Lam tinted my little Yaris back in January 2024. My apologies as this review was long overdue. He is amazing! He took his time installing the film and was very careful and meticulous. I love my tinted windows as it gives me privacy when I am driving and when I park my car I feel no one can see the contents inside my car especially my trunk. Great experience with the guys at Computerized Tinting! I was quoted $250 for the front and rear side windows and rear hatch window on a 2015 Honda Fit. I opted for 40% fronts and 20% rears using their standard Global Film. It was an estimated 3 hour job but I got my car back in 2! The tint looks great and I expect it to last with no problems. I've previously had my old car tinted by these guys and that lasted 6 years with no issues! They even leave a courtesy strip reminding you to not roll down your windows while the film cures. Lam was awesome. From the very beginning he was responsive and reliable. The tinting on my rear windows was peeling and I called for a quote to remove it. Sorry, we can't do it." The morning of the appointment. Not only was their price reasonable but they also offered LIFETIME WARRANTY on their Window Tints!!! This place is located near Almaden Expressway and Alma Rd, if you live in San Jose you know'z what I am talking about. We had our windows done about a month ago and Tony did an amazing job!! I had called around several places and he beat out everyone in terms of pricing. Since I was a rookie with tinting, I didn't know there were several kinds, so if you're calling around for quotes, make sure you know the brand. I went in, not knowing and assuming a "tint" was just a "tint" but, we ended up paying more for the better brand. (No complaints about it at all though. It looks superb!!!) He has several window tint options and we never felt like he pushed any of them. We ended up going with the Llumar ATC. The whole process took about 3 hours. He has a waiting room with a movie playing, so it helps with passing the time. He put stickers on all the window buttons, (Fancy!) which helped on several occasions because I almost rolled my window down a couple of days later! Windows can't be rolled for 3-5 days. We went with the 40% front and 20% back and rear windows. Upon leaving, we received a Lifetime Warranty card and a Llumar window cleaning kit. Don't go to anyone else! Got my car tinted here a couple of years ago. The back window is already peeling. On my other two cars previously (not done here), the tint all lasted at least 8-9 years without issues in CA. Contacted them to get warranty work done. They refused because they claim the owner has changed, even though it's the same business name and the same phone number - the excuse is already ridiculous. And the Llumar warranty specifically says warranty can be claimed at any Llumar shop. When I told them that, they said to contact Llumar as they don't have to honor the warranty. I bet they still tell their customers that it's "lifetime" warranty when they take their money. Would STAY FAR AWAY from this scam of a shop and don't trust the lifetime warranty means anything. There are too many other choices around the Bay to come here. Also going to try filing a complaint with Llumar. read more

Horrible shop. They scratched up my car and I had multiple imperfections in my tint. The best thing he could do for me was give me a refund and take off the tint. Not experienced with customers, the owner is a younger kid, a big time waster, and does not reply on time. He really didn't care for my car at all. Went in on a Friday to get a quote for my 14 Explorer sport on just the 2 front windows. He went over the different options for window tints and then said it would be 100$ since its just the fronts (the others are factory tinted) and he even had a spot open the next day. I had chosen the top of the line tint and we even talked about the the other stuff so I know there was no confusion. However when I returned the next day the price was now 200$ for only the TWO front windows? I even asked if he remembered that I only wanted 2 windows done and he confirmed. I had my entire BMW done for 300$ so I felt that this was way overpriced and I left. Can't say if they do good work or not but I will not be back at 100$ per window. read more

