This is a long overdue review that I've left unpublished from a few years back. Mr. Hung was absolutely wonderful to work with. He provided quick responses to my inquiries. I had to get my windows re-done on my '13 Accord as my back windshield was bubbling (from another tint shop I went to 7 years ago & didn't want to return to them again). He was honest and informed me that removing the old tint may cause damages to the defroster lines, which I was slightly concerned about... but no worries here. Went to pick up my car and my defroster lines were fine! Few years later, all my tints are still upholding well. No bubbling at all. Even if there were, it is covered under their lifetime warranty. Fast forward to today, dropped off my '25 GHH for ceramic tinting to reduce heat since my car is parked outside 24/7. As always, he's very informative and helpful. Very great quality work for the value. Would definitely recommend if you're looking for a place. It's also computer cut. My friend recently had her car windows tinted here and recommended me to Hung (mr. tint guy). Hung was very informative and knowledgeable in what he does. Like others, I wanted to get my windows tinted for privacy reasons and heat protection. There were 2 types of tint: regular and ceramic. I went with the ceramic tint, which does cost a little more ~$400 but it's well worth it because it reduces the heat so much more. He even had a demo to show the different types of tint and percentages level. It gives you an idea of what your windows would look like beforehand. I misunderstood and accidentally got my drivers side window 30% ceramic which was a little too dark for my liking. I was hella paranoid cause I didn't want to get pulled over by the cops for having dark driver side window and go through the hassle of getting a signature and sending back the ticket with a fee. He was kind enough to correct the window (same day) and adjusted it to go a little lighter for the drivers side. THANK YOU SO MUCH!! I really appreciate it. His service was so quick! I made an appointment for Saturday at 10am and my car was ready at 1pm. All 5 windows were done. I absolutely LOVE the outcome of my tinted windows. Great attention to detail and care. I've searched for days, even weeks, to find a good reputable place to get my car tinted. After using Yelp's quote services and reading some mutual's reviews, I decided to visit Hung aka TintGuy. He responded to my Yelp quote within 10 minutes and I was able to book an appointment literally the next day. I was in a bit of a hurry because I had to return to SoCal and wanted my car done before then. I was amazed by how fast the exchange was. I am in no way an expert in car tints at all. Thankfully when I arrived at the shop, Hung gave me very informative advice on the different materials and recommended percentage of tints for my car. He asked me what my reason for tinting my car was, for which I said for privacy reasons and heat reduction. In his office, he has a little display where he demonstrated the different tint materials against heat. You can literally feel how hot your car would be with the different tints. For my needs specifically, he recommended the global Ceramic tint which cost a little bit more but does reduce heat by a lot. I trusted his opinion and went with it. I got the rear windows and back window 5%, which is the darkest. And 33% for the front windows per Hung's recommendation if I didn't want to get a ticket. The consultation process was only 10 minutes. The tinting procedure was around 4-5 hours. He finished rughon time and the result was amazing. He helped me remove the gross decals I had off my windows without me having to remove them. He included stickers taped on top of the window buttons as a reminder not to roll or wash the windows while it cures for 3-5 days. Super helpful considering I can be forgetful. In the case that I'd get a ticket for the tint, Hung said he'd be able to remove the tint for free.Tint removal for the front doors is free to all existing TintGuy customers if they get a ticket. Once tint is removed you would have to find a police officer to verify and sign the back of the ticket. With that signed ticket and $25 sent to the court your ticket would be dismissed. In addition, he gave me his card information and the lifetime warranty information. If I was not able to come back to him and wanted my tint fixed, I could just show other tint places his card for the same materials. Overall, I love my tint job and would recommend coming here. It is pricey but for lifetime warranty, it's justifiable. He accepts venmo/cash app which is pretty good since more people are using those as opposed to cash/card. read more

