, welcoming, and passionate about the menu.

Though, our food was made quickly and packed with care. Portions seemed good for the pricing! My manager and I got a variety of food to share. We ordered the Korean Pork Shoulder, Beeria Grilled Cheese, Lardo Fries, Hush Puppies, and Tater Tots. My pork shoulder sandwich was divine! The bread got pretty soggy, but there was a decent amount of tender, seasoned meat. The kimchi added spice and texture; I'd recommend it. The fries and tots were fine, nothing special in my opinion. The fries weren't too crispy, but the tots were. I enjoyed the hush puppies and found them pretty dense. My manager enjoyed her sandwich. If you're a sandwich lover, then I recommend trying Lardo.
