Cannot over emphasize how pleased we are with Jackson Junk Removal and Dante in particular. Dante…read moreresponded to our web inquiry promptly and we spoke shortly thereafter. They showed up promptly at the appointed time. They surveyed the work and then got right to it. They were fast and careful and stuff started disappearing quickly. Nothing got broken and things that were donation worthy were carefully segregated. When they were done, the place was empty. The pricing was more than fair, we are happy in every respect. Thanks, Dante.

He showed up on time with his crew of two and got right to work. They removed furniture that was suitable for donation as well as stuff that was just junk. The truck he used was a very large box truck which limited back-and-forth trips. The team carefully removed items from our house, navigating furniture around tight corners. They didn't blink an eye when we went to our semi-wild backyard to collect some grungy things. I requested quotes from three companies and Jackson's was, by far, the least costly. It was a pleasure to meet Denté and his crew. They were very professional, focused and understanding, especially when I added a few items I had forgotten about when requesting the original quote. I would not hesitate to contact Jacksons again for removal of junk or household appliances/furniture. Give them a call. You won't be disappointed.

I Came Here On Purpose...and They Blew It!…read more With gas pushing $6 per gallon, I decided to explore a closer scrap yard option instead of driving all the way to Kent. So I came to The Recycling Depot deliberately -- on purpose -- to compare their prices against other yards in the Seattle area. I left knowing one thing for certain: they don't know what fair pricing looks like. They paid me $0.03/lb for steel. That's right -- three cents. My load was 700 lbs of steel, and they handed me $21.00 for it. That same steel would've been worth around $42 elsewhere (or more depending on the yard). Add in stainless, aluminum, and brass, and my total ticket came to $31.25. Laughable. For comparison, Binford Metal Recycling in Kent would've paid me double on steel alone. That's $21 straight out of my pocket they basically stole -- and that's just one metal. The difference on a full load like mine? Easily $50-$60. Real money. Real loss. And the worst part? No transparency. No explanation. Just: weighed it, printed it, paid you, next. If you don't know scrap prices, you'll get taken. If you do, you'll never return. They failed the test. I came prepared, and they got exposed. I won't be back -- and neither should you!

I don't know how they found their pricing, but I reviewed the receipt and looked up the pricing and they paid 1/2 of what they should have. i still walked away with $100, but it should have been $250 after I looked up the pricing for each metal. it was convenient that they're open 7 days a week. need to work on their customer service and being more accountable and fair.
