I called them in March to start the service in May and to have the new bins delivered - all went well until the first scheduled pick up. Bin pick ups are every Thursday with Recycle being every other Thursday. I leave the bins out on Wednesday evening for Thursday morning pick up - on the first pick up, yard waste is picked up but the garbage is missed. I do the chat feature online and they told me that 'your garbage bin was not out, so it was not picked up.' I let them know that it was put out...they offered to do a missed pick up and said the garage would be picked up within 24-48hrs. It is now July 7th, 2026 and every single week for the last 9 weeks either the garbage or recycle is *not* picked up. Every single week for the last 9 weeks i call and let them know that it was missed, ask if this is normal service, ask if my address was not added to their servicing schedule, ask why it was missed, and every time they say 'so sorry, we will make sure they get picked up.' Completely blown away by how horrible this service has been from the start. I dont even want to go to the Waste Management golf tournament in Scottsdale anymore! Still waiting on a supervisor to call me back and it has been 4 business days since i asked to speak with one...losing my mind. Not to mention i have to pay them for not picking up the bins!

I had just assumed that they did large businesses, but that is not the case! I gave them a call to get some information on rates and they are very affordable: Half Tote: $15 Full Tote: $25 If you want to witness destruction of paperwork then it is an additional $10*. A full tote is 64 gallons which is equal to seven bankers boxes! I had brought my items down to their recycling center in Georgetown, was told to park over by the loading dock where a person met me with a secured tote. After filling the tote I went back to their office to pay and then I was on my way! In my research for places to shred prices definitely varied, but in the end you are paying for peace of mind and protecting your identity is a good thing, right? Just make sure you do business with someone that is AAA NAID certified! * = If you want to witness destruction on a weekday, you will have to get an appointment before 8 a.m. because their mobile trucks go on their designated runs. I have been a Recology customer on Mercer Island for years, and the service has become…read moreunacceptable. Recology failed to pick up our recycling for THREE consecutive collection cycles. We continued paying for service while our recycling accumulated for weeks. This is not the first time we have had missed-collection problems with Recology, either. After I finally submitted a formal complaint and demanded a refund for the service they failed to provide, Recology offered a $20 credit. Twenty dollars does not come close to addressing three consecutive missed pickups, the inconvenience of storing weeks of accumulated recycling, or the fact that a customer should not have to repeatedly chase a utility company simply to receive the basic service for which they are paying. The most frustrating part is the lack of accountability. Missing one pickup can happen. Missing three consecutive recycling collections is a systemic service failure. If Recology expects customers to pay their bills in full and on time, customers should reasonably expect Recology to actually perform the services it charges for. Very disappointing service and an inadequate response to a legitimate complaint.

I happened to lose my direction driving to MCS Recycling which has almost an exact street address as Eastmont Transfer Station but at opposite end; "W" instead of "E" street designator (7201 E Marginal Way). Upon driving to this station, I parked then walked up the ramp to knock on the office for verification & help. There was a young lady working in the office and her name is Savanna. Upon learning of my problems of having a malfunctioned phone/GPS using Waze for direction, Savanna quickly showed me the directions to get to MCS Recycling. Just to make sure I would not forget her instructions, Savanna also printed out a paper copy for me to take with me! She helped me regardless of whether I was a customer of her business or not! I can't say enough good things about Savanna but wanted to share to the public of how nice Savanna was to me and it says great thing about Eastmont Transfer Station management regarding the quality and attitude of the people that they hired to represent them days in days out!