I recently bought a new car and gifted my 2012 Accord to my fiance. She's been getting on me about my tint for a few years because it started to bubble and dry out real bad. I decided to get the tint removed and have new tint put on for her. In my search for a good tint shop that doesn't charge an arm and a leg I found Hung, The Tint Guy. I contacted him with what I needed done and he gave me a quick quote but told me that if the tint is too far gone it may be hard for him to take it off. When I showed up at his shop the morning of, he quickly let me know that he wouldn't be able to do the back window because it was too far gone and that my best bet was going to be just getting the back glass replaced. I was ok with this because I knew that it was my own fault for letting the tint get so bad. Hung gave me a price for removing the tint from my four door windows and then re-tinting them. While I was at work Hung let me know that his glass guy could come by and replace the back glass and for a good price. I gave Hung the okay to do it. Later in the day Hung let me know that the glass guy wouldn't be able to show up that day but let me know to bring my car in a few days later and it would get taken care of. This past Tuesday I dropped my car off with Hung. He texted me when the glass guy got there and he let me know that he would actually tint the glass first and then have it put on, that way I wouldn't have to come back at a later date to get the glass tinted. At the end of the day I showed up at the shop and glass guy was putting the glass on. I really feel like Hung went the extra mile in his customer service by arranging all of this for me and hanging around until the glass guy came back to put the glass on the car. The tint looks fantastic and my fiance is super happy that she doesn't have to stare at the bad tint anymore. I had my 2015 Honda Civic tinted last May and have been very satisfied since then! Making an appointment with Hung was fast and easy. When I came to my appointment, I had an idea of how I wanted my tints to look but overall I had very little knowledge about tints and Hung was very helpful and knowledgeable in explaining how it works. 3 hours later and my car was done! What was super helpful was that he put stickers on the window buttons to remind you to not roll down your windows for a couple of days. Otherwise I would forgot lol. You get a choice between regular or ceramic tints. He recommended getting ceramic as it reduces the heat more from the sun than the regular tints so I opted for that. He even showed a little demonstration of difference. I wanted my back window tints as dark as it could get, which is 5% and my front windows to not be as dark at 33% and still be somewhat visible if cops are nearby. Hung explained that he actually purchased a back glass of the vehicle while back so he can make tinting for this vehicle easier and quicker. Hung did a great job on tinting my windows. I really like the results of it. In the beginning, Hung explained to me the different shades and recommended the ones I should get for my car after observing it. The tinting job starts 9:00AM and ended around 11:30AM. I waited in his air conditioned office where he provide cold drinks in the mini fridge and entertainment on the TV. Despite the fact there was couple of issues I noticed on my car after the tinting process, like the trimmings and a bubble formed above the window trimmings). I'm so glad that I went to Hung to get my car tinted! I got my brand new 2021 Honda Accord 2 months ago and the first thing I told myself I'd do is get my windows tinted. I was hesitant for a while from the quotes I was getting from other places. But after searching, I found hung and you cannot beat his price! It was my first time getting my car tinted so I was unsure what % I wanted to go with. Thankfully, Hung was super informative and explained to me the difference between regular tint vs. ceramic tint. He also suggested which tints to go with. I went with ceramic 18%/5% and he got it done in 4 hours. I was super happy with how it came out. Later that day I expressed to hung my concerns on my driver window (18%) as much as I wanted to keep it I was really scared on getting pulled over even though it would've just been a fix it ticket. And I'm still impressed and love it even more! A dash cam isn't recommended on tint but Hung was able to fix my dash cam to where it was able to work. Forgot to put a review up earlier, but I am 100% satisfied with my tint from Hung. He is very professional, attentive, friendly and patient. It was my first time getting a car tinted, but he made me feel comfortable and was obvious he wanted to make sure I was satisfied with the end results. We took in three cars on the same day for ceramic tints and Hung was able to get them all tinted in the time frame he gave without any issues. If there was an issue though that popped up later on I would have no concerns since Hung will take care of that without any problem. Let me tell you, Hung really knows his stuff--he's been working on cars for years at this point. Coming to the appointment, I already knew that I wanted to get the Llumar CTX (nano-ceramic) tint for my Accord. I was looking to go 35/5 (front/back percentages)​ but ultimately went 30/5 after I found out that 35 wasn't offered. While I was initially skeptical due to going darker on the front, I was assured that I could get the tint removed for free if I ever "had" to (if you know what I mean ;) ).
