San Diego Stereo Shop in Escondido is awesome. Super friendly crew and they really know their…read morestuff. I came in with a general idea of what I wanted and they helped dial it in without trying to upsell me or push anything I didn't need. The install was clean, everything works perfectly, and my system sounds way better than I expected. You can tell they take pride in their work and actually care about getting it right. Fair prices, solid turnaround, and just an all-around good experience. If you're looking for a trustworthy stereo shop in North County, I'd definitely recommend checking them out and ask for Chris he will take care of you .Thanks again SD stereo.

Finding a car audio shop that values reputation over revenue is like finding a unicorn. Then I met…read moreChris at San Diego Car Stereo. The Background: Ten years after an initial install, I was ready for a serious upgrade: moving to a 3-stage system, swapping speakers, changing out amps, and adding a DSP. I'd already purchased the equipment myself - I just needed someone who could install and rewire everything properly. Before committing, I did my homework: contacted multiple shops, visited in person, trying to get a feel for the "soul" of each place. Chris stood out immediately. No hard sell, no upselling on equipment I'd already bought. Just honest conversation about what the work would entail. The Plot Twist: I dropped the car off assuming the previous "professional" install from a decade ago was solid. Wrong. Dead wrong. After a couple hours of pulling speakers and tracing wiring, Chris discovered what can only be described as a hack job. I won't get into the gory details, but let's just say the original shop cut every corner that could be cut and a few that shouldn't even exist. Here's Where Chris Earned a Customer for Life: He could have easily capitalized on the situation. Could have started the work, charged me for "unexpected complications," or any number of ways shops justify inflating bills. Instead, Chris stopped, walked me through exactly what was wrong and what should be done, and charged me nothing for the diagnostic work. Zero. Nada. Zilch. Not an upsell - an honest assessment from someone who cares more about doing things right than doing things fast. The Work: We scheduled properly - two full days, which is what this level of work actually requires when you're not cutting corners. The install was methodical, professional, and done right. The system sounds absolutely amazing. The tune is dialed in perfectly. This is the difference between someone who installs car audio and someone who understands the craft. The Future: I'm already planning the next phase: completing the front stage, custom A-pillar pods, adding more subs and another amp. I just need to gather the time and remaining equipment. But there's zero question about who's doing the work - Chris has earned my continued business for all my SQL projects. The Bottom Line: In the car audio world, especially when you're pursuing sound quality, you need someone who: Won't compromise on proper installation Values their reputation over quick money Has the expertise to actually execute at a high level Is honest even when it costs them Chris checks every box. If you're in North County and serious about your car audio - whether it's a basic upgrade or a full SQL build - San Diego Car Stereo in Escondido is where you want to be. Thanks Chris and Moses.

They installed them perfectly, they look amazing on my truck. I didn't have LED bulbs for my fog lamps, but Moe gave me a great price that included installation, plus a lifetime guarantee on their work and a ten‑year warranty on the fog‑lamp LEDs. You can't beat that kind of confidence. John also helped me out with a Kicker Hideaway 12" for my pickup, and once again, the deal he gave me included installation and a lifetime guarantee on the work. The sound upgrade is exactly what I was looking for and it's not taken up space in my pickup. Both Moe and John were professional, helpful, and straightforward. Great prices, clean work, and solid warranties, this shop really stands behind what they do. Highly recommend Car Audio One if you want quality service and people who actually care about their customers.

I went to the Kicker Audio web site to search for an authorized Kicker dealer in the Chula Vista…read morearea and came across Car Audio One. I stopped in a few days ago to see if they had the speakers that I wanted for the front and rear of my Ford Explorer and they did. I bought the equipment and got there at 9 AM today to have them installed. Within an hour, I got a call saying that the vehicle was ready to be picked up. When I got there, the vehicle was parked in the front and John proceeded to have me test the system before leaving and showed me the old equipment in the back seat. I attribute the short installation time to the fact that I was replacing aftermarket speakers in my Explorer with new ones so they only had to remove/replace what was already installed. No cutting or splicing of wires was necessary. I was also told that two people were working on my car which sped up the installation. The only thing that I wouldn't do is force someone to leave feedback before leaving. As I was getting ready to leave the showroom, I was asked for my phone and before I knew it, a Google review page was open with five stars already selected and a photo was attached. When I checked my camera roll later, I realized that John had taken the picture himself! I don't mind leaving feedback for a business and have done it countless times but I would rather do the work myself rather than it be forced. P.S. There was only one small issue that was noticed when John was trying to get out of the passenger side of the car. He noticed that the inside door handle wasn't working and he had to open it from the outside. This was quickly fixed by one of the techs who popped the door panel and connected the necessary part.