Just so you know, I usually don't write reviews unless they're warranted in one way or the other. This is about as good as it get for tinting. Beforehand, I did a lot of research online and talking to folks about various tint products, how they apply it, and general cost. On ALL fronts, Tony was aces. IMO he has the best selection of films in the Valley at each price point (Llumar Air 80, CTX (ceramic), ATC, Global QDP)--I called *LOTS* of shops. Tony did his homework in finding films that offer a combo of best-in-class performance (his selection doesn't interfere w/ GPS, Sat, AM, etc) and longevity and the all important warranty (btw, other shops still sell metalized films that'll mess with your car's signals so make sure it ain't metal unless you have an old car). The only other product one could add to this list is Huper ceramic and then you'd be unnecessarily paying a ridiculous amount for that product. Tony patiently goes through his product line and never pushes you in any way or try to convince you to take the most expensive one if it doesn't work with your goals. He'll answer all your questions and go online if you have a question that isn't readily available. So moving on......Just as important as getting some really high quality film is: the installer. This is what made me most nervous in this process. If you go to Youtube and search tint installs, you'll see guys carelessly sloshing water around all over the door and inside the crevices, cutting the tint ON your window glass with a razor, taking the door apart to get the glass out to bake. All installers have their "way" of doing the install but at YOUR risk, because if the door rattles b/c of removing the glass from the door or you get rust in the innards of the door from the waterfall install or you get your leather damaged....you're SOL. Just read other Yelp reviews of installers who do these other methods, you'll find guys with really bad stories (logical, if your door's factory-tight fit is being messed around with).......and this is REGARDLESS of assurances the shop owners give you on the phone that your door panel will be put back together again in one piece. In those Yelp reviews, they assure you, then take your money, you find out something is wrong with the door and you have to spend a month trying to get them to own up (which they don't). In short, a nightmare. Ya right, I'm not taking that risk! That's when I asked Tony a battery of questions and gave me all the answers I needed to hear. When I saw him do my install, he COVERS each door with a long plastic covers, adds taping to all the doors, and cuts the film on a computer--no razor cutting on your window frame (thus, no potential gasket or glass damage) He automatically works the film EDGE to EDGE on the Llumar stuff & for $50 extra for the Global to go up to the window edge. Then he files down the excess edges so it looks like Original Factory Tint--very PRO!! BTW, I think Llumar (the most prestigious tint company on the market) only gives their products to tint installers who prove tremendous expertise. Not every shop is qualified to be a legit provider of Llumar with the lifetime guarantee (which is honored at any Llumar tint shop). As a consumer, go to the Llumar website and make sure your installer is legit, otherwise your warranty won't be worth anything. Tony was on that list on their website & he gives you an authentic warranty card before you leave. Regarding the install. He took his time on my car. About 3.5 hours and worked METICULOUSLY like a CRAFTSMAN taking real pride in his work. You could tell he knew what he was doing. Suffice to say, he did an AMAZING(!) job...all without messing around with the door panels/glass as others would do. He gave me my Lifetime Warranty Card and also put sticker on my window buttons to remind me that the windows can't be rolled for 3-5 days and gave me a little Llumar badged window cleaning kit. Again, very professional. Since his installs take 3 hours, he has a nice little waiting room with a RedBull fridge, comfy sofa, and he puts on movies on a 42"(?) LCD screen (in my case, Captain America" and "Scorpion King 3") for you while he works in the back. The time went by fast watching movies. You can also stroll outside & short walk to Frys Electronics if movie watching isn't your thing at that moment. So to end it, I'll add another ECHO to the chorus of 5* reviews here on Yelp......He is among the very BEST tint installers in the entire Bay Area--bar none. He takes care of your baby (i.e. car), offers the best tint product selection, and his prices compete with the best of them. I'm impressed!...and that's not easy coming from a cynical guy like me, lol....I cannot recommend him highly enough (A+++). BTW, if you get a front window tint fix-it tix from cops, he'll remove it for FREE. PS...make sure that you bring CASH as he only deals in cash. He said he'll be getting a card machine soon though. read more

Kind of difficult to find so you really have to be on the lookout upon arrival. All the guys here are nice and pretty helpful when you are trying to figure out which tint you are wanting. The tint came out pretty clean, and looked really nice. I however had to take my car back a few times because the film got bunched up at the bottom and started to rip. Computerized Tinting is located inside of "Custom Car Audio" at 210 San Jose Ave. Suite B along with several other garage shops in the same lot and it took a few minutes to find. Tony is a laid back but professional guy. He takes pride in his work and backs his excellent skill with top tier customer service. He helped me to select the tint for my car by placing samples on my windows and measuring the OEM window VLT against the VLT with the samples to see how dark it was going to be before actually tinting. Never did he rush me or push me for different options (although, I personally chose to go with the most expensive tint). Ended up going with Llumar CTX 30% over my OEM Lexus 75% windows. A month after I got my windows tinted, I noticed some small specs of dust trapped under the tint but I like to make sure my car looks perfect. I called Tony and he redid the window in about 45 minutes after he examined it, no questions asked. He said that had he noticed any flaws the first time around, he would definitely have redone it even before giving the car back to me. I've brought my cars and friends cars to Tony for years and i've never been disappointed, his work is above the rest and his prices are the cheapest around. I work next to a reputable tint shop and see a whole lot of high end cars coming in and out, got a quote for them ( for the same stuff) and they're charging way more. I've had one of my older cars done at a local tint place which charged more for a inferior product and it turned out like crap... hard to beat precision computer cutting, and the product didn't last long at all due to installation error. I opted to go with the QDP film from Tony since i've seen really good reviews about it , i wanted to try the Llumar tint but not a big fan of how it looks when it dries. My truck came out great (as usual) , i waited in the waiting room since i didn't have a ride, he has a nice display wall for audio and video components which played movies so that helped out with the passing of the time. I'm a perfectionist and a car junky so if at any point i let anyone touch my cars, it'll be someone i trust. Went here based on a recommendation from a friend. I have been to other shops with my previous vehicles. But all of them I always had issues with. I have a 2015 Subaru STi with 9 windows. Prices was very reasonable. Owner explained the benefits of all the tint he sells. Went over routine of front tint is not legal. Got the Llamar 20% all around. When I picked it up, it was perfect. This is the third time I have had my windows tinted, and the two prior times with other businesses I was severely disappointed. The first place I went to several years ago was Blackout Tinting in Gilroy, and then more recently Mr. Tint in San Jose. I had terrible experiences at both of those places. I don't even know how Mr. Tint has such positive reviews, as they did an extremely poor job over several attempts and didn't seem to care. Granted, I am a bit of a perfectionist and am usually disappointed, but this was one of the rare times where I was actually completely happy with the service provided. The window tint job was PERFECT, by a perfectionist's standards. I looked over all my windows fully expecting to see stuff caught in the tint due to my prior experiences, but I saw NOTHING. This probably has to do with their clean curtained off work area and commitment to sweeping and cleaning regularly between cars, as Tony explained to me in my amazement (as opposed to Mr. Tint that works on your car in the open). Not only that, but they are cheaper than most of their competition. They did an amazing job on my car. They even put little stickers over your window buttons to remind you not to roll your windows down. Long story short, get your car done at Computerized Tinting.
