So when he finally returned, San Antonio Moz fans showed up and showed out. Despite multiple after-party options across the city, fans from Brazil, the UK, Canada, Japan, and all across the U.S. chose Bang Bang Bar as the place to be on a cold Saturday night. Hosted by local emcee Ricardo Moz and Apollo DJ, the night turned into one for the history books. Bang Bang Bar is easily one of Texas' best dive-lounge bars...the perfect blend of gritty and cozy. Great cocktail program, solid beer selection, and a vibe that just works. The décor leans heavy into a 1950s-60s lounge aesthetic, with intimate spaces like the Blue Room and Yellow Room, perfect for groups of 7-10. Low lighting, warm atmosphere, and zero pretension exactly what you want for a night like this. Bang Bang Bar consistently supports local and touring acts, spanning punk, alternative, and DJ-driven nights, and this Moz Smiths Disco was no exception. It was wall-to-wall classics all night long. Major credit to Phanie and the Bang Bang Bar management they rolled up their sleeves, brought in extra bar staff, and handled an overwhelming crowd like pros. Fans waited up to 45 minutes in the cold, with a line wrapping around the building, and the energy inside never dipped. As the host of Panic On The Streets, I'm incredibly thankful to Bang Bang Bar for helping us pull off one of the best after-parties we've done in years. The first night I was greeted by a friendly host and sat at the bar, where Billy took great care of me. He recommended the Cotto e Salsiccia, and I'm so glad he did. It was easily one of the best pizzas I've had. While I was there, the cheesemaker let me try a bite of the fresh mozzarella they were making in-house. It was still warm and absolutely delicious. The next night I was feeling a little homesick after being away for work, and all I could think about was that pizza. I walked back in and the host greeted me by name. I sat at the bar again, where another bartender remembered me from the night before, and Billy came over just to say hi. It seems like such a small thing, but when you're traveling alone, being welcomed back like that can completely change your evening. What really impressed me was seeing that it wasn't just me. The guy next to me ordered two pizzas to go, and when the chef brought them out he smiled and said, "Oh, Jose! I thought this order looked familiar!" You can tell they actually know their regulars and genuinely enjoy what they do. The second night I ordered the Fontina e Salsiccia, and somehow it was just as good as the first pizza. Everything is cooked in the wood-fired oven--even the wings--and you can taste the difference. The crust has that perfect char, the ingredients are fresh, and it's the kind of authentic Neapolitan pizza that keeps you thinking about it long after you've left. I've eaten at a lot of good restaurants while traveling, but very few have made me feel as welcome as Dough did. Great food is one thing. Great people are what made me come back the very next day. Our server Omar quickly filled our drink cups with cold water and took our actual drink order. They have premium lemomades and also fountain drinks with free refills. When he returned he gave us great recommendations from their 8 dollar tapas menu on happy hour (M-F 3-6). We ordered 3: Tacos de Cochinita Pibil / Slow cooked pork marinated in achiote sauce . Calamares Fritos / Fried steak calamari w/ alioli sauce ... Albondigas / Five Spanish pork meatballs marinated in wine tomato sauce with bread .... The bread with the meatballs should be toasted and it was cold. The calamari were AMAZING. Not chewy at all. And tacos unique and flavorful. It took a while to decide but with Omar's guidance and a lot of research beforehand, I reccomend large parties order these to get the best tasting experience: Parrillada Española / Spanish grilled feast with morcilla, 4oz Spanish sirloin, chistorra, three fried jumbo shrimp, and poached potatoes with alioli Toro Paella / Toro's Classic recipe voted best in San Antonio! She continued to recommend every dish that contained shrimp rather than answer about the stock- even after being told about the allergy. Finally got my answer after pointing directly to the menu mentioning the seafood stock. Food was okay. Waited a bit longer but reasonably so due to the allergy and food prep. When the server came she asked if we needed more water- which we did. We waited the entire service for that refill, again nowhere to be seen. We were done with our food for about 30 minutes till she finally checked up on us, with the bill. The restaurant added an automatic gratuity of 20% mind you the restaurant policy was only for parties of 6 or more. Like it made me question the service at this location if they're getting tips but not delivering in service. Definitely wouldn't recommend this location.

The tuna was a bit overdone, but it was full of flavor and tasted great. The grilled salmon came out next and it was delicious. It has moist and tender on the inside and seasoned well on the outside. The crab meat and gravy topping really set it off. Overall, it was great coming back to SILO Alamo Heights and getting reacquainted with the menu. I'll be back to try more of the menu.

I forgot which one he did but the flights are all prearranged to compliment one another. It makes for a nice experience if you're not sure what wine you want to zero in on. As for food, we paired our wine with a charcuterie board. It's a standard board with some baguette slices and a mix of cheeses and meats with a candied jalapeno spread. A very nice compliment to wine. They have happy hour, wine of the month, and a wine/dine theme for every month where they pair wines with a themed menu. Plus sangria is available as well. Coordinating a big table can be tricky, but the service here was *outstanding* from start to finish. Our server kept everything organized, drinks refilled, and plates coming out smoothly without anyone feeling rushed. Everyone in our group felt really well taken care of, which made the whole evening relaxed and fun. The food was just as impressive. Truly every person at the table seemed to love what they ordered -- we had a lot of "you have to try this!" moments being passed around the table. One thing I especially appreciated was the Caesar salad. I noticed another review mentioning the anchovy flavor in the dressing as a negative, but in my opinion, that's exactly what made it great. For me a Caesar should have that briny anchovy depth, and this one tasted freshly made and perfectly balanced. It felt authentic and thoughtfully prepared. Between the warm atmosphere, truly fantastic service, and food that everyone enjoyed, it made for a really memorable evening. We'll absolutely be back! Thank you Renzo's for taking such great care of us!

The signage and uneven walkway made it difficult to find the entrance to the building. There is a very extensive wine list but we chose to drink soda on this night. Once we had our drinks, we went back outside where there is a nice area to eat and drink and talk with friends and family. There was a musician playing on this Friday night but unfortunately he was not very good. We enjoyed the outside and each other's company while we had our beverages.
