The 5-Star rating is short of what i would rate them in terms of Serivce, Quality, and Value. It's also for the kindness and HONESTY they put into their work. Let's be real, because we ALL know how difficult it is to find a good and honest auto service shop these days. The service I received was so ABOVE & WELL BEYOND what I had brought it in for. After being in quite a traumatizing auto incident and left with a 3-wheeled car (a tire flew off!) I had my car towed over to Neighbors where they promptly took action and were already in solution mode. Since the car was undriveable the crew came up with a way to roll the car off of the tow truck without possibly causing more damage. From then, I was informed of the many damages in the matter of importance and what needed the most attention in order to atleast get it back on the road. I was even shown a graphic of the main parts needed to be fixed for a better understanding. The costs were broken down and presented in a way that didn't feel "shady" nor unfair. Once the car was done I came to pick it up and literally walked past it because I didn't even recognize it! It looked like an (almost) new car! Any signs of this car being in an ugly street incident just a day prior was all of the sudden, gone. The family at Neighbors truly care about what they do and when I initially brought my car in one of the things that they said was "we just like cars..." They checked it first, told me it would work, charged me a $25 service fee, and said the car would be ready in 30 minutes. When I came back, they suddenly told me none of the sensor batteries were working and that it wasn't working at all. That made no sense since they had already checked the brand new part before taking my money. After I pushed back and asked for my part and refund, a few minutes later they came back saying, "Oh, it's working now." That alone felt dishonest, and then they also tried to upsell me on lug nuts I did not ask for. I would not trust this location. I recommend going somewhere else.

It was finally done 6 and a half hours later (2:30pm). I went home and two days later I hooked my trailer up with the family in the truck and headed out for our new years vacation. Got a mile down the road and heard a weird noise. Pulled over and got out of the truck and looked around and found my driver side rear shock fell off. Called the manager Julio and told him what happened. He sent a mechanic out to fix it but he didn't show up till 4 hours later after my family and I have been waiting on the side of the road. Even though the shop was an hour from where I was. The manager (Julio) even said they probably didn't tighten the bolts and that's why it fell off. Told him I wanted compensation and he told me the owner said he thinks he gave me fair compensation for installing the upper control arms and diff drop kit for free. (Worth $290) I have all screen shots of texts from him. I'm glad the owner thinks my family's life is worth $290 for something that could have been way worse.

I took my 2018 Camry to Colima Auto Body Shop based on the rave online reviews. I dropped the car…read moreoff on Wednesday, paid the down payment and Luis took me back to the border. Then I took the trolly all the way home to El Cajon. The quote was less than a quarter of the estimate of a collision repair shop up here. Two days later Luis called and said the car was ready for pickup. By the way he uses WhatsApp to communicate. I took a taxi from the border to his shop. The work was impeccable and the car was restored to pristine condition. Only one problem. When I looked in my wallet for the money to pay him the money was not there. I probably dropped it as I was paying the taxi driver. I must say that Luis gets extra credit and high marks for not panicking or berating me. He drove me to the border. I took an Uber to the closest bank, withdrew the money, Ubered back to the border and walked across again. Luis picked me up. Then back to the shop, I paid him and I was on my way. The situation was complicated by the fact that I had taken the fob with me so that they were unable to move my car while I was away. My screwups! The shop is located in the back of an apartment building and is accessed through a narrow tunnel in the middle of that building. If you put the address in Google maps, you can see exactly what that building looks like. There is no sign on the street. Following the route on Google maps it is very easy to get there. They don't take credit cards. Luis' English is OK, but not great. He gets a capital P for patience though. Excellent work going above and beyond that necessitated by the collision at a price less than a quarter of the estimate in San Diego.

When you meet Luis, you'll get the impression that he's a honest businessman and that proved to be true. Luis was responsive and always had answers to my questions, he always was open and explained why he was doing certain things. He responded whenever I messaged him. The shop did very good work on my car. It looks brand new now. They fixed a piece of siding, some window parts, my door and trunk latches, they painted parts and fix things on my behalf that I was not even expecting them to do. They finished earlier than I expected. They finished with an extremely good paint job with no problems or hiccups. They were cleaning parts of my car and my tires when I arrived. They asked me questions and provided me with exactly the services that I wanted. I am going to recommend Luis and his team to my friends and family and anyone else.
